I was too distracted looking to see if Sarper's hair was leaving a grease stain on that new headboard. -

Don't mind if I do! I've tried maple whiskey before: AH-mazing! 😀 -

Sounds like it. I just Googled Tetraomas and the images are terrifying and fascinating! The human body is so freaking weird! Do you guys know the YouTuber Mama Doctor Jones? She's an OB/GYN. The thing with the cysts and also Jasmine's hymen surgery really make me wish she would do a video on these episodes. It would be really interesting to hear her take on things. Lastly, hello everyone! I'm a long time lurker coming out of the shadows to make this comment. I really enjoy following the conversation. Hope everyone has a great night! -
Hello! Still somewhat new Amazing Race fan here. I started watching with Season 33. Have only seen 33 & 34, I went back and tried watching 32 and HATED it, I couldn't even finish it. Anyways, I thought this was a fun first episode. For some reason the opening music always gets me a little choked up. Maybe some of you could relate? I guess because it makes me think about how amazing (see what I did there?) going on a grand adventure around the world would be. I didn't care for the answer sharing at the word scramble puzzle. I hope there isn't a lot of that this season, and alliances or mean spirited U-Turns. Maybe because of the order I've watched the show in, but I just don't really find those aspects that enjoyable. I don't have one team I'm really rooting for quite yet, and I thought most teams seem pretty likable so far. Some that stood out to me were the red team (the deaf father and his son). I'll be interested in seeing how they navigate tasks when they can't quite communicate the same way as others. Also, the woman who lost her husband to leukemia, and then shortly after overcame freaking brain cancer! Jeez what an inspirational story! I hope she does well also. And the beard and moustache dude friends. There's something endearing about older dude buddy teams that are probably slower than everyone else. I was kind of sad the brother sister team was eliminated, they were such a dorky awkward team and would have been entertaining to see more of. Looking forward to seeing how the season goes!

Not sure if this is the correct thread for this. Sorry if should be somewhere else. I just came across this article about, well, us, and thought it was interesting. (Almost. I don't believe it calls out this forum specifically. Is way past my bedtime & have only skimmed it so far.) https://www.vice.com/en_us/article/mb4yka/inside-the-weird-online-world-of-people-who-love-to-hate-the-duggars

"I love it!" isn't anywhere close to how I would describe living in an RV with a spouse + newborn...

Coming out of lurking to say I'm hungry for brownies now.... I had an Irish wedding (Mr. Booey is Irish), and all the groomsmen plus Mr. Booey wore kilts in their own clan/county tartans. So since we already had all those colors going on, I told my bridesmaids to just wear a black dress of their choosing. Only restriction was knee-length or longer, and no boobs hanging out. Then I got them all sashes to wear in the tartan that I had as an accent on my wedding dress, to tie it all together. I figured that was easiest since black dresses are pretty universal and can always be worn again, and some might have even already had one. Plus I had my own dress to worry about. I had a very specific vision- think, Maid Marian in the wedding scene at the end of Robin Hood Prince of Thieves- and a friend (NOT Jana!) was sewing it for me. We went to Jo Ann Fabrics, picked out the pattern and materials, and spent maybe $100 total (we had some killer coupons). The dress came out beautiful, and the whole wedding party all together made for some wonderful photos. So I won't entirely knock the Duggars for going the homemade dress route, I am all for that option and am so happy that's what I did for my wedding dress. You can get exactly what you want that way, and most times spend a lot less. However, I had a long engagement and my friend had almost a year and a half to make just one dress, versus CinderJana&Anna churning out a dozen or however many in a few months....

My first thought on the half birthday thing was, can a Dugger even do "math" to figure out when that is? But then I remembered they can manage to track period cycles and due dates, so maybe they can. For these boutique ultrasound places, and apologies if this has been answered before and I missed it, are they only for determining the sex and getting pictures? Are they allowed/able to make any diagnoses on any kind of abnormalities? If they see something is potentially wrong, are they obligated to give the woman a referral to a real doctor? Just seems like something that I would have expected to be a little more well regulated than it seems to be.

That's the one! I think it's the hairline and facial hair. So creepy... -

Josiah REALLY looks like Josh in several of these pictures. I don't know how to insert a picture into this post, but #11 in particular on the slideshow made me do a double take. -

I saw the post that the Josiah and [insert name here] poll is working again and the new topic will be up soon. Looks like I might lose the bet I had going with myself that they would break up before it was fixed and we wouldn't need to bother with the new thread anymore. -
Yeow! Jill's got some LEGS! Did the blur-out person from the wedding pedicure scene have the day off?

When the show came back after the Joshley scandal, didn't it barely have any actual commercials? I seem to recall it mentioned that it was mostly commercials for other TLC shows but I don't remember. (Counting On happened after I cut the cable cord & Sling doesn't have TLC, so I rely on you all for the run downs.) Anyways, I was thinking, with less ad revenue, would it be at all possible that maybe they weren't paying for some people's appearances? But then again, I would assume, if they really weren't paying for Derrick, they would atleast be paying Jill... But I don't doubt everything went directly to the First National Bank of Jim Bob. Derrick NEEDS to write this book. It would be an instant best seller, and think of the publicity tour $$$$ it could rake in! Every news/talk show would be falling over each other to have him on. It could give him a bigger mouthpiece than Counting On could have given him.

Thanks! Sorry about that, I didn't scroll down far enough and didn't see the topic, my bad! I agree, it's a bad omen. -

According to Derrick, they don't work for TLC, they VOLUNTEER for TLC. Also, is anyone else getting a 502 Bad Gateway error on the Josiah topic name poll? The thread opens fine when I'm not logged in, but after I login and then try to open it, I get that error message. It's been a few weeks since I've been able to spend time here, so not sure if there's something I'm doing wrong I don't know about.
