For one thing dawson happened. Once she got her claws into Casey he lost his balls and became her yes man (just about) . Cant bear to see his wonderful character stuck with her because she is just a Mary Sue who doesnt deserve him. The writing and some plotlines have got steadily sillier and their continuity is atrocious They are constantly shoving dawson into every single story in nearly every episode and she knows everything about everything so can do anything at all and that is just killing it. Think also that the 'action' also seems to be way less now (it's called Chicago Fire for a reason...yeah?) . My personal opinion is that they should have left it as the fabulous stand alone show it was but it started to slide when PD appeared and then Med. Seems like they got too greedy and sacrificed Fire so they could run 3 shows and then Justice just took things OTT. Sad. It could be so great but seems to have had its day now unfortunately...at least that's how it's looking according to the recent viewing figures. '

Yes it is sad to see what the writers and runners have done to this show. It started out fantastically in Seasons 1 & 2 then started to slide. And its still sliding l'm sorry to say. So many of the storylines now (especially the dawson ones) are cringeworthy. They should have kept up the budget for Fire as it was a great stand alone show and should have stayed that way. They sacrificed this show for the others! Wish dawson would clear off for good with her father but no such luck Take one look at him and it is easy to see where she gets her horrible traits from! .

Eeeuw yeah they are both tarred with the same brush - maybe dawson's been to NY to have detective training in her downtime? wouldn surprise me if that cropped up in the future! Think people are heartily sick of dawson - l know l am! Laughed my head off at this! Brilliant! Yes - Ramon said their real family name in one episode - it sounded something like 'Dasonya' so l guess the nearest US version of the name would be Dawson.....

Well tbh dawson is the only one who would have been stupid enough to go in there anyway. None of the others would. The storylines make her look stupid even though she knows everything about everything! The whole story was just to give her more screen time, nothing to do with sense or reality!

l seem to be one of the most vocal in the Anti-Gabby team as l cant stand dawson and hate that they have paired the wonderful Casey with such a horrible character. The only way l can justify him being with her is that he was on the rebound from Hallie's death and desperate not to be alone and then he went and got a tbi which clearly affected his judgement! Wish they had written her out instead of Shay, along with many many other people who feel the same. The showrunners need to take a look on here to find out what people really think of their precious gabby dawson but they are happy in their little twitter world where gabby is perfect! Sad but true! Yep - how very refreshing to find like minded people on here instead of all the twitter rubbish massaging the egos of the showrunners and making them think we want more more more dawson! How wrong can they be? lol

The ego-filled runners and writers are tanking their own show at the moment - surely they must realise what is happening and not go blindly on turning out repetitive storylines and romance stuff. The show is called Chicago Fire for a reason and we seem to be a millions miles away from the fresh excitment of seasons 1 & 2 with all the dawson family rubbish and so on. At the rate things are going CF looks as if it will suffer the same fate as Scandal did! l do hope not though becasue l adore Casey and wish they would get him out of that awful dawsey coupling! And dont forget that when she was a candidate on Truck 81 (what a joke that was) she was an arson investigator as well!

There are a lot of us out here! ep - that's what loads of us out here think as well! Wrong paramedic got killed when Shay was got rid of!

Please don't hate Casey - remember he did have a tbi and was on the rebound from Hallie's death when dawson got her claws into him, and he was desperate not to be alone. Hahaha those 'are the only possible reasons l can find for him being besotted with her!

Unfortunately so many of the storylines in this show are now just plain silly! And Dawson sticks her nose into everything so she can have more screen time! Im sad for the actors who have to put up with rubbish writing and showrunning and NBC don't seem to give a monkey any more! A great shame! It's just become the gabby Dawson show and it's getting boring. The ratings are showing that viewers are dropping the show in droves and the blame for that lies squarely with the showrunners who only seem to listen to the hordes of gabby fans on Twitter. Well they won't have a show to run if they don't do something really radical and soon...like stop shoving Dawson and her family into our faces at every opportunity! Get back to Casey and Severide and the crews fighting fires and doing rescues and the excitement of Seasons 1 & 2! The showrunners don't take any notice of anyone outside of their little twitter world which is a great shame because they might learn a thing or two if they bothered to check other forums! There are a LOT of us out here who cant stand the dawson character and she is tainting Casey as well now sadly. That sounds about right for most of the episodes these days...she seems to be involved in everything in the whole show! Sad and annoying as she is one of the most unlikeable characters on tv.

No its not wrong. There are millions of CF fans who wish with all their hearts that they would get rid of Scabby! Biggest mistake ever was to get rid of Shay - she was way above Scabby's league! l loathe Scabby myself and CF has gone right down in my opinion since it became so dominated by her! Casey has just been relegated to being her servant and lapdog and Jesse Spencer is capable of SO much more than what this show has become. It is such a shame that the EPs only seem to take any notice of the rabid,loud,sqealing Dawson fans on twitter! They need to read this forum and the IMdb boards to see what people REALLY think of Dawson - Yeugh! l'll bet she is one the the most hated tv characters of all time and they keep on merrily shoving her in our faces! Will they never learn? Maybe when Fire ratings drop through the floor! Then they might take note of how they have ruined the show for millions of people who love Jesse Spencer and hate Dawson! Personally l will always support Jesse but wish CF could go back to how it used to be before the showrunners ruined it!

Youre not on your own-millions of others hate Dawson as well but the showrunners obv think they know best! Cant think there has ever been such a hated TV character. And yes, l know its just a tv show but Dawson is awful!

The answer to this is that she hasnt 'lifted Casey up' so to speak - not that l can remember. She just uses him for her own ends and is totally self-centred, entitled and a bitch. l have no idea why the showrunners have made her such a big part of the show - they must be desperate! She is vile! Casey needs to get his balls back and dump her. (Maybe thats why he wanted to go and play golf??Hahaha). She is the weak link but Show seems to think she is something special.
