  1. And the best part was everyone turning to someone else, sticking out their spoon and asking, "Do you think this dish is missing something?"
  2. Both Allen and Simpson played for USC and were BMOC. When you look at their college careers and what they did professionally, you see that they were both gifted athletes - very gifted. That being the case, they were both very recognizable around town. Allen was nominated many times the "MIller Lite man of the year" for the Los Angeles Raiders - he was always known as a good guy, but there were stories of his being a man about town while he played in El Lay. Not here or there, but he did keep a low profile when it came to his dating habits.....
  3. And they control it via a phone app? ------- A dog pants to control it's body temp, dogs don't sweat - they have no sweat glands, so when you see a dog with it's tongue hanging out and he is panting up a storm, it usually means it's overheating,
  4. I made the Krusteaz Lemon Bars for the show tonight, I want to dedicate one to Yoyo, for fits and shiggles!!
  5. The "ohio pony" storyline was interesting. Small/boutique horses are bred to be small and thru that breeding - and pretty much any animal - some characteristics that make them unique are the same ones that make them undesirable. Small ponies were bred to work in mines in the 1800's. They were stout and able to pull ore cars thru the small tunnels. Because they are no longer used in that fashion, some people probably do not get them shoes -. The Ohio pony was walking on what looked like a dirt path and probably wasn't shod for that kind of ground. A horse's hoof is basically a nail and a bottom softer part of the foot behind it. Without a steel or temp shoe a horse stepping on a pebble or rock would go limp and show that in his gait. That said? LVP does have the means to have had a vet come in and check the horse - like you would have a mechanic look at a car you were going to purchase? Either way, that horse should have been looked at before or after and it's well being assured.
  6. Before the 'therapy dog' was in fashion there was the Guide Dogs for the Blind, Now you just have to go see a physician to write out a note that you need the dog for some kind of medical/mental support. There are places in the interwebz that give you all the into of getting your dog certified. You just need a doc to agree with your request.. I am not the kind of person that gets grossed out by having pets around the area where I eat, but putting a dog in a chair making it a plate and allowing it to eat or drink off of utensils, plates or glasses irritates me for some reason?
  7. I dunno why, but I seem to remember there was something about a car rental business that he helped them with? The Brown's knew about his abuse. During DB's testimony she related a story about the three of them at some kind of club and Denise witnessed OJ pinning Nicole against a wall with one hand and grabbing her crotch with the other saying something like, "This is where my babies come from". Had it been my sister, I would have told her to GTF away from this AH. I think the people close to Nicole knew about the DV and abuse and after the trial they tried to absolve themselves by writing and getting involved in anti-abuse movements?
  8. Our goldendoodle has skin problems, we have changed his diet and he only takes a Benadryl occasionally. He used to chew on his paws until we went to an avocado based food and that improved the condition.....Holding him down for colonics, lemon cleanses and photos without makeup came to an end, too.
  9. I saw every day of the trial because I had access to a TV in my office and being in El Lay there was quite a bit of twattery associated with the whole case. Most of it was the way OJ was handled/treated? There was an early basketball playoff game on the tube and they interrupted the game to show the Bronco on the freeway - then they went to split screen coverage - every local channel was covering it. As they drove the freeway, the cops closed off parts of the freeway and the number of people that gathered along the route reminded me of the crowds that gathered for the Olympic torch runs in '84...At the end of the chase, they allowed him to go into the house and get a glass of OJ (insert disbelief here). When the cops were called to his house for a report of DV, he either ran off before they got there or he schmoozed the officers that showed up by being 'OJ' - he'd sign autographs, give tours of the house and be very apologetic - the cops would be starstruck by his act and give him a pass. They never followed up on the calls when he'd leave before they got there. There were a few cops assigned to that area who had been to the home on previous DV calls - they knew who lived there. The media circus around the trial and the way that Clark and Darden were portrayed also took away from the work they did. Their clothes, relationship and even Clark's sudden change of hair style during the proceedings trumped any of the work they were doing. The blood evidence that was taken home by one of the investigators was a HUGE stumbling block - at the time, The LAPD had some prior cases where evidence was mishandled and they were under attack for the sloppy work the crime lab was doing. For a while lawyers were using that argument to their advantage and the OJ trial was a gut punch to the system. (Soon after the trial was over, the LAPD slapped bumper stickers on all their vehicles that said something like "There is no excuse for Domestic Violence". A vinyl mea culpa?) It seemed like the ONLY voice that was heard above the din belonged to Fred Goldman and after a while he was everywhere and I believe people got tired of hearing from him? Denise Brown was another caricature that surfaced during that time. After the trial she began a fund with her sister's name attached to it - I seem to remember that it did close down after there were some complaints about how the money was being used. The day they announced the verdict it seemed as if the whole town was stunned - people were walking around in a fog and you could feel it in the air.
  10. Thanks for the info. That is interesting that they would stress an ill dog by dressing it up in costumes every day. He doesn't seem like the kind of dog that would be left to run around ourside or exposed to much sunlight. I have a 16 year old cat that, when he was younger, I would put some kind of costume on for a holiday photo. As he got older, I figured that he's earned the right to be left alone and he pretty much does what he wants. In the past he traveled with us, but now we find that he's better off being boarded, than dragged about?
  11. Thanks for clarifying that, she was pretty vague in the TH segment and I watched that epi a few times to get the gist of what exactly the FR was for - I remember her fussing over the flower arrangements and thinking that the money spent on dying flowers would have been better used in another way? The reason I questioned the dog's alopecia is from looking at the "world's ugliest dog contests"!! They seem to be able to strut without too many outfits?
  12. I just looked it up. Vereen had crashed his Corvette earlier that evening and was walking home - he passed the sobriety tests that the CHP gave him after the wreck. The accident happened at about 3 a.m. in the morning and DF wasn't charged. The accident happened back in 92 - Those were the days when your name was good enough to get you off with a warning. I remember the crash because he had produced some music by my favorite bands and remember thinking he probably was effed up. I stand corrected.
  13. Any MoFoYoFo project might have this tagline attached? "Brought to you by the Southern California Citrus Growers Association" ---------- After years of employment in the health care industry, seeing the implementation of the HIPPA/Privacy Laws concerning medical records/files and having a little experience with having to carry a FN infusion pump around for 6 weeks because I was stupid? In an 11 day period I saw all these docs - internal medicine, surgeon, ortho surgeon, foot specialist, infection control doctor and missed out on an OB/Gyn.. I have a hard time feeling sorry for Yoyo because when you open the door to your house, you have to expect that people are going to track dirt on your floor? Your health and whatever you go see a doctor for should be something kept private? I remember the days when people went to 'see the doctor'. Now? People don't have any problem with talking about treatments/surgeries that they may have had - it is almost as if they try to make THEIR suffering more than the next guy's. YoFo has the name and the ability to put a spotlight on a disease that we are still trying to figure out and if she is going to be the 'face' of the disease, she needs to know that it is NOT ALL ABOUT HER. For every Yolanda Foster, Lyme patient? There are thousands of people who don't have the means or even an insurance package, that would allow them to see an infectious disease specialist? I don't know what she has or the extent of her illness(es), But I have seen enough 'sick' people to know that most of them don't GAS about their makeup timetable. They worry about getting better?
  14. And remember that David nearly killed Ben Vereen on PCH in a drunk driving case a few years ago? --------- I was thinking about the sponsorship ideas.... Candy? Picture: Mike's Lemonhead Box Voiceover: "My Lohve, When I cannot cleanse I do the sec-und best teeg, I pop a Lemonhead into my mouf" --- Or wouldn't it be a hoot if one day, while cleaning/dusting she gets a whiff of Lemon Pledge and is cured? "Huffing Lemon Pledge Saved My Life" on the next Dr Phil. ------ Lemons, Colonics, needles that prick me When I don't medicate, it's Lyme's the sicks me Taking a selfie, the pleasure it brings These are a few of my favorite things?
  15. Lymelight (with apologies to Rush) Living in a light headed haze. Life can be so unreal It clears with lemon peel Out of touch with some reality I think I have the Lyme's Bit by some infected tick Damn thing did get me sick. A colonic does the trick and photos of some needle stick. Living with the Lyme's might wanna make you scream This thing it ain't no dream It makes you suffer more than normally, it seems. Living drinking lemons cleanse caught in the camera eye My selfies do not lie I can't pretend a treatment ends Cured, how can I get by?
  16. I remove my hat and bow to your creativity. I'll gladly take the second place 'certificate of participation'.... Today has been deliciously fun and pointed. I have a box of lemon bars mix that I may attempt to bake......or save it for the show tomorrow?
  17. Another possible title, "Don't let Lyme's sour YOUR Outlook" The book will have an accompanying CD where Yo will sing the some standards? An example: (Sung to the tune of "Signs") Lyme's, Lyme's everywhere the Lyme's. Clogging up my memory, degrading my mind Cleanse this, don't cleanse that Is that a lemon rind?
  18. An excerpt from the forthcoming autobiography from Yolanda Foster. I wa nly t 0% of m m ntal cap ity. I w s forg tfu an co ld not reme be mos th ngs. I sp t m st of my d ys lo k ng up at th ce lin of my be ro m. Lym 's ha t rned m int a sh ll of a p rs n.

  21. Possible titles? When Life Gives You Lyme's, Make a Lemon Cleanse The Key Lyme's Diet The Daily (G)Rind, My Life with Lyme's Would I "Lyme's" To You? "Peeling" the Fallacy from Lyme's Separating the Truth from the Lyme's
  22. I am trying to set up a Go "Fun" Me page for Ken Todd. I am taking suggestions on things he MIGHT be able to do to have FUN when he is hanging around the hens..... Pink flower arranging Combining color pallets/wardrobe management for women Laughing at your wife's stupid jokes. Hand to hand combat/defending your wife Sulking away when corrected Dressing your Pets Dottering like an proper Englishman Rosetta Stone Language Immersion/Pomeranian.....
  23. A little more on breast implants? What people don't realize is that an both styles of implants have silicone in their construction. A SBI is a silicone sac filled with either gel or saline, so no matter what, you have silicone introduced into the body. Surgeons also asked woman to massage their implants to keep them pliable - otherwise the silicone had the potential to harden. IF a saline SBI ruptures it's just saline that leak into the body. Silicone oozes - and depending on where the implant sits - above or below the muscle will dictate how much surgery a woman will have to undergo.
