Will's passport had a hole through it. When you send in your old passport for a new one, it gets returned with the hole punched in.

I have never heard it called just a water heater. Here in NJ I have only heard it called a hot water heater.

Exactly. I do not understand why anyone is bothered by what they spend. If they can afford it, good for them.

But then you have the stupid American (me) who has been to Holland dozens of times and my husband still has to grab me out of the way when we are walking. He has threatened to make me wear a helmet when we are out.

Perfectly normal in Holland for the kids to bike to school. My nephews rode their bikes to school at 5 years old. This was in the countryside but it still freaked me out.

Small sinks in the kitchen are not the norm in Holland, just in the "toilet rooms". One thing I will call them out on is that they had just moved there. The few times I heard the wife speaking Dutch she has an almost perfect accent. I still mangle it after being married to a Dutchie for 36 years.

This was not a new episode. I remember seeing it quite a long time ago. Knew as soon as she walked into the first house that was the one she picked.

Utrecht has a lot of these homes down on the canals but most are restaurants and stores. It is very unique, even for Holland. I've been all over Holland since my husband is from there and Utrecht is one of my favorite cities.

I thought she said she was an assistant principal.

My DVR said new with a completely different story line than the first. Turned out to be the same one.

Doesn't matter. My husband was born and raised there. 100% Dutch.

The Utrecht wife was full of it with just moving there. In order for Holland to allow duel citizenship, you must have had a home in the Netherlands for at least 3 years that you lived in. I know because my husband is Dutch and can't get duel citizenship. The US will allow it, Holland will not.

This episode made crazy. My DH is from Holland and we are over there every year or two. This couple wanted to live in Groningen and the realtor took them to see one house in Haarlem. That is at least 2 hours from Groningen! I know the show is fake as far as picking a house but they could at least pretend to show them homes in towns close to each other.
