I commuted from Philly to NYC by Amtrak everyday for about 6 months. Then walked from the station in NYC to the job. When I got back to Philly I was almost insane. I still had to take the trolley home, or get a cab. One day the guy driving the cab I was in pulled a gun on another cabbie. Personally, I was ready to grab the gun and use it on myself. I was glad when the project ended. I thought they were going to ask me to move to NY, which I didn't want to do. Instead they threw a lot of money at me (I was practicing law at the time) and told me good bye and good luck in Philly. : )

It's nice to exercise and have some movement, but you can't out run your mouth. I am always heartened by the diet programs used for heart patients and others who cannot exercise - and yet these folks still lose weight. It's your mouth, not your back.

Yeah - I think the peeler I used tonight is a 'potato peeler.' To me, it's just an equal opportunity peeler. I didn't know I wasn't supposed to use it on cukes. Aliya jr hates the word 'cukes.' He hates 'veg,' 'couscous' (i'm supposed to say just 'cous') and assorted other words that no one else pays any mind. He's a special boy.

Chad worked at Enterprise car rental, then went back to truck driving. There was one guy who was an accountant and I think had a small farm on the side, and another guy who worked in his father's appliance store and was able to really work and not just have the kind of job Mafia guys in Jersey get on construction sites. There were some others.

She's so bad, I actually went downstairs, opened up some walmart.com boxes, put the stuff away, made my lunch, cleaned the kitchen from dinner (why are tacos so messy?), and started the dishwasher. I'm curious to see what happens to her, but gawd, if she doesn't put you to sleep. Smack her first, then sleep.

This is why you practice self control. It is not the time for her to get pregnant, not only because of the surgery and her continuing weight loss, but from her response, she doesn't even know if the father will be involved. She was obviously ashamed by the whole situation. They baby needs a family. She needs support, both in terms of the pregnancy and the baby afterwards. I understand wanting a baby and a family. I understand wanting to date and getting carried away. But good grief, if you aren't able to handle the repercussions, don't have sex, or at the very least, use protection. Great - now they're talking about moving back to Washington. So much for father's rights.
