  1. I really don't understand NewGuy's reasoning in the case of brother suing sister over their mother's house.  He only had the sister's word for it that the brother had cheated their mother out of the house.  HE is on the ownership papers.  It's HIS house.  Until they get the mother there to contradict him, they have to believe the state, which, as far as they are concerned, the brother owns the house.  NewGuy had no business putting his own opinion into his reasoning.

  2. I had to laugh at the lady in this morning's dog case named Lightning Rasmussen.

Apparently Byrd lives up here in Sacramento.  There was an article in this morning's Sacramento Bee about a young man (23) who is a well-known blues magician in the area (he's an award winning performer), and has been since he was about 14 years old.  Recently, he became a sheriff's deputy.  And over the weekend, he was arrested for getting drunk at a party and shooting up the place, and he's charged with five counts of attempted murder.  The Bee interviewed Byrd, who is a friend and fellow musician of this kid's.

As I understand it, you have to pay for the Turbo Tax software, then you have to pay for any updates and whatever state you live in (to get the latest tax rules for that state I assume), and if you work in one state and live in another you have to pay for both states. So by the time you end up paying for all of that, you might as well hire an accountant to do it for you. You'll be paying about the same money. A co-worker of mine once paid all the Turbo Tax licensing fees and still had to end up paying an accountant because he couldn't figure it all out. So . . . not so free.

H&R Block and Turbo Tax have free websites to file your taxes online.

We men are taught not to sit with our legs completely closed in order to keep the family jewels from being squashed.  It's considered more masculine for us to leave them open a bit.  It's women who are supposed to sit with their legs closed or tightly crossed in order to avoid revealing any secrets, especially when wearing short skirts or dresses.

I was in an acting class where I did a skit where I had to pretend to sit like a woman, and let me tell you, as a man, that hurts.

Oh great. A profit maximizing corporation is telling me I need to get right with God?

(Adds new entry on Companies to Boycott list.)

A local lawyer here in the Sacramento area runs ads half of the time advertising his services, and half of the time telling us to call his office and they will pray with us.

  5. Geez, NuJade, don't plan your parties right in front of your boyfriend's mother.

Ooh, the Rafe and Austin dick waving got pretty thick there for a while.  :)

This Ciara/Claire/Theo/Joey/Jade living arrangement is going to be interesting. Is that Rafe and Sami's old place? Did we know it had a loft before?  Maybe that's where Will lived.
