The Starling City Times: News and Media about Arrow
insomniadreams88 replied to Grammaeryn's topic in Arrow
I hate his "that's my goal." And yeah, KA, that's never going to happen. -
Honestly, one of my problems with KC continuing to be on the show is that they clearly don't care to do anything but the minimum with her characters. I may not be a fan of any version of Laurel, but if I have to deal with her on screen, I'd rather it at least be worth it (if that makes sense)? If we have to deal with even a semi-redeemed BS at any point in season 7, I would've rather they didn't constantly show us reasons why she couldn't be redeemed in S6 (like killing when she didn't have to, only seeming to care about Lance in the end, stupidly screaming Diaz off a roof in the finale and not when he burned a guy alive, inconsistent reactions to violence, etc.). They didn't even have to increase her screen-time. All they had to do was tweak a few things in the first ... 19/20 episodes? I have yet to see anything from BS that suggests that she should stick around for another full season. Especially since she's now tied to Diaz with him as her villain. Really, anyone connected to Diaz in any way is an automatic no for me. And they still didn't even try to give her any connections to anyone who's currently alive on Arrow. Lance is dead. She and Sara sort of had a scene together (again, just the minimum) but she's on LoT. Oliver yelled at her for being stupid in the finale, and they seem to understand the best way to deal with SA and KC's anti-chemistry is to have them only interact a couple times over the course of a season.

As much as I’d love this, I’m now at the point that I’m just hoping we get a decent reunion in S7, given what else they’ve robbed us of. Maybe we’ll at least get a hug? Or they’ll take the time to have Oliver thank Rene and Dinah for continuing to fight for Star City instead. Yes, I’m bitter.

So Felicity and William are going into ARGUS witness protection right? Did Oliver forget that a teenager bribed an ARGUS agent last year? A teenager.
-
The interviews have made me even angrier about Oliver not telling Felicity. I may be just as pissed off as I was about the S4 lie. I expect multiple season 7 episodes dedicated to Oliver apologizing to Felicity. That’s it. Also, for Oliver to never keep anything from Felicity again. He better tell her everything. He gets a paper cut? Immediately calls her. Thinks about buying new socks? Tells her before he does. Come on, Beth. Don’t let me down.

They made the ending so obvious that I just didn't care about it? Obviously he's not in there for life. Oh, Lance. Like I said, I miss when I liked Lance. BS was not his daughter. I'm pretty sure if I had taken shots every time someone said she was/wasn't his daughter in this episode, I'd be blackout drunk. I was disappointed in the Olicity scene. No hug? No kiss? No "I love you"? Nothing? And really, Oliver, not telling your wife you've made a deal to go to prison? Especially when it means that she's now a single parent? Oh, he has so much to make up for when he gets out. Don't even get me started on Diaz still being around.
-
Really wish we'd at least gotten an Olicity hug.
-
I feel like I would've been more upset about Lance if he hadn't been an idiot for so long this season.
-
That was so stupid. Are we supposed to now go, "Look, BS finally screamed Diaz off a roof. Even though that definitely didn't kill him. And they really should've taken him into custody instead. Redemption!"?
-
The CW has been glitchy all night for me, which is not helping me try to understand what Diaz is saying.
-
Oh god, not the Arrow twitter too...

I give up on Lance. I miss the Lance I liked. Remember the Lance we got in 618? Why couldn't they just have Sara use one of those devices to erase his memory of Laurel? Even both Laurels, considering he doesn't seem to remember there was a Laurel who was his daughter and probably wouldn't like that he's replacing her with a villain...

You know, imagine if Arrow had written a season finale where the ending wasn't really, really obvious with every single scene...
-
"She's actually not your daughter." Lance, listen to the FBI agent.
-
Ugh, why?
-
I know I should be worried about Rene (right?) but I just want a good Felicity/Anatoly scene.
-
Still. An attempt at a redemption arc - since they seem to be on that track - would've come across better if we'd seen someone else have something. Also, I really can't believe Diaz of all people thought to have something. Diaz. The guy who didn't plan for any of the many ways he should've been killed so far except for basically a shrug.
-
Why did it take until now for Diaz (or any villain) to use all this sonic dampening equipment?
-
Why is Lance greeting Laurel with "hey, honey"? SHE'S NOT YOUR DAUGHTER.
-
"You avoided the raid," says the guy who also avoided the raid.
-
Curtis healed fast?
-
Really, Rene?

I feel like they're not even trying to keep the fact that Oliver's going to prison at the end of the finale a secret? Between releasing that clip which definitely felt like Oliver saying goodbye to Diggle and "a [severance] in their relationship and not one that they imposed on themselves" from EBR's interview with EW... Especially after Oliver going to Watson at the end of 622 and the mysterious deal he makes with her. It's so stupid that it's the finale and they're still trying to make Diaz seem like a Big Bad. "Look, he has these scary people with him! Be scared of him!" Fail.

I hear Laurel.

This Olicity scene better be good. That TV Guide interview makes me think it will be. Still, it better be really, really good, actually, since I know we'll have to sit through way too much Diaz (any Diaz is too much, really) in the finale.
