S04.E15: Nobody Else Is Dying
harmfulhazards replied to Bort's topic in How To Get Away With Murder [V]
As far as I remember, Sinclair sent him a photo of a girl, whose rape his dad covered up, to blackmail him, Bonnie saw this photo and initially he was cheating before she learned the truth. -
S04.E12: Ask Him about Stella

Not original poster, and I did come across the TGIT campaign long time ago after binge watching the first season and checking if there were more, but in theory quite easily if one watches on Netflix or on the local network in another country. Canada, for example, has different promos and airs HTGAWM and Scandal at different times. -

Wasn't it a blood splatter as if she was standing near to someone who was shot? -
How To Speculate w/o Spoilers: Hiding the Ball

Fair enough. They did this "OMG, is the fan fave dead?" bait so often, that perhaps I stopped buying it. But the only guys that are not in flash forwards yet are Connor and Nate. First is the ultimate fan favorite and Pete's self-admitted wish fulfillment character. No way something permanently bad ever happens to him. The other one is lead's main love interest and with Wes gone their only remaining black guy. He is useless, but killing him is bad for ideological reasons. -
How To Speculate w/o Spoilers: Hiding the Ball

I'm not sure if there are reasons to believe that any of the main characters die. Last season was built about one of them dying from the beginning and was advertised as such, but this one is not. The flashfowards are more about dropping "clues" the writers will desperately try to tie together last minute before shooting the midseason finale, than about revealing "safe" characters, like it happened in the first two seasons. And remember that this season's big mystery is "Where?' instead of "Who killed who?" or "Who's dead?". Minor characters were always cannon fodder of this show, so some of them may die, but not like we will be expected to get too invested. -
My guess is that it is supposed to represent that he is upset with Annalise and wants to quit, but deep down he is so strongly in love that he can't help himself getting drawn to her again and again. Somewhat like what is happening with Bonnie. The only difference is that the writers actually bothered to give Bonnie a personality and history with Annalise that makes her feelings and actions understandable and relationship that is interesting to watch, even if messed up. Nothing we saw about Nate so far really warrants this kind of obsession, making his behavior not complex but inconsistent. If the previous iterations of this storyline are any indication, there should be shocking and totally unexpected plot twist soon enough where he becomes Annalise's boyfriend again with shirtless scenes and all that. Is it bad that at this point I'd rather watch a spinoff about Annalise, Teagan and Michaela running off and opening a law firm together? Couldn't care less about the baby drama.

S04.E03: It's for the Greater Good

I can't say that the episode was bad. Objectively it is probably one of the better ones, but I can't help feeling like the majority of the storylines are falling flat for me. Laurel baby plot is boring both in flashforwards and a present timeline, I couldn't care less about Coliver, Asher and Frank barely do anything, Bonnie after a promising beginning fades into the background again, Nate needs to get a life and leave Annalise alone already. Annalise's plot about trying to be a hero is shaping up to be somewhat interesting even if it will probably backfire horribly as usual. And Michaela finally got a long overdue storyline that is not about having a boyfriend or being Connor's supportive friend. But at this point I'm not sure if it is going to be enough to keep watching. -
S04.E02: I'm Not Her

What conversation was it? I remember the one where Nate said that he hated Annalise and Eve said, that didn't really mean it, and then said that she missed Annalise and has fun with her, but that was it. We are still missing a lot of context in Bonnie's and Annalise's relationship, but from what we do know so far, Bonnie seems to be seriously indebted to Annalise. So her devotion makes some sense. Frank feels guilty about the betrayal and seeks atonement, so it makes sense too. Eve despite her feelings for AK, has always put herself first, had no trouble saying no when she felt it wasn't worth it and eventually moved on, which was a reasonable thing to do. Nate's obsession only makes sense if viewed through the shipper goggles. Which, I believe, is exactly how it is meant to be viewed. -
S04.E02: I'm Not Her

The writers have only one storyline for Nate they keep constantly recycling. For several episodes he goes on about how done he is with Annalise, then he forgets everything and starts playing a doting boyfriend. Than Annalise does something and he is done with her again until he isn't. So far Nate's story looks exactly like the one he had every previous season, and I don't really expect rest of it to be any different. Bonnie's arc looks promising, on the other hand. While I think she will end up being on Annalise's side again before the midseason finale too, being away from Annalise's influence for a while can change their dynamics in interesting way. Maybe they will be able to become more like equals eventually instead of this weird codependent thing they have. Or maybe not. But it is going to be interesting to watch how this plays out. -

An improvement over the last episode. Happy to finally see Annalise back her way to being a badass defense attorney. It will be interesting to see her win cases without relying on Oliver's hacking skills or students conveniently obtaining a crucial piece of information last minute. Still couldn't care less about Laurel's baby, but this development with the blood looks intriguing. Bonnie/Nate Annalise hate-fest is happening too early in the season to be anything other than red herring. And is Frank actually trying to get into law school? -
I don't think that it will be of any significance either. The opportunity of a dramatic scene where Laurel's father learns that she knows is too good to pass up. I was merely pointing out that from that it would be realistic. Not that the show cares about realism.

Technically it is possible. Keylogging software captures every keystroke of the user. Often used in malware for stealing passwords, but some parental control apps claim that they can do it too. Whether it comes up in the show is another question. I believe it was only to let us know that she knows.
-
It is confirmed she's not. At the very least for now. Which is a big wasted opportunity if it is a creative decision and not budget/availability issues.
-
We're certainly not. It is probably an endgame anyway. Doesn't make it any better. If it is Smiths' character, which is indeed likely, it can't lead to anything good, even if we disregard the possibility of him working against Annalise. Too much of repetition of a story with Sam. But it at least will be interesting to watch, so I'm down for it.
-
So far yes, according to Pete. But he can always return. And I'm torn on this one. On the one hand they really need to put that repetitive thing with Nate to rest for good, and for that Annalise needs a new love interest. On the other, that attempted sex scene was quite uncomfortable to watch.

How To Speculate w/o Spoilers: Hiding the Ball

Was it explicitly stated that she didn't? Her name and signature were on Rose's release documents, that's how Wes found out about her involvement. It would have been extremely stupid on her part to use her real name if she was pretending. And so far Eve has been portrayed as someone relatively careful. I have always assumed that she did really work for ICE at the time and just agreed to abuse her authority a little as a favor for Annalise. -

In 2x12 was mentioned that Mahoney founded an investment company called Mahoney Hedge Management, which was under surveillance of FBI for allegedly stealing money from their clients. Other than that I don't remember any information about the exact nature of their business. Usually actors are released from their contracts when their shows are cancelled. Cancellation itself doesn't guarantee availability, that's true, but it at least makes it theoretically possible. I guess we will find out in several months. -

They may not have to, by the way. Blacklist: Redemption is doing horribly in ratings (to be fair, all Thursday 10PM shows look quite sad in this regard now that HTGAWM is on hiatus). They still have five more episodes to air, but so far it looks very likely that it will not have a second season unless some miracle happens. Of course it doesn't necessarily mean Famke will want to return to HTGAWM. And Pete definitely could not have counted on it when he wrote storylines for 3B. I think it is safe to assume that any long term plans, that were made at that time, don't include Eve or any other recurring character other then Castillos and Mahoneys. But, on the other hand, Pete loves to say that he doesn't plan ahead at all, so who knows. -
Last season he forged Philip's police record while sitting under security camera for no good reason at all and seemed to be genuinely surprised when he got caught. There was no hope for him even back then.

Right. I just rewatched that scene. The article about Sam reported missing was from 14 Dec. And the article about remains identified as Sam's was 8 Jan. The remains were discovered on New Year's Eve according to it.
-
I'm not sure about exact dates, but the news about human remains belonging to Sam Keating went public no earlier than January. It happened right after K5 returned to studies after Christmas and New Year break.
-
Wasn't there a flashback of Annalise calling Hannah a couple of episodes ago? That records are weird though. Why would anyone be on the phone with taxi for 9 minutes?
-
According to Annalise's phone records the fire happened on Nov 3. Not sure how much time passed over the recent episodes, but it might still be November.

S03.E11: Not Everything's About Annelise

While TV often disregards the laws of physics, a bottle of vodka capable of blowing up the entire house is something out of science fiction. I'm not even sure that the whole truck of them could do that. It was shown before we saw the explosion, wasn't it? If so, it was definitely a red herring.
