What's going on with the job, Harvester? I made up my mind a while ago to change jobs but haven't had the time to update the resume and prepare. I need to carve out the time and get it done. Honestly, I'm not in the best of moods these days.

I'm glad you and your family are ok, Hostile. I think it's 4 years here for duty and, as soon as I can be called, I am. You have no control over the days other than requesting to be excused or postponing to a later date. I've been on 2 cases so far. I was in the pool for a murder trial but was excused. I have to say, I would have been very uncomfortable if picked for that one. My sister is here and I'm taking a few days off too Valny. Enjoy the visit!

Yes, the whole going into the house and showering seems off. I guess a roommate could have left the front door open and that could be why she didn't think much of it at first. Still, I would have been calling out to the roommate and checking around - or more likely - not going in at all. I guess the broken window was in Meredith's room? I couldn't get a good feel for that the way it was shown. The boyfriend said they got high a lot. I was wondering if maybe she was high/drunk and didn't notice certain things right away. Even the boyfriend commented that he didn't understand how she went in and showered. The reporter in the talking heads irritated me. He kept going on about how you couldn't ask for a better story not once acknowledging the tragedy of Meredith's death. Amazing. Really captured the issue. Overall, I was dissapointed with the documentary. I knew very little before watching and very little after. I felt bad for the boyfriend. Amanda's little rehearsed speeches did nothing for me. I would have preferred to see more direct questions answered. I would have liked to see more evidence of why the investigator thought the break in was staged. While they discussed the changing stories, it wasn't done in a way that made it believable to me. It just seems like so much more could have been explained. Missed opportunity in my opinion.

Sorry to hear that, buffyjunkie. I hope everything goes as smoothly as possible. Gross is accurate. I can't remember it being this humid for this long. Today seems to be a tiny bit better but it's not supposed to last. We really didn't get any comfortable days this year. Went from having the heat on to having the AC on. I wondered too how things would look on stage. I still picture the original actors as the characters. I would have a difficult time seeing others in those roles.

Most people I know state that it's an audiobook they're listening to. I guess because they say it's an audiobook it sounds ok. If they just said they were listening to whatever the book was, that wouldn't sound right to me. Speaking of books, has anyone read the new Harry Potter? When I first heard about it, I didn't want to. I was happy leaving that universe where it left off, but I ended up getting it and reading it. Anyone else?

Happy late birthday Harvester! Saw the Star Trek movie. Some aspects could have been done better or have been fleshed out more, but I thought it was a lot of fun. Anyone have interesting plans for the weekend? Mine will be on the quiet side which I'm looking forward to. Catching up on stuff around the house. I'll be installing some window treatments so hopefully that goes smoothly. Stuff like this usually takes twice as long as I plan for and I'll probably end up with some kind of injury. I'm not the best at these types of things but I manage to get them done.

Glad you had such a nice vacation Harvester. I had the opportunity to travel to the same places a few years ago. I would love to go back and spend more time in some of them. Really beautiful. Enjoy the rest of your trip Barphe. Went to see Secret Life of Pets today. Didn't think it was that good. Did watch Trumbo the other night. I enjoyed that.

I'm going to miss this show. I don't want anyone dying in the finale. I would probably be ok if Shaw died. I can see them finding a fitting way to end her story, but Finch and Reese better be ok - Lionel too. The only thing not working for me is the machine using Root's voice. It's a little ridiculous, but I found Harold's "conversations" with the machine more emotional when it didn't have a voice. Those scenes had much more of an impact for me. Using Root's voice is taking something away for me. I think any voice would but Root's is a little more problematic.

Have you watched any of these - Orphan Black, Humans, Person of Interst, The Returned, Daredevil, The Leftovers? I'm not positive they are all on Netflix, but they're worth a watch.

I'm here as well. I'm still not a Facebooker, so here is it for me. Things have started to settle down in one respect - we found a wonderful caregiver for my mom (although she called in sick, so I hope she is back soon) - and are a bit of a mess in another - I'm slowly organizing for a job search. I'm still working, so that allows me the time to prepare. It's something I should have done a long time ago, but I feel better that I'm actively working towards it now - even if it's only teeny steps. I'm also still trying to find a balance between all the responsibilities with my mom and carving out some time for myself. That's a toughie. I'm glad things have settled down Barphe.

I am not a good hostess. I try, I stress and it turns out ok. I can live with that. I consider it a success if I don't food poison anyone. Yeah, low bar. That's all you need, buffyjunkie. I planted some large flowerpots and put out some hanging baskets a couple of weeks ago. Livens everything up. It's so nice to see some color. Happy birthday, LnB! Hope everyone has a great weekend.

You're not alone, Valny. That's happened to at least 3 people at work. Personally, I find it a little creepy. So far my computer hasn't upgraded itself. Although, I was told the upgrade is free now but won't be for much longer, so maybe it's a good thing it happened now. I have no desire to upgrade but work may want me to because of the cost factor. And, I hope you have a great visit with your sister. Mine also visited this week and I took a couple of days off as well. I've decided it's time to look for a new job. It's actually long overdue. Talk about not liking change - it's kept me in an unpleasant environment for much too long. I'm in the preparation stage now. I have to change my mindset, because I'm not looking forward to this. It's such a roller coaster. I hope everyone has a nice weekend!

That seems a good length, Erratic. Enjoy the visit. Captain America was fun. I must be getting old though. I found the jerky camera movements in the fight scenes very distracting.
