  1. It would be different if EBR were leaving due to bts reasons or contract negotiations. But it’s pretty clear she has another project (or two?) lined up. Yes, it’s messy how this is going down. But that can be blamed on COIE, Arrow not ending this season, etc. I also have a feeling we’ll find out after the finale or at SDCC the status of the rest of the cast, ie if it’s true JH will only be in half the episodes. I’ll be surprised if everyone else ends up being in all 10. We may also find out around then if EBR will be back for any episodes in S8, if they know by then.
  2. Oh, I’m not at all worried about them giving Oliver a new love interest. It won’t happen. It can’t happen. He’d what, abandon his wife and daughter (and not seek out his son) to fight for a city that hates him, and then start a new life with someone else while Felicity’s in hiding, alone? And assuming the future isn’t changed, Felicity will still be wearing her wedding ring but he’ll have been with someone else? Whatever happens next season with Felicity not part of the story, that’s the one thing I’m not worried about.
  3. Let me just say this: I want plenty of Olicity, Felicity/Diggle and, in the future, Felicity/Mia and Felicity/William scenes in the remaining episodes of this season. (Also, does it make me a horrible person that I fully expect EBR’s exit at the end of the season to overshadow KC’s if she does leave at the end of 718?)
  4. I don’t recall, but did SA say he was in all 10 eps of S8 when he announced the end or just that there will be 10 eps?
  5. I don’t think anyone is going to miss Felicity more than SA.
  6. It just annoys me that it’s likely that in-story, Oliver and Felicity are going to suffer while everyone else continues living their lives. The only way this makes sense if they continue in the present timeline is if Oliver and Felicity are living separately and maybe occasionally seeing each other. But obviously they stay married (since future Felicity has her wedding ring on).
  7. Yep. Unless COIE is early-ish in the season, then they FF to the future for the rest of the season? And they’ll act like Felicity is just off-screen? We’ll have a better idea after the season finale, I guess.
  8. I really hope she at least comes back for the series finale. Arrow won’t be the same without her. 😭 CH’s comment on her post confirms she’s leaving. Yeah. I just don’t get how Oliver could be in it much considering he’ll then be missing out on Mia’s childhood and time with his wife before COIE to what? Fight for a city that’s going to turn on him?
  9. True. Forgot about that. (Think it’s because I’m so used to watching him on Chicago Med with the beard.)
  10. This seems unlikely since his convention schedule changed due to a production schedule. (Can’t find the tweet at the moment.) I think we’ll get a quick scene with Tommy, however he’s around. Maybe it’ll be a FB? Maybe we’ll find out Emiko was following her brother around and we see her watching Oliver and Tommy at Verdant or something? Maybe FBs revealing how she’s leader of the Ninth Circle instead of Dante?
  11. I’m going to be really annoyed if we don’t see or hear about Walter again before the end of the series. I’ve wanted a scene with Oliver, Felicity and Walter since Oliver and Felicity got together because I really enjoyed Walter’s dynamic with both individually when he was around. And of course I want to see Rory again. (The 150th doesn’t count.)
  12. I’d be shocked if we see Tommy in a FF. That being said, if we do, please let them just add a bit more grey to his beard and maybe a wrinkle or two. Just so we can continue to look at Dinah, Rene and Roy’s aged up makeup and wonder what the thought process behind theirs was.
  13. Oliver’s at home, cooking for Felicity. “It’s a celebratory dinner since Laurel’s gone. I mean, here, let me cheer you up after your friend went all evil with food. I’m so sorry she’s gone (back to E2/in prison/however it ends)? I think?”
  14. After reading the 718 press release, I'll be shocked if Laurel's actually evil by the end of the episode mainly because that would mean that it's actually accurate, which past episode press releases have not been, especially this season. I really want Laurel to say something about Felicity's pregnancy in front of Dinah just so we see Dinah "I'm such a good cop I'm now police captain" Drake completely miss it. Like, say, "I may be evil, but I won't hurt a pregnant woman." Or for Felicity to tell Dinah and Sara that she has to hang back, hand over her stomach like she was in front of Rene, and Sara to pick it up and Dinah to be busy posing. Also, Oliver's not even mentioned. Maybe he and Diggle are looking for Emiko during this and he's not even bothering with Laurel. Which would make me laugh, especially after the 717 description.
  15. How sad is it that I was surprised to see this: It should not shock me when there's a tweet from a show's official account about its main couple.
  16. Uh, what? Nothing that we've seen from E2 Laurel suggests she wants to "honor the memory of Earth-1's Laurel" — and I don't blame her for that at all. I wouldn't care about another Earth's version of myself, especially if I had never met her. Honestly, I'd probably be motivated to be as different from another version of myself as possible, especially if people were trying to make me be her, like Lance was doing to this Laurel last season. Really, fans of E1 Laurel should be more upset about what E2 Laurel's past actions are now doing to E1 Laurel's name than coming up with nonsense like this.
  17. Right? They might as well go full-on ridiculous and just have Malcolm pop up — in the time when it existed, as Emiko was burning it, but the Malcolm who blew up on Lian Yu — and go, "Nope. This is so wrong that it not only brought me back to life, but I traveled through time without a speedster or any devices whatsoever."
  18. I still can't get over this. It screams "we need the print to be large enough/this to be obvious enough that you can see what it is immediately even though it looks absolutely ridiculous."
  19. You know what's sad about that scene? Felicity says Laurel has been a good friend to her, and Laurel actually has this season, but Rene and Dinah haven't and that still hasn't been addressed.
  20. Yeah, that and "LAUREL TEAMS UP WITH OLIVER" at the beginning made no sense. They shared one scene together. The press release made it sound like Laurel would be part of the Emiko story, while she just brought her suspicions to Oliver — while really looking for Felicity — and then had her own thing. And I don't see how that could be part of 718 either, unless they're going to have Laurel being "evil" be part of an attempt to stop Emiko, but I don't see how that would make sense?
  21. Wasn't there an ep earlier this season with a description that mentioned something for Curtis that was in a later episode? Maybe about going undercover for ARGUS? I wonder if that's going to be the case for the Felicity choosing between the team/Laurel part (of the 717 description) with 718.
  22. Why do I feel like they're going to fit an entire redemption arc into 718, especially if it is indeed Laurel's last episode? Especially after that promo really pushing the whole "she's totally evil" angle.
  23. Wasn't impressed. Wish we'd gotten more Oliver/Felicity, but I did enjoy the Oliver/Diggle and Felicity/Alena scenes. So Emiko's all evil and actually the leader of the Ninth Circle? Okay, fine. Just don't care. As for the whole Laurel/Black Siren mess, it's just stupid, mainly because they rushed her "redemption arc" and write it as utterly ridiculous when anyone brings up her past. Also, her murderous past is now apparently just Vince, not the years she spent as a villain, on this Earth and Earth-2. It's stupid. I don't hate her this season, but it's still stupid. The only thing I'll say about the Queen's Gambit thing is to repeat what I wrote in the live thread: That invoice at the end made me LOL Oh, and please let it continue to be obvious Felicity is pregnant around those who don't know because I love when Rene looks stupid. (Dinah, too.) ETA: I don't know what episode that description is for, but it wasn't this one.
  24. Yeah, I'm really confused. Unless they're going to call in Laurel to go with them now? Which wouldn't make sense because nothing leading up to it suggests they would/should. Maybe Dinah calls Laurel to be her canary cry during the fight? I honestly don't know what's going on with those ep descriptions.
