  1. The irony of that gold digger shouting SAVINGS! hurts my face.
  2. It was sex with Tom Sandoval, so no that’s not it.
  3. What I'm getting from them is: James cheated on Raquel in 2016 because she was going to sleep with Tom Sandoval in 2022. And Lala was abusive to Raquel from 2016-2021 (and slept with her boyfriend when she felt like it) because she knew Raquel was going to call her a mistress in 2022. Look out Long Island Medium, they's a-comin' for your job.
  4. The idea for the show is a good one: watch a group of attractive young people working at Lisa Vanderpump's restaurant get into interesting hijinks, love affairs, scandals. The problem is we're still following the original shmucks who are getting less young/attractive/interesting with every episode. I feel similarly about most Bravo shows, most recently Summer House. New batch every year would do the trick. The Real World original recipe.
  5. I wanna buy this but I'm new here - How much do I need? For reference I have 10 fingers. 10 bottles?
  6. Torso dipped out, so he dipped out?
  7. Ariana was pointing out that she and Tom did have sex since the S&R affair began, and Sandoval sarcastically snapped "She kept her T-shirt on, it was really hot" as if her wearing a T-shirt negates the fact that they're fucking. I know some people who would say "Yeah I had sex last night but I had to beg for it" and they get sympathy because let's face it no partner really wants to be unwanted, and I feel like maybe (?) that's what Tom was trying to get at (?) but focusing on a T-shirt was a weird choice. To be clear the being unwanted doesn't justify cheating either- if your partner doesn't want you, make yourself someone they'll want or find a new partner who does.
  8. It's a spectrum, a scale- and impairments may be greater for some skills than others. Popular majors for autistic university students are engineering and computer science, so clearly intelligence isn't a barrier depending on where those deficits exist. Most ASD women aren't diagnosed until adulthood because the common signs they exhibit when younger (anxiety, shyness, low self-esteem, difficulty reading social cues) are chapped up to age and it isn't properly explored to see where those behaviors come from. Trauma bonded, groomed.. She needs his "love" and validation because he's caught her in a cycle of reward. This show generally is a horrible place for Raquel, and Sandoval is quite literally the worst fucking individual for her to have gotten entangled with. If we look at how any of these people describe their friendships/relationships with Raquel, there's a commonality of "I took her in" / "I took care of her" / "I looked out for her" that truly isn't typical of adult friendships.
  9. Yes yes yes yes. The final interview really drove this home for me. I really believe she has no idea what she’s doing wrong and she has no concept of how anything will look. Pair that with someone who very intentionally crafts truths for appearances like Sandoval? Fucking diabolical to 1) sleep with someone like this (brain age ~11) particularly knowing it will result in a situation they are in absolutely no shape to cope with and 2) coach them to lie about it and make that already unmanageable situation even more impossible with their limited abilities. Pinky and the Brain. Her actions were bad, but I wouldn’t convict her because Shame on you Bravo. And Sandoval should take a long walk off a short cliff.
  10. So answering Lala’s question, if Sandoval would’ve approached Ariana before the affair and said he thought he might be developing feelings for Raquel, she said she would’ve told him “either we’re done and over or you never see her again.” How exactly would that work on a show like this?
  11. T-Bone it’s almost as though your girl’s shirt will come off if you.. take it off her. Was his nail polish drying at the time?
  12. It definitely doesn’t justify her actions. There’s something so off with her though.. like she found the Ask Zoltar machine from Big and she’s actually 11. It makes me hate Sandoval extra.
  13. Yes. I have lots of ideas for alternates, too. Including my buddy Chantel's go-to: For the record: I think every single member of the VPR cast is rude, mean, low class, badly-mannered. They are also all getting increasingly latex-y in the face from season to season. And I know I've said castmembers are hypocritical for delighting in using Raquel's birth name to her face, but I wouldn't call another PT poster rude or low class, etc. only that for me personally it's not a thing I'd do. No argument, no mystery, people have different opinions. Experiences vary, and experiences shape perspective. I know mine are unique and that sometimes gives me UOs. Let's just say, hypothetically, that a father was abusive towards a mother for years and that within days of a new baby boy's birth, left the mother with a newborn and other small children, never to return, immediately started a different family with someone else, never supported the first mother financially, and that the whole experience left the mother in such a state that it was like no parents existed at all. And let's say, hypothetically, that same father had chosen to name the baby boy Logan- and that he decided as a child he didn't want the name his father had given him so he started going by Luke- so widely that his Little League photos and 5th grade yearbooks reflected his name as Luke and only his birth cert/SS card retained the name Logan. Later in life, he falls in love with a friend's girlfriend and they're found out, he loses all his friends, and they start calling him Logan out of spite. Raquel hasn't said that the name Rachel hurts her, but she's been open about her childhood- her mother found herself with an unwanted pregnancy, her sister had struggled with infertility and wanted a child, so she passed her off at birth- her biological mother didn't even attend her engagement party.
  14. And that James "The #6 #3 #1 Guy In The Group" Kennedy was a willing participant.
  15. Let's not forget they are all egomaniac famewhores.
  16. 100% respectfully agree to disagree, KFB. People think differently, and that's what makes horse races. If someone introduces themselves to me as James T. Kirk but I find out later that their legal name is Bill Shatner, I don't need them to tell me not to call them Bill Shatner and lay their trauma or reasoning at my feet for me to decide whether it's a good enough reason. I can just as easily call them James T. Kirk because clearly that's their preferred name. ^Good enough for me. Thinking of this Part III "bombshell" that might make castmembers not want to renew their contracts... and wondering if it might be that Raquel and Sandoval were already contracted to return.
  17. I believe the equivalent would be if my avatar used to be Daenerys and I changed it to Drogo following the trauma of GoT S8 but someone insisted on calling me Daenerys because they don't like me. It would just be rude.
  18. This makes my head actually hurt. Only certain people's feelings matter.
  19. Seriously. He was shoving his opinions down Lindsay's throat so hard- he actually shushed her and cut her off as if she was on the stand in a courtroom. I've never seen him "YES! OR! NO!" someone so badly and show his bias the way he did on these two reunion episodes. It was a complete fucking ambush. Andy: "Danielle may have made your entire relationship and engagement about her BuT cAnT yOu SeE HeR fEeLiNgS wErE HuRt?! People do crazy things when tHeiR fEeLiNgS wErE HuRt" Lindsay: "Yes I was done with her by that conversation because my feelings were so hurt by her actions all summer" Andy: "She was your best friend for ten years, Lindsay- you should be able to ignore the fact that your fEeLiNgS wErE HuRt" Also- Not Kyle getting on Lindsay for being in Carl's ear while Amanda is pumping cue card text into Kyle's literal ear.
  20. That is not my understanding of “dead naming “. To me, that term applies to a person who is in the process of transitioning, or who has transitioned, not to someone who wants a more exotic sounding name. Maybe Ariana feels the same? Dead names aren’t specific to the transgendered community, names are changed for many traumatic reasons. For example someone whose parent gave them away at birth or someone who’s been in an abusive relationship (both of which Raquel has been) might consider their birth name distressing. None of it means she’s an innocent in her current circumstances, but for me personally it would be wrong to call her by a name she doesn't appear to have used since at least childhood.
  21. Calling her Rachel is treating her differently. Most folks won’t use dead names for people- regardless of whether they have legally changed their name yet (or plan to.) It’s hypocritical that someone as “enlightened” as Ariana claims to be would casually throw that name around. There’s enough terrible behavior to go after Raquel for without dismissing her chosen identity.
  22. Looks like she’s been Raquel pre-VPR.
  23. Andy was way too involved in this reunion. Read the cards and fuck off, Cohen.
