The quality was so good coz they finally gave the best actor something to actually work with.

I don’t understand when people equate playing a multitude of characters with being a good actor. To me being a great actor is being able to create a believable 3D character with layers. They have the ability to draw an emotional response from you. In this case quality trumps quantity. I have seen a more complicated, varied performance from Jensen playing one character than I have seen from Jared playing 4.

The show will always come back to sam. Which should be fine except he is played by the weaker actor so it feels forced by the writers

With the ew magazine shoot, how many changes of clothes did Jensen have. I swear he had about 4 changes whereas the other guys had about two, not that I am complaining

I am still blown away by Jensen’s performance as Michael. That is how you play the baddest arch angel ever!!! It puts every other performance to shame!

I appreciated that they brought back Pamela. In DSOTM she was pushing for dean to say yes so I thought it was a nice call back that when he did say yes that she was there and I just love those two together

Omg! This ep was fucking brilliant. It was superbly acted, the writing was spot on and it had a great mixture of comedy, drama and action. I loved the bar scenes, it was awesome seeing Pamela, I have always loved the chemistry between her and dean. Michael’s desire to end worlds actually made perfect sense as did his anger at god, it wasn’t some cheaply manufactured whiny daddy issue. I can’t say enough about Jensen’s portrayal of Michael. It was so clever and subtle. He didn’t fall into the trap of overselling that this was a bad character. He was cool, calm and collected and dare I say he even slightly brought me over to his side. And it was so not dean!

I see the sam/ John relationship as an antagonistic father/son relationship. To me it’s similar as to a father wanting his son to follow in his footsteps in the family business and the son rebelling, wanting to do his own thing with a little bit of the supernatural thrown into the mix. The dean/John was a horrible mix of soldier to follow orders, partner( without the intimacy) to provide John with emotional support, mother of his son to provide protection. As far as I’m concerned John only looked to dean for what he could provide for him and never saw him as an actual person. The scene in IMTOD perfectly showed that. He thanked him for providing emotional support, for protecting john’s son and then he gave his soldier his orders

I am not bothered by the deal. What annoys me the most about what they have done with Mary was she knew what was out there yet she did absolutely nothing to protect her family. She was apparently willing to go hunting and leave her one year old son at home unprotected with her husband without bothering to tell him what she was doing. Compare that to dean when he was living with Lisa and the precautions he took.

Wow. Watching the ew promo, Jensen talks about both brothers and their dad and how John gets to see both his boys as grown men. Jared talks about only sam getting to see his idol and coach and that he gets to see him making mistakes and that means that sam can forgive himself. WTF, that makes no sense and since when has John been sam’s idol and coach.

I hate how the show ignores just how bad dean’s childhood was. He never got to be a child. Sam was protected, he was always put first by dean. Because of dean, sam was able to develop an identity and had enough self esteem to be able to follow his own needs. Dean’s upbringing has completely damaged him in regards to how he sees himself in relation to those around him, which is why we see him making the decisions he makes.

I am seriously getting worried about jared’s health, with all the heavy breathing and gasping he does whenever he is engaged in any type of physical activity
