So is it a combination of Greek mythology and Powell and Pressburger’s film, A Matter of Life and Death? It is interesting and entertaining but I cannot decide if it’s trying to hard too be clever or is actually clever.

Pivot Front Door! Perfect representation of Cory’s character.

Cory in space? I cannot fathom how UBA believes that would increase viewership.

Clement gets the message that absolutely no one wants to listen to his cassette tape.

The smoking gun is no more. I wasted time reading about the Detroit River’s depth (53 ft at its deepest!) and speed. Pointless with no prints. Taunt episode including the reprise of Raylan, a table, and a gun for a possible showdown.

Reservation Dogs - General Discussion
BeckyThatcher replied to BetterButter's topic in Reservation Dogs
What a surprising lovely painful episode. Seeing Maximus in his youth as he is visited by a “star person” and knowing how all this plays out leading to his isolation and mental health treatments. Grandma Mable! Fixico already destined to be a medicine man and in the present day we know he now faces his own demise. Maximus’ friends dismiss his visitation so will Bear’s friends do the same? Is the future already set to repeat this story or will Bear’s friends accept him? Is this one of the points in the episode? A haunting powerful story that will linger in my thoughts. -
Rappelling hooks and rope should be on every rangers/ security. Train more on rope skills and tactical movement and less on search and battering rams. Although their search methods need help as well. Who is training these groups? Meanwhile, Juliette has mad leaping and landing skills.

Glloria cries “I have to go back!” If only the Oceanic Six could help. Such a long gap between shift changes for the nursery. But nice pacing for unraveling a few mysteries while adding more questions.

It only the steam containment chamber had a release valve, perhaps a button to push every 108 minutes.

Fascinating first episode. I was distracted pondering “why no elevators?” until we see the dismal generator for the entire silo!

Kendall and Fikret echoing Logan and Colin brought a painful quiet sense of loneliness, isolation, and loss as the last beat of a heart pounding episode. Kendall seeking self- justification by verbalizing his need to blame others, to wash his hands of responsibility by muttering to his driver, who cannot respond, is Kendall only speaking in an echo chamber.

The pairing of the magic show and a father’s tears with Wiley’s theatre and the man’s tears was perfect. -

There’s hatch! Thanks Damon Lindelof. What was the acronym? Hidden Access Tactical Camouflage Hideout. Hee. -

It’s not the real estate, but the stock values that is Mattson’s concern. Mattson understands that this announcement will drive up the stock price, raising the valuation above his offer. If Kendall had failed in the presentation, no matter, but as Mattson watched the positive tweet response he knew the valuation would rise. This would void his current purchase proposal as the board would expect a higher purchase proposal. This is part of Kendall and Roman’s “let’s tank the deal” plan prior to the presentation. (Mattson originally said he wanted Waystar for the massive data/content library for his streaming service GoJo. His current motivations have changed.) Caveat: Literature major here who only passed Calculus by crying to the professor. All my phaux business knowledge is thanks to hours of television.

It may just be a win for the day, but seeing Kendall floating face up with a fleeting smile as opposed to floating face down in Italy, brought tears to my eyes. Kendall writing the number 1 in the sand to declare he is the “number one boy” while Roman plays and replays his father’s altered words was poignant and beautifully edited.

Emulsifiers can be terrifying. Randy’s lesson of the day.

Dorothy wins the Rooftop Agility Award. Poor over-the-moon Tobey. He’s gone back to work, so pleased as punch about his awesome date he doesn’t know his workplace has closed due to the destructive storm.

It must be so stressful to find the right lady in waiting plus staff. No gossip, no secret lights in the window, - and a constant supply of clean stockings, no holes or runs, tidy demure shoes, and flawless pedicures. And some type of aftercare- bleach, pillow to scream into… Each day A has to add 20 minutes to her foot care routine in case L hobbles over with information.

I keep imagining Sam, in Chicago for a Chesney concert, heading over to “The Bear” for a sandwich. It does not go well.

Sometimes just by admitting the harm you have done to others, releases both parties from some internal constraints. Simply beautiful ending. Heartfelt and honest, and piercing starkness.

Could it be that OriginalJeff transforms into NewLameJeff through Gene’s eyes once Gene dispenses with his own fear? Jeff was seen through Fearful Gene’s eyes as menacing and a potential threat. Now that Gene has devised a Saul/Jimmy plan, OJ becomes NewLessThanJeff. It’s just in how Gene viewed him?

Angela’s little speech about “love” should have all of her “Dads” sending her to therapy.

Could Zoe’s financial reveal just be a set up to see how much money Dan is quickly willing to give. She doesn’t take the money but is she testing the waters and setting trap? I just don’t believe her reactions. Or maybe if she’s not some secret agent or scam artist, she just a writer’s contrived plot device of lonely woman who rents for $, companionship, and eggs. Great cast; just somethings seem contrived.

Lyle singing “La Cucaracha” substituting “Los Pollos Hernados” for cockroach was an amazing touch. The cockroach cannot walk, indeed!
