  1. It's interesting that she coached Bromlier in how to contuct himself as a commander when he now outranks her. I love that these characters can learn and grow while still being themselves.
  2. I love a good ringworld! That Betazoid Box is creepy.
  3. “Running out of resources” Didn’t the FAM timeline have lots of clean energy? One of my favourite counter-factual shows. So happy to have a trailer and a date.
  4. How does anything get done on Klingon and Romulan ships with all the assassinations and plotting? There must be Klingons and Romulans who just want to explore space and do thier jobs.
  5. Charlie X is Q as a teenager.
  6. It must be hard for the medical folks to maintain expertise and knowledge with huge holes in their memories.
  7. LD and the odd episode of SNW are the only Trek Shows I feel the need to rewatch. Dawnn Lewis has a great voice.
  8. The episode title it elf is a “nod” to Star Wars. Handsome, noble Glawin was too perfect to live: he knew that he was a liability who was preventing his husband from standing up to Day. So now Bel no longer has Glawin to lose. 😪 How will that change Bel's actions going forward?
  9. @AllyB are the Star Wars similarities “nods” or “derivative”? Some would argue Star Wars borrowed a lot from the Foundation novels. Not getting the math of why we are on Cleon 17. They must decant a new one every 30 years, and maybe the first few Cleons didn’t come out right. Demerzel/Cleon 1 is one of the most messed up and abusive relationships I’ve ever seen. ETA: I refuse to subscribe to Disney so my knowledge of the Star Wars canon is limited to the feature films and one episode of Andor. Those with a deeper knowledge of SW may be more qualified to comment on the resemblances between SW and this Foundation show.
  10. Roxann Dawson directed the last two episodes. B'elanna Torres on Voyager. The second Star Trek Actor (that I know of) to become a director. I just saw a You Tube video speculating that Ignus Hari is in fact a robot, which is how he survived being drowned. (Maybe there was a large bag a rice around) So Demerzel is not the last of her kind. Speaking of Demerzel, the Empire is really into sadistic methods of imprisonment. Yikes. The "Segmenting" reminded me of a particularly graphic episode of Hannibal. Interesting that Demerzel is called a robot and not an android, which is what we usually call a robot that looks human or humanoid.
  11. Whoa! I need to think about this one for a bit. Oh Glawin😥 This one time it’s not a bury your gays thing but rather a Day is the biggest asshat in the galaxy thing, just standing there ordering Bel to give the order that will kill his husband who he thought was already dead twice. Day’s cruelty is stunning.
  12. Who else loved Ransome and Shax working out in their cute outfits?
  13. I was about to say the same thing. That was great. He did write "City on the Edge of Forever"
  14. I am wondering how Tendi's dynamic with T'Lyn will impact her friendship with Rutherford. It's different because Rutherford is more about engineering and T'Lyn is about Science.
  15. Weird that there was no Kate Mulgrew cameo. The mashup of various crew members was disturbing. Both in this episode and “Those Old Scientists” Mariner is less jaded and genuinely excited by Starfleet history.
  16. "Don't you want to see Tuvok's quarters?" "Are they austere?" I am loving T’Lyn and Tendi. No fair that Rutherford didn't get promoted!
  17. The title must be a reference to the delightfully titled "I Have No Mouth, and I Must Scream" by Harlan Ellison
  18. Last night I watched "The Omega Glory," which left me even more confused about World War III in the TrekVerse. Spock says something like "(This Planet) had the conflict Earth avoided" Yet isn't a nuclear world war a central tenant of the TrekVerse? Or was Spock referring to a biological war and not a nuclear war?
  19. The Gaal/Tallem thing continues to be the least interesting part of the show for me. Hope Salvor rescues her Mom soon and they can be off that stupid planet. Constant wanting sex seemed like a cliche from a million different stories: she has just had a traumatic near death event, she has lost her beloved pet/security system, and does not know the status of her friend and mentor. So sexy Times! Even so, Hodor was great about the whole thing. The guy is much more complex than the whole "Charming Rouge" trope. I am shocked, *shocked* that Demerzel has been running the Empire this whole time, if that is what is going on.
  20. No! Not Becky!!! I really like Constant and Hodor together. Hope they are safe on Bel's ship.
  21. And who knows if psychohistory isn't a load of BS? All Empires fall eventually. The Foundation spending the past 100+ years developing their technology to surpass Empire's Tech seems more self-fulfilling prophesy than anything else. I agree that the Prime Radiant is an extremely impressive piece of technology, but its design can be credited to Yanna more than Hari
  22. I just mentioned those novels a few hours ago on the SNW forum.
  23. I can't remember the titles, but there are a couple of novels with Roberta and the Eugenics Was, which somehow happened in secret.
  24. IIRC, That episode was suppose to set up a spin-off series that never happened.
  25. Many French people speak English with a British accept because they learned English from the British.
