  1. Scaramucci will be on Celebrity Big Brother. I may have to not watch because my God is that man overbearing. Someone said that he stole all of the light in the room... He's like a robot that has one mission, get those talking points out! I really wish that Bill and Donna had let Frum go at him. Frum is pissed and he doesn't like the toad. Scaramucci kind of looks like Pepe the frog which is used by the alt right.

What got me is barely any of the shit she was listing about making marriage so hard made a lick of sense. Buy detergent, walk dogs? It is not like Marc was the one that brought pets into the family. She been had dogs and most every thing else is  shit she had to do when she was single anyway.

And I am also about tired of her "I's married" BS. Isn't it just so cute how controlling Marc is and how Kenya just submits to him. He wants an X car but she wants Y car, but Kenya lets him get X car cause he is an alpha? Kenya has dragged other women for saying the same shit. Chile, I hope I am wrong but I bet  money 2-3 years from now Kenya be ready to make another Domestic violence video 'cause all that alpha shit is cute .... 'til it ain't.

It is not so much that will was dating someone and calling her his girlfriend. The man is single, didn't know Cynthia at the time and they weren't exclusive but...

    Kandi-Buruss-TheLies.gif

Don't say you haven't been in a relationship for years. Don't act so extra and put upon if you indeed didn't do anything wrong. The clincher - so you wouldn't vote for someone you have been campaigning for just because his GF blew up your spot? Fuckboi extraordinaire.

Todd's intro for Kandi at her event was just outright terrible. Why even mention Porsha and Kim?

    Ace is a total cutie!

I was thinking the same thing but a little harsher when he said well I'm not voting for your boyfriend! Like damn dude, are you that petty! Are you going to campaign against him too since Eva blew up your spot?

If anyone could understand Porsha it should be Momma Joyce and her collection of doctors appointment wigs. She spread lies about Todd, his mother, his father and Kandi best friend who is not interesting enough for me to Google her name. What Phaedra did was messed up but Kandi and her great value entourage is taking this a little far.

I agree. What Todd said was so petty and unprofessional. Don Juan annoys me so much. He can just move on with his rolling of the eyes at everything that he doesn't like. Just forgive the woman and be cordial. No need to announce all the time how good of a person you are to even let her in your space.

In no way am I excusing Porsha. However, I really don't believe that she knew that she was being lied to. That doesn't absolve her of all of her wrong doings, and there were a lot. It takes a lot to forgive, and I would rather not be able you than to constantly be pissed in your presence. Anger isn't healthy.

I thought that Kim said that she wasn't a vegan, but she had tried it in the past and only lasted 15 minutes.

It's not just ignorant--it's a deliberately obtuse position to take, as Dr. King's sermons during the Civil Rights Era would attest.  Many of those sermons and appeals to those who were determined to deny African Americans the rights they were entitled to as American citizens often came from scriptural references.  Those mass rallies were, in fact, held in black churches because it was the only place where African Americans felt they could gather without molestation.  Plus, the black church was the often seen as the center of African American life.  Claiming that today's Democrats would shun Dr. King because of his faith is one of those bombs [no pun intended] that certain people like to lob out there in an attempt to place Democrats on the wrong side of history.  It also ignores the fact that although Dr. King may have identified as a Republican, the Republican Party of the 1960's is a far cry from what it is today.  Also ignored is that Dr. King's tactics were based on Mahatma Ghandi's--not some religious zealotry.

I'm just glad that Bill straightened Andrew Sullivan out on the ridiculous notion that Democrats are somehow all atheists just because they don't believe in having a magnifying glass up someone's skirt, under their mattress and in their closet.

Remember, before Dr. King died, he started what was basically a poor people's movement. He was pointing out to poor Black's and White's how the rich and politicians use race to keep us apart. They say that it scared a lot of people in power and politics.

Frankly, the world would probably be a better place if we remembered that. I do believe that the rich keep the poor divided with race and race issues.

Andrew Sullivan must have been sick, he almost made no sense at all. MLK wouldn't feel at home in the democratic party. Maybe he just felt like being contrary.

I can only speak from my own experience... I waited tables at Chili's 20 yrs ago in college and $20/hr was a slow shift.  My friends all worked in Applebees, Denny's, TGI Fridays, etc. and made similar money.  It wasn't money you would raise a family on, but we had plenty of coworkers that seemed to be able to do that.  Nobody was told to dress more revealingly - but a huge part of waiting tables, especially for women, is flirting.  You don't have to do it, but most girls I knew were able to turn up the charm to get tips.  The guys do this as well.  To think that every interaction in a restaurant, where booze is served and friends gather, is going to be as serious as a bank tellers transaction, is silly.  It would be interesting if Saru conducted some Barbara Ehrenreich style covert ops and actually worked for a while in some of these restaurants firsthand to see the reality.

I guess by too emotional, I mean that, I'm used to academics on this show pushing back with additional facts, statistics and studied counterarguments.  I felt her protestations were more along the lines of "Andrew, COME ON!  Everybody knows that waiting tables is indentured servitude!"  Totally agree to disagree, but she was a weak guest in a weak show, in my opinion.

How does race effect tips? There's a myth that Black people don't tip. Black servers are often not given tips, or even given less than their counterparts. A friend of mine used to sometimes get less of a tip than the busboy. There's also budboys, tips often have to be split with them. $20 and an becomes $10.

I found Saru to be a wonderful guest and I hope she is on again.  She was very informative and caring.  It's possible that the service industry has changed in 20 years.  Interesting that the $20 an hour plus Driving Sideways speaks of, hasn't.

Michael Wolffe was boring.  Today I'm reading that the current affair he referred to is Nikki Haley.  I have a hard time believing that.  I would not think of her as his type (Ivanka types are more his style), but maybe his options are limited these days.

I think that it's Hope Hicks.

  5. Sullivan left a bad residue.. I don't need to see him anytime soon. MLK would be shunned by democrats? Surely, he would put up with the racist overtures that's emanating from the GOP. This isn't to say that there aren't any racist democrats, but if it's a headline about a politician and racism they are more likely to be a republican. MLK, just like other Christians wouldn't have a problem with the DNC.

Can we get the guy who played Wolf on SNL to do his future interviews?

    I missed Larry Wilmore.

I forget the ladies name, but I appreciate her for changing my opinion on tips. It is akin to performing.

  6. After the stuff Bonnie pulled earlier in the season, she deserved for an Annalise to talk to her a little mean. Bonnie started seeing her therapist to get at Annalise... That's crazy. Annalise was trying to set them free, and look at what happens when she does try to stay out of their lives?

I thought Michael Wolff sounded familiar when he was doing the talk show circuit this week. He was a Fred Armisen character all along! And Bill Murray was way too charming as Bannon, but it was fun to see.

I was so sleepy, I thought 'wow he's really promoting his book if he's on SNL'.

IDK why exactly, but I didn't think the garbage guy did it. Glad she didn't mail the letters, but I'm sure the wife saw this show so the pain came across. Frankly, Jackett seemed kind of scummy.

I had the same thought... How was he convicted? I watched a ID show about the case. I missed the 20/20 episode but it sounds like it was a bit better than the 48 Hours episode. Now I have to figure out how to watch old 20/20 episodes.

That's kind-of what I was thinking.  Thanks for confirming that.

She died long before I would have ever gotten any chance to meet her, praise the Lord.  But she left a nasty legacy behind.  Of her 5 kids, all but one are dead - all died relatively young.  The oldest in that industrial accident.  Then the youngest - she died around 2000 of health issues she had her whole life but never took care of (she was a sweet person, but had been in and out of jail, and the endless parade of men in and out of the house messed up her kids - they made the same bad mistakes in their lives).  Then my husband's mother was next (she had two kids - my husband and his brother, who had substance abuse issues and was in jail for it once), followed by the younger of the boys not too terribly long after (he never did get out of prison - he had 7 kids over the course of a few relationships - most of whom turned out just fine).  The oldest of the girls is still with us.  My husband grew up being told that she was bad, and to avoid her.  And yes, she has her issues, but she's not as bad as she was made out to be.  She had 2 kids.  Her oldest was killed in an accident when he was 16-ish.  The younger is the same age as my husband, and she has mental health issues that she doesn't receive any treatment for.  We tried with her a few times, but it was just too hard.  She has 4 kids.  I talk with some of them on occasion.  The grandmother got custody of the oldest boy's son and raised him.  Sadly, no one even knows where he is.  I had some inkling that his family was messed up when I married him, but it took years and many sessions of counseling to get to just how disturbing it was.  Out of all of the grandkids, my husband and his brother are the only ones who never had children.  We were never able, and his brother said he never wanted to bring kids into the world with their background.  His cousins from his youngest aunt realized that their family dynamic was messed up and tried to do better with their kids (and the all turned out pretty well), but they themselves are extremely full of the drama, and we had to just separate ourselves.  I wish them well, but it's not worth the toxic nightmares.

They did mention it, but not the lawsuit, or that the officer was arrested.  And you're right - it should have been mentioned.  I wouldn't have known if you didn't say it.  I will give Shirley one side eye, though.  I'm sorry her son did this and put her through all of this by his actions, but she didn't need to use the credit card to buy gifts.

I agree. However, I heard on the program that she most definitely was there. Her fingerprint was there. They didn't mention that it was planted. They didn't mention that she wasn't the only person who the trooper had planted evidence against. It kind of makes you wonder about the whole case. If they lied about that... And I really think that they lied because they killed her son and he couldn't go to prison... What else would they lie about?

  10. I was watching village of the dammed and I wonder why they didn't talk about the trooper planting evidence against Shirley Kinge? She won a $250,000 lawsuit and he went to jail. Her son was killed by the police. As a Black person, I side eye all of this, and I wonder why they leave so much pertinent information out.

They sort of glossed over the process used but it is a process that adoptees use all the time to discover their birth parents. It's not about finding her actual parents DNA in the database (although that can happen rarely). It's about studying your more distant matches: the 2nd, 3rd and 4th cousins that indicate you have a shared ancestor. It's a painstaking process but it involves looking through those matches trees and determining the common ancestor. You essentially need to triangulate your matches and by comparing them to each other to determine which lines they belong to. You might have to build out family trees for some of the matches in order to connect them to each other. Once you determine the right set of great grandparents then you have to build their tree downwards by identifying their children and spouses and the rest of their descendants. It's much easier when you have a closer match, say a 2nd cousin because then you know you share a set of great grandparents (2 out of 8 possible ancestors) as opposed to a 4th cousin, who share a set of of great great great parents, which is 2 out of 32 possible ancestors.

I'd be interested to know what the closest match was for Tea's mom.

Also, I am a member of CeCe Moore's Facebook group (she is the genetic genealogist who did this search and works with a lot of adoptees to find their family). She posted that Tea's grandmother was still alive and the show arranged a reunion with the family. I can understand them wanting to do this off-camera but I was surprised the show did not mention it as postscript.

Have you ever heard of Lori Erica Ruff? They did something like that to find her identity.

I found Tea Leoni story fascinating.

I was just about to respond on how Peter gets the women. How old is he? 62? The man looks good, and he ages well. He may drag you to the gutter, but if a good time in the bedroom is what you're looking for, I bet he can give it to you on your way down there.  Peter has that look about him...reminds me of my ex. The kind that can give you one look, and you know that he will have you searching for him in the daylight with a flashlight... "where Peter?"

Sheree, girl, just say no. Prison men at your age, hell any age are a no-no! You're using your money! If you're not, you will be soon. There's no telling how many other Bae's he has. That's for the birds. Just pitiful. NO girl, just NO. It's not a good look. At least he gets to see her weekly.

I used to find Kim somewhat entertaining but as soon as she started going off on Kenya about the whole "old eggs" things, it made me sick to my stomach.  As a 43 year old who still hopes to have kids someday (and who underwent egg freezing at 39), I'm particularly sensitive to the plight of older women who still wish to have children of their own.  It goes to show Kim's insensitivity to that, thinking that she's saying something funny when it's offensive not just to Kenya but to many viewers who are in similar situations.  And her recent post she did where she had her oldest daughter flash her breast is disgusting.  She's really about pimping her children out by any means necessary.

NeNe needs to find another job.  She said she was through with the show years ago, yet she's back again for that paycheck. That house must be a rental.  I guess Bravo thinks that she makes for good TV.  Surprised they haven't had her speak to the Uber rape comment she made to the audience member at her comedy show which resulted in her losing her opening act gig with Xscape.  I guess they were thinking that the news would eventually die down.

    Cynthia's man is hot.

    Ace is adorable.

Don't let that pig in lipstick make you feel some type of way! I had my first at 41. I got pregnant with #2 at 42. However, sadly that ended in a miscarriage. I'm 42 now and trying for #3. No doctor ever told me that I was too old. Never give up!

Sheree looked like an extra on Orange is the New Black in that grey sweats ensemble. Was that her way of paying homage to Tyrone?

I have been watching Who Killed Tupac? It does have some interesting information and I'm learning a few things I din't know. I didn't know the whole background on the whole East Coast/West Coast rivalry. My only issue with it is that a lot of the people they talk to are just saying what they think happened and there is no real concrete proof of anything.

I'm watching it also. My friend Lolita Files is involved. I'm still not sure who killed Pac, but I sure do miss him.
