  1. Well hell, that would make Gaby a real bitch. What business of her is it whether a guy is out to his boss or not?
  2. That would be interesting, to see who would be interested in Laszlo, and viceversa. I remember what the dominatrix said, that he would feel attracted to someone who didn´t care about his intelligence, which was exactly like Mary, not impressed with "DOCTOR" Kreizler and his work, and the opposite of Sara. WRT John and Sara, I don´t feel romantic tension yet. There is a mutual affection from knowing each other for so long, and from his side an admiration of the woman she´s become. But I feel this adventure has changed the perception they might have had of one another. John was remorseful about not helping Joseph as much as he could. He could improve himself, not just to please her, but as a real desire to do better, and then, who knows? She could be impressed with him, real feelings could develop. I'm just glad they didn´t force it on this season, it would have been ridiculous.
  3. Well Cruz is on Squad now, so he wouldn´t be driving Truck 81, and well, neither Hermann nor Mouch ever cared about driving the truck before, I guess that went to Stella. And I don´t want to speak ill of the, well, ill, but I got a bit annoyed at Otis, by calling Cordova a jerk for just "standing there" (??) and also, before that, when he´s about to get an MRI, he´s more concern that his girlfriend is going to leave him rather than the actual results. DUDE learn to love yourself first! Self-deprecation is endearing up to a certain point.
  4. It was so unprofessional, particularly Hermann, who's definitely not a newbie, to behave that way. As soon as a floater sits too comfortably on a chair, they start treating them like it´s new guy´s fault someone else is injured/suspended. Although, Cordova's comment in the locker room about how Otis didn´t look like he would make it back anytime soon where out of place too. I also thought is was unprofessional of Kelly to blow off Grissom´s dinner, which was work related, to go drink milkshakes with Stella. I know Kelly doesn´t want what Grissom´s offering, but he accepted only to be a no show, without even calling? Not cool. And I didn´t care for Stella´s advice either: "Maybe that´s not such a bad thing?" What, to look like a disrespectful child? Sure. And lastly, I´m not sure why Gabriella needs to tell Casey about Cordova, if it was an affair. I mean, I understand why she would WANT him to know, but I don't think he HAS to know. Even though sometimes couples do tell each other about former lovers, etc, now it´s not just about her, but she would be outing a guy to her husband who also happens to be the guy's current boss. Unless the secret is something else entirely.
  5. I don´t know if the term "middle class" as we use it today would have applied by then. They are professionals, they have studied, white-collar workers perhaps? I think it was a time were paradigms were changing. The other three are upper class I feel. They went to Harvard and Vassar, but, well I don't know how much Kreizler is making with his institute, but Sara and John are clearly not depending on their salary for their expenses.
  6. I had forgotten about John's brief encounter with Astor. I wonder what was the point of that scene. John seemed to finally be over his fiancee leaving him for Astor. At least he said so to Kreizler on that train ride. Was that scene supposed to be confirmation? Was it necessary? Or was it meant to be something else?
  7. Yes. I was wondering how he could have known who they were, and I remembered in the third episode, there´s a new body found in the old immigration station, up on the roof, and while they all chat and take pics and examine the body, we can see the killer hiding in the dark, right bellow them, listening on. That's how he probably got all their names.
  8. I too, like someone up thread, binge-watched the show during the weekend. Couldn´t turn it off. As a Ripper Street fan, this was right up my alley. I'm actually ok with Dr. Kreizler not getting his answer. I'm not sure there is an answer that would satisfy him. He examined the brain afterwards, still looking for an explanation, a physiological indicator to help understand what would make a man do something like that. But sometimes there just isn´t. Dakota Fanning surprised me in that scene with the doctor. The character had seemed so reserved and collected at the beginning, it was nice to see her loosen up with John, and share her secret with the doctor. Also, kudos to Sara for being the ONLY person who thought to bring a weapon in the event of a confrontation with a very violent and strong multi-killer. Although we don´t know that she hasn´t been carrying that little thing around all the time, but still, no excuse for John and specially the doctor, who knew they were going to meet the killer with no police around. About Connor´s medal, I thought it was pretty smart of Roosevelt. For one thing, it was an "elegant" explanation as to how he died. There were no witnesses to the worst threats he had made against Sara or to kill all 3 of them, and the claims of harassment in front of other officers wouldn´t have helped: they had all celebrated it. They even covered for him when he killed Mary. But by making him a hero, not only is Sara left alone, but also Roosevelt is somehow ingratiating himself with those in the force who respected Connor, and neutralizing the former chief, who could have rallied those policemen against Roosevelt if Connor´ sins had been made public. Also glad Joseph made it (that was close), and though it would have been unrealistic if Sara and John had ended up engaged, I think that window is still open. I'm really hoping for a second season. There were a few times Ripper Street seemed to be stuck but we had 5 seasons and a, well I wouldn't call it happy ending, but a resolution.
  9. It was a jab meant for John, I think. She was in a society feature, and they must have described her in the way she says: "And how should I help do that? With my "especially rosy mouth" or my "sparkling blue eyes"?", and John apologizes, claiming he only did the illustrations.
  10. Is the Chicago PD Bomb Squad out on vacation or something? Does the whole firehouse have to be in on the paramedics' undercover mission before it goes down? Is it really smart to tackle down someone who's wearing an explosive vest?y Are Stella and Kelly gonna get sexy together anytime soon or keep on being 2 girlfriends for much longer?
  11. I don't know why I was under the impression Kelly's mom was dead. Some of the character's personal background is a blur to me, specially the parts that are off screen. He has been able to say no lately to Stella. I wonder why, since they were having a fling a while back. I did feel bad for her for the kiss incident. If the authors are not planning on getting them back together then I wish they hadn't done it.
  12. "It was foggy. We thought we hit a deer. We couldn't find anything". That is not a valid excuse at all. You think you hit something but cant find it, call 911. It was a total hit and run, both should be charged, not to mention, stealing a car. I'm not even going to go in deep with the kidnapping story line. So dad signs a few papers and that's it? Just because the girl knew all about it and wanted to stay with them doesn't undo the crime. Perhaps if they had approach bio dad while he was in jail right after the mother had died, and work out an agreement with him directly to make them the girl's guardians, they wouldn't have had to spend all their lives lying and looking over their shoulders.
  13. Benson and Barba patting each other on the shoulder on how the company would be declaring bankruptcy by the end of the week was gross, those are people's jobs going down, but it wouldn't be the first time they screw over the little people for the sake of their agenda. Also, I love Finn to death but did he really say "Liv's been trhough hell" to a man who buried his son? Shut up Finn.
  14. Did I miss the part where it was made obvious what was Rick's ulterior plan that required him sweating it up in the garbage village prison, or did he just get caught stupidly?
  15. ENOUGH with The King's Speech, just get over it Ezekiel.
  16. I don´t understand: in the middle of the war it is a good idea for Carl to go recruiting?
  17. Why is Gregory still alive? There's been more compelling characters that have died over less.
  18. Bitch you making deals with Negan but Rick "talks too much".
  19. Why isn't Rick setting fire to the piles of garbage? they already betrayed you once.
  20. Oh god the dick and balls talk is back.
  21. Another masturbatory reference and I'm out.
