  1. I've been on the fence about Season 3 and if I'm honest, the finale was just ok. I was resigned to Nate so his story was ok but still wondering why we had to have Jade. Beard and Jane was also a plot I never liked. I thought the musical number was too corny and cheesy and definitely did not make me cry. I would have preferred to have Ted stay in the UK and bring Henry there to live but Jason Sudeikis is done so Ted had to go back to Kansas. I think the whole season suffered from lack of Bill Lawrence, Brett Goldstein's new stake in "Shrinking", and possible drama from Sudeikis/Wilde breakup. It just didn't seem to have the same heart. Too many scenarios took place off-screen: Roy/Keeley breakup, Nate quitting West Ham, team vote to get Nate back, and Ted telling Rebecca he's leaving. After reading what I just wrote, I think I was just underwhelmed by this season and the finale was not enough to right the ship.
  2. With the season finale coming up, I just want to get a few things out. I'll miss Rebecca, Keeley, Roy, Jamie, Sam, and Higgins. I surprisingly am not very invested in Ted's outcome. I initially liked his character a lot but agree with others here that he would not curse his mother out like he did in "Mom City". Really wish they hadn't wasted time with Zava and Jack. There had to have been better ways to advance the story. I really can't stand Nate and his entire storyline. Jade is a non-entity imo. I don't think she's funny at all. I don't think everyone deserves a second chance, especially if you've done NOTHING. Nate replacing the Ted figure on the board, looking regretful about NOT shaking Ted's hand and also NOT apologizing to Ted in the elevator is just not enough at all. I have no idea why he quit coaching West Ham so that doesn't count as showing "growth". Overall, I've enjoyed Ted Lasso and I'm sure the finale will have many great moments.
  3. I thought this episode was very good. I enjoyed all of the character interactions (except those with the heinous Mark) and believed all of the reactions/feelings were realistic and beautifully portrayed by all, especially Teen Kate. BUT Toby- I saw a clip of the actor in a movie with Daniel Radcliffe where Toby actor is a Nazi skinhead. He was convincingly hateful and scary. Cut back to TIU and Toby is having issues about his own newborn son. About how Toby is dealing with Jack's blindness- our grandson was born very premature and it was as if we all had to deal with the death of the idea of a perfect pregnancy ending with a healthy full-term infant. All of us grandparents and the two parents dealt with it in different ways but we all definitely went through all the stages of grief. Fast-forward to now: the grandson is a healthy, happy 3-year-old and those days are in the distant past. So I get that Toby had to deal with the reality of Jack and his blindness. But is Toby secretly online with pro-Nazi groups? jk I also winced when Toby was clapping on the"baby" a bit too hard. Off to google "infant Heimlich technique". I agree that Kate may not be in the future- I hope they're not showing her because of the uncertainty of her weight. But I really wish Toby would just kind of go away. And I really liked him at first!
  4. I can't stand Whoopi's "valley girl" voice (right up there with "welcometotheviewwelcometotheviewwelcomtotheview"). Blech The Barron/baron statement was a bad pun and out of place in the venue. No, it is not the same as the Chelsea Clinton comments. The scholar apologized- what else can she do? Abby is just so vacuous. I was going to say privileged but I guess you could say that about the entire panel. I didn't miss MM and thank heaven she wasn't there for the "political kids" discussion. I think I heard somewhere that she is the daughter of a politician and knows a lot about politics because of her birth.
  5. This show is just frustrating the crap out of me. Things that are driving me crazy, in no special order: Mateo/bratty behavior, Baby, Michael amnesia plot, Rafael d*ckishness, Jane's love triangle (again).
  6. "You think what Trump is doing is bad, well, Clinton was worse!" I think this is going to be my strategy whenever someone doesn't like what I'm doing. "You think this report is incomplete, well, what about Hillary giving incomplete information about the emails!" "I may be late to this meeting but what about all of the times Obama was slow to respond to Syria!" "You call this chaos? It's nothing compared to the Clinton's first 100 days!"
  7. I'm guessing that if Joe was unpopular at college, it wasn't because of his "conservative" views. We've all known people like Joe and Miller (and can they please stop calling him "Little Miller, the kid"?). People that wanted to "prove" their points (whether conservative, liberal, lgbt, religious or fill in the blank) and wouldn't give it up when no one would listen anymore. I refuse to be blamed for anyone's behavior or development into a raving lunatic just because I didn't want to engage with them in a "discussion" (ie. rant in my direction). And Joe's passive-aggressive remarks towards Donnie for the rest of the program were over the top. We. got. it.
  8. My eyes rolled back so hard at Joe's declaration of "It's FAKE NEWS!!!". I guess the MLK bust story will be a thing to trot out to compare with: the fake Bowling Green Massacre, the 3M votes by "illegals", and whatever lie the WH wants to promote. And who the heck was Joe quoting with all the "stories" by the "mainstream media"? It seemed like he was talking about all of the fringe websites that people link to on Facebook. I was trying to watch MJ but when they just trot out the DJT talking points, I'm out.
  9. For some reason, I thought that Juliette was totally making up the story about her father. It didn't occur to me that her mother probably lied to her. Since her mother obviously had issues, it makes sense that we might see Juliette's father make an appearance in Nashville.
  10. Franopy, Scarlett's mother left town thankfully, after Scarlett told her she loved her but needed her mother to leave town, hopefully forever! Did anyone else think that Zoe was borderline weird last night? Honestly, I wish she would leave Nashville as I don't care about her at all. She's only there to be a place-holder in the inevitable Scarlett-Gunnar reunion anyway. I hope against hope that Juliette will not have to "pay the price" for the hookup with the oily Jeff. All he is missing is the mustache to twirl whenever he shows up.
  11. The thing that doesn't make any sense to me at all is the fact that neither psycho nurse nor Will saw Gideon in the next cell. Or even knew that he was in the next cell. Seriously? That makes me wonder if it's part of Will's endgame to set up Dr. Gideon somehow. Crikey, this show is unrelenting! So much tension in every scene. I'm shuddering while speculating what's going to happen to Dr. Chilton and Freddie. (Or should I say when?)
