  1. Totally agree. How many of these bouquets etc would a person have lying around the house gathering dust if the sales continue at the rate that the Eco flower lady claims. Or is the idea that you would eventually get bored of them and throw them out , thus defeating the whole purpose? I just don't believe she's sold millions of dollars worth in such a short time. I do see a niche for them for people who are allergic , as a previous poster mentioned, and also for hospitals , where fresh flowers may be prohibited due to the risk of infection for patients in cancer treatment etc. But that's a fairly small number of sales. And they do look like dried flowers, definitely not something that would look nice at a wedding. Barabara should be ashamed of herself for admitting that she spends more money on fresh flowers than most people do on groceries. I guess she's not aware that there are people who can't actually afford groceries, much less flowers. Why not donate the money to charity if you have that much to throw away ? I don't understand the appeal of the babe hats either , but if that many have sold they should be reaching their saturation point soon . The only clothes I saw on their website were godawful shiny baseball jackets from the 80's and those hats . The videos she went on and on about were 20 second long clips of models wearing clothes . They may have been "influencers ", but I didn't recognize any of them . I was expecting full length music videos or something similar .
  2. I hate the way they run the elimination the same night as the competition .Ryan wins the dance off but gets eliminated ?? The eliminated dancer gets no chance to bask in their success . They put all the work into a competition dance ,which for everyone else will be used to determine next week's elimination , but it's wasted effort because they are already off the show. You could have a dancer who redeems themselves with great scores , but it doesn't matter because they are kicked off based on the previous week . As one of the pros said last week, it's not a competition at all, it's just "entertainment" . It's a total joke to watch them when they could already be off the show. On another note , Terra is a great dancer, but why couldn't they have hired a professional partner for her who is also a little person ? It's just not appealing to see Sasha bending over her for the dances , and repeatedly swinging her around because he can't come up with much more to do with her. It seems they don't want to single her out because of her size , but it's more discriminatory to insinuate that the only professional dancers worth appearing on the show are average sized people.
  3. Repeat the following ... over and over again:. Having two kids is a lot more work than one ( and I didn't know this even though I spent my growing up years babysitting a dozen younger siblings)....Central America is really dangerous and you can't drink the water , eat the food or go out after dark ( and even though we were born and raised our entire lives in the U.S. , we are amazed at the variety of food available in the grocery store that we went to on our first date in 10 months )....I didn't expect to get pregnant so soon ...( even though we are at it like bunnies, don't believe in birth control, and are in our most fertile years)...We're having a baby, and it might be a girl ... or a boy ... or maybe twins ( and we're going to subject our viewers to an entire show about the big reveal)...Jinger is engaged now , and will have to plan a wedding ASAP , and she's moving far away , and then she'll probably get pregnant . And even though Jill didn't learn any Spanish in the entire 10 months , her 1 year old baby can't speak English so the babysitters will need a translator. These people are beyond belief ! Also , aren't some of Michelle's kids younger than some of her grandkids ? She's still a mom of young children , but she seems to have moved directly into the grandma role. When she was helping the kids to make homecoming posters she looked and acted like a senile old granny. What the hell is she going to do when all the older girls are married and gone ? Hire a nanny ? And while I think Jana did a nice job organizing the redecorating of the "guest house" , that doesn't really qualify her for a career in interior design . Maybe designing homes for hillbillies, but that's about it . Painting , putting up family pictures and hanging wood from grandma's fence does not an interior designer make . These people are so ignorant that they think any hobby they have can lead to a career without the benefit of higher education , internships, etc.
  4. I thought the swimsuit moms looked great for having had 4 kids each , but they and their sisters/models all had a tall/lean body type which unfortunately most of us who have had one or more babies don't have. If they are going to claim to cater to moms they need to have models with more tyical mom bodies ( ie bigger, saggier boobs, muffin tops etc ... ugh) .
  5. They said that apparently he did show up at her place at night a couple of times and they ended up having sex one of the times , so she lost a bit of credibility there.
  6. I have watched and read a lot about this case over the years, and have gone back and forth as to whether Amanda had anything to do with the murder. The Netflix version did provide a few new bits of information , one being the interview with Raphaele. I really think , after hearing his account, that Rafaele's first version of events , that Amanda spent the whole night with him, was perhaps to provide an alibi for her. After being questioned at length by police , I think he broke down and told the truth , which was that she left his apartment at some point during the evening. He struck me as a naive but ultimately honest person, who was in way over his head when he hooked up with Amanda. The other thing I had not heard before was the taped phone call between Amanda and her friend from Seattle which the police recorded 3 days after the murder . This was the most off putting part of the whole film. Hearing the friend talking about whether Raphaele is " super hot" and " is he , like, your boyfriend? ( giggle, giggle)" , so soon after the horrible crime that Amanda was so closely involved with just seemed wrong. Amanda didn't seem to find this inappropriate at all, and promised to send a picture , and only after that discussion did she redirect the conversation to the fact that she, Amanda, had a bad day , what with the police questioning her etc. The two girls sounded more like 12 year olds than like young women in their twenties. If Amanda has aspergers, then her friend has it too. I think it's more a case of being extremely spoiled , self-involved and immature. As a previous poster said , Amanda's parents probably should not have allowed her to travel to a foreign country alone, knowing her lack of insight or ability to see beyond her own need for immediate gratification. The Netflix film did not shed much light on the facts of the case for me, but it did lower my opinion of Amanda 's character even more. Her talking heads were poorly acted and downright creepy. Hopefully she will fade into oblivion soon, because she is not doing herself any favours by continuing to pursue publicicity.
  7. If it was truly the couples themselves who wanted to enforce" their" standards while dating ( ie side -hugging, no kissing, or God forbid anything more ), then why do they need chaperones ? Do they really lack any self control , to the point that they can't enforce their own standards without someone else watching them ? And if it's about accountability, then I guess there's no trust in the family since they must have a third party present to confirm that nothing untoward has happened. There's something so creepy and unnatural about bringing your younger siblings on dates. It's actually kind of rude too, when you hear the young ones say the dating couple doesn't even speak to them because they're so engrossed in one another. And having your parents in on your texting conversations is beyond weird. Anyway, it seems the standards are pretty relaxed now, judging by the full on frontal hug between Jinger and Jeremey at the Dallas airport, and the fact that they are face timing constantly 24/7 . As little as Michelle seems to do around the house, even she would not have time to monitor all these conversations.
  8. In the Duggars world its sooo cute to see the females being so clueless about sports. They probably can't imagine a world where women are interested , knowledgeable, or worse yet participate in sports ( oh , I forgot, the girls did play some form of hockey, wearing skirts ). It was sad to hear Jessa say that at age 15 she lost all interest in sports . I'm guessing that's because by that age her thoughts had turned to more appropriate pursuits for girls: courting, getting engaged, getting married and birthing umpteen babies. On another topic. why does everything they do have to involve a time crunch and a panic to get things done by a made up deadline? Jana's got to get entire house painted and she's got to get it done before Jill comes back; and Oh my gosh, we must get all the kids to help or we'll never get these bags stuffed with a T shirt and CD in each one; and the only flights available to anywhere require you to get up at 4:30 in the morning. In one scene , Ben is saying they have 5 minutes to leave for the airport, and the next thing we see is the Duggars cooking breakfast to bring in the van. Here's a hint... start planning earlier and you won't constantly be doing everything at the last minute
  9. I am wondering if Azan's family knows that Nicole has a child from another relationship. And if they did, would they still be so enamored of her ? Not to mention the fact that she has already "cheated " on him. It seems that with their strict rules against sleeping in the same room or kissing in public, that Nicole would be seen as tarnished goods ( ie. skanky, disgusting goods) , and not someone they would want their son involved with . They also seem like a close knit family with strong family values, who would probably frown on her leaving her young child a world away without a second thought. I don't have a huge problem with Chantel wanting to party, after all it's "Spring break ". But in what universe does she think she's mature enough to settle down with someone for life, and get married. She's doing what college students do , not what mature , committed adults do. Also, she's supposed to be studying nursing, which is a bit scary since she likes her booze so much ( was she trying to order a mojito with breakfast ?) Anfisa seemed a lot skinnier in those modelling photos. Her butt looked huge in that skin tight outfit she wore to the meeting with Jorge's sister, and her stomach was definitely not as flat . The photos didn't show her face, so I'm wondering if those were even her, or if they were fakes. It's great that she wants to have a career , but does she realize that modelling will only last as long as she is young and in shape. What does she plan to do in the long term ? I felt terrible for Alla. That dinner party where everyone sat around with long faces, looking like they'd rather be anywhere else , was excruciating. Aren't dinners with friends supposed to be fun ? No one appeared to be enjoying themselves. That friend of Matt's was an absolute turd, insulting someone he'd never met, and sitting there with his beer holder while everyone else sipped wine at the dinner table. And why is it that Alla's sister probably can't come to the wedding ? Is Matt not willing to cough up the plane fare and do something that would make his fiancé happy ? Alla needs to get out of that situation ASAP, she does not deserve this jerk.
  10. I too really enjoy the results show. I have not watched this weeks results show yet, but I think an hour would be sufficient, don't need 2 hours . I used to like seeing the guest singers and dancers, as well as the pro dancers and behind the scenes stuff. It just seemed silly and rushed the last season ( seasons?) when couples had to dance and then find out at the end that they were actually eliminated.
  11. I agree that it's strange the kids were so isolated from the parents in their respective bedrooms . 6 year olds often need their parents during the night, especially a child who is known to bed wet. In the police interviews both the parents admitted to taking antidepressants as well as regular daily doses of "adavan" ( I'm not sure if they meant Ativan which is a tranquilizer similar to Valium). How would they hear the kids if they were both sedated ? I could see the children being able to get up during the night to play in the basement , as was mentioned in a previous post , and this resulting in Burke killing his sister. It also makes sense that the parents did not know about it until morning, because if they had been aware earlier I think they would have called 911 to try and save her . They must have seen that she had been dead for awhile and was beyond help, otherwise I don't see them participating in a coverup. There was something strange about the way the family seemed so perfect and put together on the surface, but so chaotic underneath, ie, had tours of people coming through the house at Christmas to see their beautiful place , but the basement was a total disaster . There was food left out all over the kitchen counter, when they were supposed to be leaving at 7 in the morning. Both parents were taking psychiatric medications and the son seems to be seriously disturbed in all of his interviews. For those who don't think parents will cover up a child's crimes at the expense of another one of their children, take a look at the Duggar family ( 19 kids and counting) who covered up for years the fact that their eldest son was sneaking into his sisters bedroom at night and sexually molesting them , only admitting it and sending him to rehab after the story was leaked .
  12. So Joy does not think she will need to learn math, but she wants to be a pilot ?? And she's not going to become an engineer because that's not God's plan ... not because she doesn't have even a high school diploma, much less any chance of going to college since the Duggar girls can either be married off as teenagers and have 19 kids in quick succession, or stay home to be full time slaves . Hearing her say she took the "steering wheel " of the plane, causing it to drop 200 feet because she didn't realize it was " so touchy" and then laugh about it makes me glad she has no hope of ever getting her pilots license. Then there's Jeremy saying there's not enough room on the couch for everyone , or something like that, then proceeding to hog the couch with Jinger while the parents get to sit on hard kitchen chairs. And , no , your crappy little bachelor apartment is not a great place for a young family, since there's no room for the babies that will show up as soon as Jinger gets into that king sized bed with him. Jinger couldn't possibly get a job to help with bills, so Jeremy is expected to work 2 jobs while she sits home and makes pictures with nails. I really hope someone will sit her down and tell her where babies come from and that her fairy tale romance with Jeremy is going to come to a crashing halt about 1 month after the wedding when she has morning sickness .
  13. The 911 operator's testimony was discussed on another program awhile back, I don't recall which one, but I seem to remember that Patsy was heard to say to someone in the background " We're not talking to you". I'm not sure why Dateline kept referring to this evidence , but never said what was heard by the operator. Presumably it was Burke that Patsy was speaking to, which contradicts the parents version of Burke being asleep the whole time. Burke admitted that he was not asleep, only pretending to be or trying to go back to sleep after his mother burst into his room all distraught. The fact that Patsy and John Ramsey would think anyone would believe their son remained sleeping after his mom came yelling into his room throws their credibility out the window. They also made a huge deal out of the fact that Jonbenet did not eat any pineapple, but yet it was found in her stomach contents. Was this because they wanted to stick to their story that they brought the child home from the party asleep, put her into bed , and never saw her again until discovering her missing the next morning ? The whole thing seems like a made up attempt by people who have obtained all their information about kidnappings from Hollywood movies, and have no idea what an actual pedophile or psychopath would do . As if they have tried to throw every cliche they've ever seen together and hoped that something would stick. Unfortunately due to the ineptitude of the police dept, the parents were able to get away with it. I don't think Burke had anything to do with the murder, but the fact that he cowered in his bed rather than getting up and running to his parents for support or to find out what was going on speaks volumes about the level of dysfunction in this supposedly perfect, affluent family.
  14. A few observations/questions... So Jinger can cook spaghetti - ie she can boil water , throw in pasta , and then drain it ? Oh and Jeremy can cook pasta too, and he also likes " Mexican". We keep hearing that Jill and Derrick are in "Central America", but why do they never say what country they're in ? We know its "very dangerous", so apparently all countries in Central America are dangerous for some unknown reason. Who is funding them to stay in Central America where Derrick appears to be living as a beach bum and Jill has women come to visit her at home because she's too afraid to go out, or even leave her door open? Is it the made up church they belong to in Arkansas ( or should I say North America) ? So Ben wants to start a football camp and can't wait until his son is old enough to play ? Has he ever played on a football team ? Since their religion doesn't allow them to high school or college, how is he now an expert on football ?
  15. Aurora was so quick to jump in when Gabriel commented that his Dad has no skill in the surfing department. She said " he has skills in other things", or something... Ya, but what Gabriel was saying is that he has NO skill when it comes to surfing, so why did you need to correct him ? It seems she cannot stand to have anyone say a negative thing about Kody, who she seems to have a crush on.
