Obviously things are going to go very, very bad with the Ghost Initiative. (Please let that include Diaz's death. He can take Curtis with him before he leaves.) And it looks like there's a photo of William on Felicity's desk, the sole purpose of which I suspect is to be the perfect transition to a FF at some point.

Yep. Especially the bold. I don’t need any part of Arrow to start feeling like a procedural drama. I watch the NCIS shows and Criminal Minds and shows like that for that. I don’t need to have a dose of Castle with my Arrow. But to be honest? Dinah is the main reason I hate this because probably every time we see Oliver at “work,” she’s going to be there. I really hope Oliver’s getting paid good money for this.

I don't totally hate the blazer, but every time I see it, I just wonder ... why? Also, I wish we'd get a sizzle reel. I need one after this long hiatus.

I just hope Diaz is killed. (Honestly, I don’t care who kills him at this point.) I don’t want him alive anywhere because then there’s always the possibility he could come back. We’ve suffered long enough with him.

Yeah, until we know more, I’m assuming Oliver and Laurel’s storylines are only connected in that they’re both dealing with stuff from the past. I’m not even assuming they’ll be in a (significant) scene together. It’s probably Chico trying to be as concise and spoiler-free as possible. Oliver’s story right now is probably going to be family-related in some way for the next few episodes (Emiko, his father’s actions, etc) while he’s not starring part-time in CSI: GA. Laurel’s probably going to continue to be linked to Dinah, especially since Dinah seems (way too) invested in Laurel this season for how much she hated her last year. Consistency is key, you know?

I honestly don’t think we’ll be rid of Diaz before the finale or close to it. Unfortunately. (Please let me be wrong.) I’m not really wowed by the other villains coming back, but I do think they’re better than Diaz. Which obviously says something because he’s supposed to be a big bad while they’re just recurring villains.

If this isn’t all leading to ARGUS as the big bad, I don’t think we’ll ever see that. (I’m pretty sure I’ve said the same thing before, maybe more than once.) But it does seem like this should lead to Diggle and Lyla in over their heads.

My first thought was Oliver’s past is his father/Emiko and theyre just not revealing that because we don’t know how much Oliver finds out in 710. And I wonder which Laurel’s past it is. It would actually serve E2 LL right to be affected by something from E1 LL’s past in a negative way considering she’s just living her life with zero consequences. I missed that too. Ugh I think I might truly be dreading this episode.

I somehow missed that. Curtis? Really? UGH Maybe his birthday was ruined and we’ll hear about it in this episode. (Still annoyed by that line) I’ll honestly be surprised if Felicity reacts like she should.

I’m assuming different things haunt Oliver and Laurel. And I’m really going to hate this ARGUS/Diaz storyline. I already know it.

Too bad 714 couldn’t be titled The Calculator and the Everwood poster be for TA and we’re getting Felicity’s father back (and actually used well unlike in 609) and finding out what’s really going on with Felicity in the FFs. (I know, I’m probably asking for too much.)

If this is the title and Maya isn't Olicity's daughter, I'm going to need Arrow to stop giving me things that make me think she is. Even if we know by then that she definitely isn't.

Yeah, those scenes were good, but they were a real problem for me in 415, and not just for the reason you listed. I feel like a major problem with 414/415 was timing. How much time passed between Curtis giving Felicity the chip at the end of 414 and her having it implanted and starting PT for her to realistically be able to possibly walk at the beginning of 415? Wasn't it a day or something? There should have been at least a few days/a week, right? But no, William was kidnapped at the same time, and he couldn't have been with Darhk for even a week before anyone did anything, so we got that mess.

Bringing over from the relationship thread: My problem with Susan never had anything to do with her being any sort of threat to Olicity because she wasn't and the show made that clear. However, her presence and how Oliver acted because of her actually made me hate him. Remember those dark days of S5? I couldn't stand that Oliver would actually date a woman who almost cost both Thea and Lance their jobs* and defend her and insist she could be trusted all while she was complaining that she couldn't write an article exposing him to his face ... and for some reason we weren't supposed to see her as shady. I was also annoyed that Oliver didn't seem to even think about the fact that Susan knowing his identity could affect everyone else on the team. I remember even kind of feeling bad for Dinah at the time because they had just basically dragged her to Star City because of her meta ability and Oliver's stupidity could have landed her in some serious trouble. Oh, the days when I didn't hate Dinah. *The show seemed to act like her first episode never happened. I sometimes actually wondered if there was a conversation in the writers room in which someone said, "Hey, remember when Susan was introduced and -- " and MG interrupted and said, "No, that episode never happened. We first meet Susan when Human Target is pretending to be Oliver and then tells Oliver to date her, which is a great start to a relationship."

Is Diaz in ARGUS? Really? I mean, I know that because Arrow wants us to think Diaz is this super great Big Bad that they could put him on Lian Yu on another Earth and he'd still manage to escape and return to Star City to terrorize Oliver and Felicity when they need him to, but come on, really?

Yep, this is what I think too. Or he'll be there, but we just don't know it because we're getting pretty much nothing about the season. (Seriously, can't we get at least one interview from Beth? Please?) Maybe now they'll start slowly revealing that no, Oliver and Felicity didn't "abandon" William in 2018/2019 like it seemed they may have wanted us to think when they first said that in the FFs, just like they'll slowly reveal that Felicity isn't evil/dead? Because they do still need to explain William and Zoe's friendship, and no, I won't buy that they got to know each other while hiding out at the end of S6 and that was it.

I don't hate Oliver and Felicity's new apartment - it does look better in the daylight - but I don't know if I like it either.

I really hope Oliver and Felicity find out about Diaz soon and are allowed to have the appropriate reaction.

I really hope that it’s just the way it’s written and we’re not actually going to see Dinah ordering Oliver around except maybe in front of the mayor and anything she says is what Oliver tells her he’ll be doing. I’m really going to hate this “Oliver works for/with the SCPD” storyline, I know it.

If Tribune and Spectrum don't get it together in the next two weeks, I may not be able to watch the new episodes with you guys. Which would be very disappointing.

I saw descriptions for Flash, Riverdale and SPN online yesterday, and those shows return the week before. So we should get 710’s description (and hopefully photos?) next week I think.

I just hope we find out about future Diggle when we see JJ again and they don’t do the weird “let’s talk around him like he could be alive or dead” like they’re doing with Oliver. That might depend on where they are with the whole Diaz/ARGUS situation in the present at that time.
