  1. What a way to start off the New Year with a warning! So I'll have to walk on eggshells when I post. . Kodi Lee finally sounded good. Ordinarily he would be just another singer. . This version of AGT seems like the outcome has been decided. . That dance group from India didn't impress me like before. . I still don't like Mel B as a judge! . Mel B didn't understand the sand artist's performance? Was she not paying any attention? . I didn't like the fingers dude. His shadow figures looked kind of goofy. . That magician was the best act of the night.
  2. It's a television show with writers, editors, directors and producers! Survivor is not only a tv show it's a reality show. Reality shows are known for creating drama for the viewers. Unless you work for this show, you and the rest of us don't know for sure. I believe only Maryanne (sp) from a couple of seasons ago, never told anyone that she had an idol.
  3. Can anyone be that stupid as to lend an idol to someone and not ask for it back ASAP? That's why I wonder if the producers have some input here. Maybe they tell Austin to not ask for it back so it can create drama. Austin telling Dee about Julie's name being on the chopping block could be another producer's hand in this. You never, never, never, ever, ever tell anyone you have an idol and triple the never's and ever's hand someone your idol. That's just common sense! I was leaning Katurah until her backstory "came out". I was an Emily fan. Now I will be pulling for Jake. Julie should be on everyone's radar, even Dee's.
  4. I was disappointed to see Anna Leigh and her dad eliminated. I liked the feistiness of AL. As a team, they never gave up. So, which team am I rooting for? Rob/Corey - Not a fan. They just come off as goody two shoes type of people. Every thing seems to fall right on their lap. Greg/John - They seem arrogant. They seem to have done everything you can think of. They speak every language (so it seems). If you asked them if the have ever worked for the "Dole factory for major maggots" they would probably say "We've dabbled in it a bit" Ugh! Joel/Garrett - I'll be cheering this guys on! They seem down to earth. The type you want to have a few beers with. The one with the beard reminds of a good buddy of mine from high school many moons ago. Same sense of humor! Plus, they are the clear underdog of the three.
  5. Of all the Bon Jovi songs and they pick one that in my opinion isn't one of their signature songs. I guess Sabastian Bach had other engagements on his schedule. Macy Gray or not, no way was Sea Queen better than Bach in the head to head. I didn't get to post anything last week, but I didn't think that MS had kept the "ding dong bell". I hope they scrap that bell for next season and beyond! The Mask Singer is a fun show but the over dramatic reactions from the audience is annoying. The comments from the judges have my eyes rolling many times. I just think this show can be so much better if the show took things seriously. Ken Jung Jing or whatever his name is hopefully will be replaced soon!
  6. The best part of this episode was Anna Leigh.................oh, um, and her dad of course being saved! The second best part of this episode was Anna Leigh being saved! 😁
  7. Yeah, I hope we get to watch a great finale with jurors asking hardline questions instead of what we have gotten in the past few seasons. In fact, I hope Jeff goes back to the format where each juror stands up and has to ask questions to each finalist.
  8. We are talking about different issues. I'm talking about the contestants telling the drivers to hurry up. Again, this isn't a movie set! The driver getting lost is an entirely different story. I could see why contestants would get upset.
  9. I hate it when the contestants ask the driver to drive faster. The show is not in a controlled environment. This isn't a movie set with a bunch of actors and stunt people. The contestants are asking the driver to put themselves and the contestants in a more dangerous situation.
  10. I think they did away with the "Ding Dong Bell save" this season! Which is a great thing! I hated that save feature.
  11. I like that teams have to vote to u-turn a team. In previous seasons it was getting irritating when a u-turn was coming and teams played nice and didn't u-turn anyone. The drama would build up and then a huge let down. I agree, the father and daughter team probably will be u-turned.
  12. Love Anna Leigh! I hope they win TAR! Even though AL and her dad have a great chance of being u-turned I till like that fact that teams must make a choice and not wimp out. I also like that no one will know who voted for whom. Glad that that team was eliminated. If AL and her dad don't win, my second choice are the sisters. I still don't like that teams tell the taxi drivers to hurry up. Very irritating!
  13. So this episode was a continuation of last week huh? Liam and Yeremi said they didn't get but 2 hours of sleep. So, they did rest after last week. Plus, they departed to their first challenge at 9:35 AM! I guess I'm the only one but I like Anna Leigh! Although I didn't agree about Chelsea helping her. I wouldn't help no one! I was glad that Jocelyn and Victor were eliminated. I liked Jocelyn but Victor seemed a little arrogant at times. I hope Joe and Ian are eliminated next week.
  14. Yeah, I think we were duped! Phil made it seem that there won't be any non-elimination rounds but really this one is. They just made it the same round. Not good for the viewers in my opinion. One thing that drives me nuts is the contestants ordering the drivers of a car or boat to go faster! It may look hectic but I'm sure there are still traffic laws in Vietnam.
  15. What I liked about the first episode of Survivor was there was no indication of any racial narratives or racial groups being formed unlike S41 and S42. I think S43 started fresh and so far I like the direction it's going. If only Jeff Probst could say..."Come on in guys" one more time. I don't know if everything we see on this show is genuine or not, but I hope that girl who quit wasn't planned or scripted. If it wasn't, then I hope the showrunners find a way to prevent another contestant quit. It screws it up for the other contestants and it certainly not good for tv.
  16. Wow. What a disappointment. Somehow I feel people wanted to throw a wrench into this whole thing and screw it up for everyone else. A dog act that should not have made it passed the audition stage. But here they are, winning AGT. That's what happens when you have the viewers voting. They aren't voting who they think is the best, because it doesn't take but one brain cell to figure out that there were other more talented acts! Murmuration and Avantgardey are better than the dog act. Rumors of the show being rigged are always surfacing and I always brush them off. Maybe there is some truth to them. I don't know if I'm going to watch AGT: Fantasy League especially with MelB who I just can't seem to understand when she speaks. I was so glad and happy when she left the show.
  17. Finally, tonight is the AGT finale and you know what? I'm not that excited at all. How can I be excited when Putri or Lavender are probably going to win? Not because they were the best acts yesterday, but because of obvious reasons. I'll probably watch Survivor and The Amazing Race and then AGT and ff all the crap and get to the nitty gritty. I'm rating them from worst to best... . Ahren Ariani - I think it's great that he is up there doing what he loves, but the performance is too slow and I am aware it's due to his disabilities. but I gotta call 'em like I see 'em! . Adrian Dog - I thought it was silly and corny. The dog might be cute but I would not spend money to see them! . 82nd AB - There was a touring performance ensemble made up of active duty members of the Air Force called Tops In Blue that used to perform in my city every spring. They danced, sang and played instruments. They were great and the 82nd AB reminds me of them. They would be a success if they followed Air Force brethren. . Youth Choir - There vocals are so clean and smooth. They sound great and would be a good addition to any show as a guest performer not the headliner. . Chibi Unity - I liked their previous performances better. I found myself wondering away as they performed. They were good but they started to resemble a JADT (Just Another Dance Troupe) . Putri - This young girl does have a good voice but she is a little shouty at times. She will probably win this thing. . Ramadliani Bros. - They were good and maybe when they add something else that doesn't require standing on each others heads, they will be a headliner act. . Lavender - I think she is the better of the to remaining singers but at this point in the competition they have to wow me and Lavender or Putri don't do the trick. Oh by the way, Lavender will probably be the runner-up. . Anna DeGuzman - I think she's gorgeous and a great magician. I was pissed that Sophia didn't shuffle her cards and ended up with the Q of Spades. Was she trying to sabotage Anna's magic trick? I wouldn't be disappointed if Anna won this thing! . Mumuration - They were great once again. They are certainly one of the acts that can win first place. . Avantgardey - SPECTACULAR!! They were awsome! The best of the night! I think they should win AGT hands down! Sure they are a dance group but they are unique from the other dance groups.
  18. Short and Sweet Eduardo Antonio - As a Mexican American I will be rooting for him to go through and to have a successful career, but I think he will be "home" in time to eat some homemade carne guisada tacos! Grace Good - I actually liked her performance at first but when she dropped her baton I suddenly woke up and realized I really don't care for these acts. Lachune - I was bored and I didn't realize it was a Tina Turner song until the end. But, she will probably go through because....... Eseniia - Cute but NO! Mandy Muden - Slow and a mess! Well, when she goes home tonight she can figure out what she wants to be a comedian or a lousy magician. Avantgardey - Awsome!! The best of the night. They should go through easily. Trailer Flowers - They were awful! Ramadanhi Brothers - It was good and dangerous but I don't think I could see a whole show of this. Gabriel Enrique - I though he was shouty. His impression of Minnie Riperton might sway some votes his way. He didn't have my vote. Sangsoon Kim - He'll be home soon to work on his routine. 82nd Airborne Chorus - The good news...I think everyone appreciates them for their service. Now, the not so good news...They are at best a very good military talent show act that I've seen come through my city. Lachune and Gabriel are going through even though Avantgardey was light years better than either of the singers. If either Lachune or Gabriel don't go through, one of them will get at least a "wild card" spot.
  19. I don't really feel like typing a long drawn out review so I'll just cut to the chase. Chibi Unity is going through Anna DeGuzman and Roland Abante I think will be in the final three. I think Chibi Unity and Anna DeGuzman go through.
  20. I think I know why AGT producers have never asked me to be one of the judges. I would be brutally honest with my critiques and of course that's just not the way they do things. If honesty is my thing, well then here it goes.... . Warrior Squad - I liked them but somewhere in the middle of their performance, my mind wondered a bit and wished they would cut their act short. . Trigg Watson - I love magic acts, but this one seemed like he made a mistake and had a "Plan B" just in case. I'm with Simon on this one. What was going on out there? . Summer Rios - She has a good voice but something was missing or strange about this act. Maybe it was her unattractive facial expressions. Maybe the song? . The Parent Jam - Howie buzzed them tonight. He should've buzzed them in their audition. This was an entertaining high school talent show performance. One of the parents said they have already broken borders. Translation: They know they have no chance of winning! . Philip Bowen - I didn't like it. I thought I knew the song but then it turned into a lot of noise. At least he lost 50 lbs.! Good for him. . Mzansi Choir - They're riding on that Songbird tribute. They are not a million dollar act and I would not pay to see them. . Justin Jackson - I couldn't do what he does. He is talented, but all that tapping would make my head hurt. A big NO! . MOS - I liked them a lot! They are unique. Here are four young women playing brass instruments and dancing and doing a pretty good job. I don't know if I wold pay to see them, but I would be very entertained! . Barry Brewer Jr. - I didn't like his audition because he brought in race a bit. Tonight I thought was better and I actually "giggled". . Herran Legaillrd - Nah man. I was bored. There are too many of these acts that seem to go nowhere. . Putri Ariani - It's funny when people start oooing and awwing and clapping whenever a singer sings a big note or is starting to get there. They did just that with Putri. It's like no matter if she makes a mistake, the audience will applaud her. Let's be honest here, she is talented but the sympathy vote is getting her to the finals. First Five - Warrior Squad, Mzansi Choir, MOS, Barry Brewer, Putri Ariani Top Three - Mzansi Choir, Barry Brewer, Putri Ariani Two moving to the Finals - Mzansi Choir and Putri Ariani.
  21. This morning I started to type my take on last night's performances, but something more important came up. Then another thing and another and....you get my point. This season just hasn't been the best. Not by a long shot. Murmuration is the only performance that I liked. The comedian, the two kid performers, the three pretty girls, the drumline and all the rest were either boring, not funny or just plain lousy like that mom dancer. Murmuration is the best act of the season. There is no way they can lose out right? Well, then they showed next week 11 performers and I turned to my wife and said "oh! oh!" That blind Indonesian girl is probably this season's "Kodi Lee" and will probably take home the million.
  22. I was going to list all the performances and give my critiques, but I just didn't feel like going to the trouble. This season has been just a huge "BLAH" for me. There isn't any act that I think is a sure winner. So I'm just going to name a few acts that caught my eye whether they were good or bad. Dance troupe from Japan - They were just ok. No where near the excitement and precision of The Mayyas. Not GB material in my opinion. The Mariachi singer - I'll be rooting for him because he is from my home state, but I wouldn't pay to see him sing. Aerial acts and dog acts are "dead end acts" to me. There really isn't anything else to add that hasn't been done or attempted before to these type of acts. Boring! The male dancer - I was telling my wife that I don't like this type of dancing because I don't get it! I don't understand why people were tearing up. Another snoozer! The Improv group - I kind of liked them but like Howie asked, what are they going to do next time? Did I hear that next week will be the absolute last auditions or just a rehash of past auditions. Whatever the case, I'll be in Las Vegas for a week of fun! See everyone later!
  23. I'll start with the two best of the night in my opinion.... * Family Singers - They were great. They sounded great together like they've been doing this a long time. I thought they deserved the golden buzzer but of course they don't have enough boxes to check. * Trailer Flowers - Shut up Simon! That's what I shouted when he held up his hand for them to stop. I actually wanted to hear the first song! I can't complain too much since I liked the second one also. They sounded greatand I hope they make it far in AGT. * The dog act - Obviously, the dog knew what to do whenever the owner sat on the couch or picked up the remote, hat or whatever else. It was the same as instructing the dog verbally. When you weed out all the fluff and the "awe's!", you just have a stinking dog act. Nothing special. * Chinese dude balancing act - Nothing special here. Move along! * The self taught dancer - X X X X * British magician - Ok. I'm sure he'll get better with age and practice. * Michael Myers' - I enjoyed them better than the dancing mom and they were better than her. * Sit down comedian - He rubbed me the wrong way for sure! I didn't like the race jokes and I don't think there is a place for it on AGT. Because if circumstances were reversed, there wouldn't have been applause. I also felt he made fun of the way a certain race prays. Get him outa here!! * Tap dancer - Next. * Color Changing magician - He was pretty good. Something different. * Big lady singer - She had a good voice but I'm glad no one pressed he golden buzzer. This season continues to be a very strange season. The judges seem to be putting through some questionable acts. I can see my trashcan in plain view. I'll try very hard to keep AGT from being thrown in.
  24. I read online that the person at the end of FTWD's episode was a dude that Madison had supposedly killed with a hammer back in an earlier season. There was Madison's hammer, Vistor's sunglasses and Alicia's prosthetic arm. I saw what appeared to be a female with blonde hair, so it will be interesting to find out this potential villain.
