  1. Lol to the bolded part. I Give a $20 bill to each of my cousins’ kids on their birthdays and Christmas. To make it seem more personal I tell them how much trouble it was to find just that particular bill, and read off the serial number. :-)
  2. Shouldn’t Ramona be in this group?
  3. I think the term you’re looking for is “Machiavellic.”
  4. There’s not much in life that gets me as excited as a (or is it an?) @ZaldamoWilder post. If we’ve been knocked off the rails by your post, then I say we never should have been on the rails in the first place.
  5. I heard, “you’re drunk” the first time I saw it, but assumed I must have been wrong because the cc read, “you’re a drunk.” I assumed I heard it wrong. I believe Bethenny.
  6. Thank you for posting this. I actually think Carol looks absolutely beautiful in this video. I have always been strangely partial to overbites, though. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder.
  7. The incorrect use of “so-and-so and I” in a predicate bugs me, too. But in this case, “Scott and I” is correct. Here’s an explanation: https://www.quickanddirtytips.com/education/grammar/it-is-i-versus-it-is-me?page=all
  8. Ha ha! Good thing it’s in Beverly Hills, where none of them eat much anyway. Well, Jel says it was just spelled the French way, which is the same singular or plural, but I like KFB’s idea of only one hors d'oeuvre for them all to share. :-)
  9. This might be TMI for some of you, so skip ahead if menstruation makes you squeamish, but this PSA might be helpful for some. I used to get CRAZY heavy periods, and I would wear Depends Silhouette (tm) panties—the ones Lisa Rinna was paid six figures to advertise. They’re advertised for incontinence, but they actually do a spectacular job of keeping sheets and pajamas spotless if you’re bleeding heavily. They probably weighed a pound or two in the morning. They were better than the CVS knockoffs, too. Too bad Rinna wasn’t at the beach house—she could have helped out Erika and negotiated a little bonus from Depends (tm)!
  10. Hey, ZW! I love all your posts, but this part really impressed me. I have officially changed my mind about who the aggressor was in that altercation. Please let me know if you ever put up a Go-Fund-Me to pay for law school.
  11. Wow! What an perceptive recap! And you're spot-on in your summary of Rachel's good qualities. The bolded part made me laugh so loud I scared my cat. ?Thank you for this.
  12. Ha ha! I loved this post, and I have to tell you that I did a genuine, Bethenny-approved lol when I read the bolded part.
  13. Wow! I was surprised to see this. It almost seems like a giveaway that he was the winner. If he's not the winner I'm glad to see it because I thought Eric seemed like he might be really upset if he didn't win, and this seems to indicate that he was able to see the positive aspects of his experience.
  14. This cracked me up! I was thinking maybe he got hit with a helicopter blade.
  15. Ha, that's what I thought! I had been loving Peter, and then Dean started to win me over, but when Rachel talked about loving to clean...be still my heart. Lol.
  16. Shouldn't the title of this thread be "S13.E02 Week 2"? If so, does anyone know how to change it? I'm really enjoying this season and loving Rachel as the bachelorette. I haven't watched regularly since Emily's season, I believe. I think all the guys are pretty good looking. Whenever people say how they don't think the guys are attractive, I just wonder where they live and what the guys look like there. Maybe I should consider moving to the land where these guys are considered ugly!
  17. This might have been answered previously, but the intrusive r separates two vowel sounds. Similarly we use "an" rather than "a" before a vowel. The intrusive r is also common in British English.
  18. Is it spelled "Almanzo"? Hee hee.
  19. Yeah, those tweets were disrespectful to Melanie Trump, even in the context of defending mean and racist things said about Michelle Obama and the irony of Melania's anti bullying platform. But I think people can be disrespectful at some times and compassionate at others. YMMV
  20. I couldn't find a tweet by anyone with that hashtag. I don't follow Carol on Twitter, I just know her from the show.
  21. I'm not sure how reliable Bethenney's description of Carol's reaction was, since we saw her out with Ramona the next day, but a lot of privileged people were upset because of what they feared would happen to other much more vulnerable people. I don't see it as being symptomatic of Carol's rich white sensibilities; I think it shows her compassion. I didn't take the Georgia comment as being sneering, just that it was expected. I guess we can't help but see everything through our own filters. I had to brace myself to watch the election again via this show, but it wasn't so bad. I was really touched by Carol's speech that she read to her mother.
  22. Ha ha! Did you leave out Carol on purpose?
  23. That's too much goodness for one post. You're spoiling us! Maybe you should dole out this awesomeness over a couple of days. It's like eating a whole pound of See's candy in one sitting. :-)
