I have a question (sorry, I am only just watching this episode now). Why are parents pulling their "kids" out of the program? What I mean is that they're adults, college students, over 18, so can a parent really pull out their kid? It seems a bit childish? Mingo is right, Daphne's life is harder. Seems like Abby wasn't jealous of Maddie, she was annoyed they're shutting her out now. Is it normal Melissa as the mum couldn't get in to the audience? Anyway, they acted like Abby was so awful to Maddie but it seemed like she just treated her like everyone else..? Abby seemed nice this episode. What's a Charleston and why was that such a bad dance move? It looked ok? And lol at Melissa being mad at Kenzie's critique, Abby was being ok there. How does such a gross lady (Ashlee) have a daughter who looks like a young Scarlett Johansson! Kenzie's solo was really messy, Jojo's didn't convey the message very well and Nia's didn't suit her, but was ok. Group dance was really nice. Lemons, Kenzie said before her favourite is tap dancing and she says she's really good, but we've never gotten to see it.

What gives you the impression Brynn has a conniving side? Her mother? I agree, I want to see more of Kenzie and Jojo (and Maddie being real/not rehearsed, sorry :P). So agreed about Holly, gross.

I can't stand Sam, is he the oldest one left now? Just watched. Is it bad that I felt a bit sorry for Abby this episode? Why did they need to go to Debbie Allen's, the whole "not being allowed in" Abby's studio seems production decided to me. They could have easily trained with Gia without Abby's help. Omg dying with laughter at Jill gloating over Debbie saying Brynn dances with no emotion. Whilst I agree, Kendall much? XD Also loved Jesslyn's smirk when Ashalee went on about three baby daddies, I'd have been sniggering myself. Wait what, KIRA has a master's degree, really? I'm sort of feeling the dispute between Kira and Ashalee is real and feeling it's probably Ashalee who's the true awful one, so poor Brynn as she seems nice. Brynn's solo was actually really nice, but she ruined it by doing a Kendall, blank face. Debbie was right. Maddie could have done it, she gets joy from dancing. Although at one point Brynn did some side leg lift thing I've never seen Maddie do? Kalani's solo was amazing <3

I think they're gone for several weeks and when they come back, Kendyl and one other (Areana maybe?) are gone. Oh wow, so Brynn is also a student of Alexa? Her little sister makes videos with Kalani and has to appear as the most annoying person ever, something about her is so irritating. Why do they keep taking kids from that studio! Hahahaha^, so true. Kendall isn't the only one not have been around though, wasn't Nia also new to the studio (as in joined for the show?)

Is she the six year old? (Areana) If so, she did seem to be struggling during the practice session and she was clearly off in all the numbers she's done. But I mean, she is six.. Wouldn't call her better than Maddie, even Maddie aged 8 (although 6 vs 8, hard to compare).

Chancellor is growing on me, both his parents are hilarious xD Vivek seems sweeter now too, also growing on me. Nonsense about Sam being too young, there was a small girl in the UK version called Niha who was just as young, if not younger, and incredibly witty and well-spoken. It depends on the person but Sam seems like a brat, again. But lol that he's actually 12. Surprised people made so many mistakes on the memory round, it seemed easier than the maths round xD But I guess stress. If the USA version is like the UK, Adrian is going to win because he's getting the most screentime.

It makes it so lame when there are hardly any competitors.

I agree, but the dad almost seems worse. He's more silent, however he might be the more controlling one. Both these parents are just too smug to deal with. I also wish it wasn't just about memorising given material, it was so boring with everyone scoring 10. They should have to read the books to know the answers. I wanted Sam to go home, he's so whiny.

Loved the Bollywood dance! The minis were a bit off, but overall it was awesome. Nia and Kalani were great also, it wasn't really a good style for Kalani but Nia suited it really well. Kendall ruined the other duet, she seemed to be acting the same role as Brynn (sweet pretty girl). Unlike you guys, I'm not a fan of Peyton, all four of the minis just seem really bland and they all look the same (makeup?). And everyone is too easy on the minis, I mean the originals were 6,8,9ish at the time, same as these minis, and they did a good job. However Peyton is probably better than Kenzie was, but she doesn't care much about this I guess, so I agree she should just go be a normal kid. I think you guys are being harsh on Maddie, on Youtube there's lots of clips of her in classes not at the ALDC, random workshops and stuff, so it's not like Melissa never opens her up to corrections from other people. I agree that the girls are all social media pros, I miss season 1 with normal kids. So agreed about how awkward it was for Holly when Debbie admitted the producers or someone asked for them to come xD Debbie didn't seem to care about them, she probably just did it for some cash/promotion.

Arnav was being a brat - "I want to be the best out of everybody, I don't want to get a measly 9/10!". Sam seems just as whiny, but his parents are more infuriating so he has an excuse. Arnav has nice parents it seems. Poor Gianna, her parents need to focus more on her and less on themselves. Does anyone watch the UK version?

Nia - June 20, 2001 Kalani - Sept. 23, 2000 Nia is less than a year younger than Kalani so she's not exactly way older than everyone. Although she'll be 16 this year, this show suits younger dancers better IMO.

Yeah.. it might be that since she's more in the spotlight than the others, she has to be really careful what she says (I mean we can see how EVERY comment she makes gets bashed if you look on Youtube or other websites), so she has to be really politically correct and boring. Jojo is the only really interesting one. Mackenzie could be possibly snarky but they'd never show it. They are basically just normal teenagers, like Chloe and Paige judging by their channels. Not such "personalities", but the show was meant to be about the mums and dancing I suppose. Of course it was best back when the kids were so excited to win and having genuine reactions. YES, what is with the minis makeup? I can't tell who is who, they all look the same! Kenzie looks a lot like her dad from what I remember, now her face lost some baby cuteness. She's really pretty but when she's just normally talking and not posing, her face isn't.. delicate? like Maddie's, it's kind of pouty?

Yeah, the hair dye thing is strange. It was never said why she takes Korean, it was just briefly mentioned in one episode. I suppose to an extent Jessalyn is a stage mother, but just more sensible than some.

Everyone is quite funny except for Luke.

How long has it been like that? I mean in season 1, those interactions between Kelly and Christie, drinking and bitching, they seemed kind of real. And funny to watch. I like original mothers like Holly more as in they were normal people, initially not so fame hungry and so they have some empathy. Those fake tanned mothers (mini mothers) when they saw Abby having a meltdown, they just screwed up their noses. I know she seems crazy so you would be like "wtf", but you'd think you'd show some concern.. I don't know, I don't like the mini mums. 100% fame hungry fakers? Interesting what Ashlee said about how it was "meant to be Kendall's year", I wonder if production promised that.. Jessalyn was speaking a lot of sense to Ashlee, and Maddie was right about Jill being embarrassing xD Although I think Jill and Melissa's families are close so it was half a friendly remark. Omg that menopause comment was hilarious xD As was Jessalyn sending the mini-mums into Abby! They made the right choices for the photoshoot, Kalani could have been good too. All the other girls still look too young, Jojo, Kenzie and Brynn would be good in a kid's shoot. I'm not a Kira fan but I always do think Kalani seems like a really sweet girl. Jojo and Jess are my favourites though, Jojo does piano and Korean as well so at least Jess seems to care about her being educated? And Jojo always seems really kind and down to earth. I really liked Maddie's dance, a bit different from usual and she danced really well, she got steadier! That was a dance Kendall could have been given but Maddie did it better than Kendall could have. The group dance (seniors) was great, Nia, Maddie, Jojo and Kalani stood out. Kenzie was off. The minis were good but I can't warm to them like I warmed to the original girls somehow.. Awwww Kenzie mentoring Payton, that's cute.
