  1. I hate to talk about a woman's looks, especially since I'm a few months from being halfway in my 40s, but my God Helen Hunt didn't have to do that to her face. There's nothing wrong with a few lines, and there's nothing wrong with a little work. Emphasis on little.

I'll be back after I'm done with all of the episodes.

Funny how I thought the coverage of this historic moment was last night, when the actual historic moment was happening.

Maybe if Joe & Mika weren't the pariahs of MSNBC, they would have been asked to join the panel last night.   Shows how little they're thought of, other hosts do double duty for big events, while they barely show up for their own show.

I guess the good news is the next two weeks they'll be off, I can't imagine Mika working thru the holidays.

I've always wondered why the ex congressman wasn't on MSNBC primetime.

I loved how when Mike Barnicle smugly asked Sen. Tim Kaine some Biblical question (I forget what it was), he gave Barnicle a Sunday school lesson about Job.

This was the only part of the show I caught today. I like Tim Kaine.

I'm about a billion years late in creating this (okay, more like a month late), but whatever:

    Back by popular demand! 🙂

Airs Wednesday, December 18th, 2019 at 8-9:30 PM Eastern time on ABC.

For those of you who don't know: Good Times was a spinoff of AITF's OTHER spinoff series, Maude, where the late Esther Rolle played the title character's first of three housekeepers, Florida Evans.

Ty! I've been trying to find the date. I can't wait!

Can you tell me about what was missinformation? Was it something I said in my yearlier post? I have been reading because it disturbed me so if you can clarify that I would be so thankfull =). I really want to know what it's missinformation about what I read and have been told by the docuseries.

Go to Lipstick Alley there's long a thread with a lot of info.

Kelly has been in jail for months and those girls aren't going home. Someone made a fake Paetron account using one of the girls names. You can find them on Instagram still in love. 😑 It's just all so tragic.

    R. Kelly was molested as a child by his sister and other adult men and women. Part of it included recording. It's all a tragedy, but jail he deserves.

Twitter was enjoying this over the weekend.  Michael Che on SNL said "if you have to flush your toilet 10 times, might as well just grab whatever's in there and throw it out the window".

I'm surprised one of them hasn't tried to smother the other with a pillow.

Joe loves his rants. He rants so much that even I think that he's taunting Trump. I guess if Trump tweets about you ratings go up.

I do love my morning joe with Morning Joe.

I'll see my way out for that bad pun.

I wish you could insert GIFs in your post, because I would insert the one with an arrow pointing upward and the girl saying, "ALL THIS"  When Meeka reads an article, and not just the telepromptHer, she is so dramatic and breathey.  It bothers me.  It's like everything is a Trump GOTCHA--yeah right, they got him, yeah sure.

I'm gonna miss Maya Rudolph doing Kamala Harris.  Spot on.

I can't NOT see Maya when I see Kamala.

I watch this every morning. On Wednesday my husband asked me what's going on with those two? She's always rolling her eyes at him. He goes on these long rants and I just watch her roll her eyes at him. They need to be in a relationship.

I broke it all down for him and he was shocked that they were still married.

I can't remove the quote box, but Paul's mother looks younger than Helen Hunt. At worse they look the same age. I don't see Mrs. Buckman dating a Black man. I just don't. I can see Mark in a interracial relationship.

Wait, Mrs. Buckman was the ambassador to Ghana... 😂 That I can see her saying.

  8. It feels like home. That's all I'm saying.

I just started. I don't know why I have warm feelings for Paul... But I do.

    Mr. Wickman is still living!

Mark and Fran divorced after their nest got empty.

A show about nothing feels kind of a good in a world filled with... Something... Things... This show just feels like my early adulthood.

BTW I can't be the only Black person who loved this show. Everyone loves Frasier (you wouldn't believe the love that Kelsey Grammar gets from the Black community. Most from a show called Girlfriends) but I have yet to find a MAY fan.

Mark's new wife is a therapist....

The Mr. Smathers episode and Carlene's apartment are side-splitting hysterical to me. I also love the two-part season opener where Alison first arrives and is pissing everyone off, and Julia finally calls her from within the office to privately go off on her and turn Alison's annoying "bird on your head" analogy around on her.  I mean, season six definitely isn't the show's prime, but definitely had some great episodes.

The huge desk was funny too. I thought that by season 6 and 7 Anthony was a really strong character. However, his best episoded were with Suzanne. For Dixie Carter to not believe any of her 'liberal' rants she sure sold it. I've been going off a la Julia Sugarbaker style since the 90s.

I had to stop watching once the dreadful Season Six began.  I realize that the cast departures were unavoidable, but the show really lost its way with Julia Duffy/Jan Hooks/Judith Ivey.  Independently, they were all fine actresses, but horribly mis-cast and mis-used.

Seasons 3/4/5 were some of the best TV of that era. A great mix of silly and not-so-silly. And despite all the behind-the-scenes upheaval, the cast sparkled.

It's too bad they rushed into trying to re-create the foursome.  They should have added Sheryl Lee Ralph much much sooner, perhaps as a partner rather than trying to extend Meshach Taylor's 15 minutes of fame.   Alice Ghostley brought the best mix of charm and dizzy.  From what I recall, they rushed to get her back on the air when the Duffy/Hooks additions were spiraling toward disaster.  They should have never used Jan Hooks as Charlene's sister.  She would have played much better as a bookish know-it-all than some divorced country hayseed.

I loved season 6. Mr. Smathers will never not be funny. Carlene's first apartment... Funny stuff.

I also find BJ Poteet funny.

Antenna TV is adding Designing Women to their schedule in January 2020! I only have vague memories of the old Lifetime reruns as a kid. I'm looking forward to watching this show as an adult; I've always had a soft spot for Jan Hooks and Annie Potts!

It's on Hulu. I've been binging the past few weeks. This show is good enough to watch 5x.

Ok, I looked up what this meant.  It truly is a wonder that we are still alive . . . good grief.

Maybe you read something differently that you can point me to, but my Google says chicken is washed in chlorine. I admit, I don't follow the CDC rules, I was all of my meat. Including steak... I need a good reason to cut out meat and if I tell this to my h, we can go meatless.

I can't believe that we watch this show every morning. I missed it yesterday, but I will watch today for sure.

  13. I don't want to make a new topic... But I'm reading Prairie Fires and I'm not liking Rose at all. The way that she treated her parents bother me. She wouldn't even visit her father before his death. She was not a nice person.

Despite the plot inaccuracies and horrid acting, I have to say I didn't totally hate it. It's the best of the bunch so far and there was a little more depth to the scenes, particularly the final showdown between Fanny and Heaven. I also enjoyed Kelly Rutherford's portrayal of Jillian. It's a bummer they let her go to waste in the previous movie.

I thought the same thing. It was the most true to the book.

Troy's emo tantrums would've annoyed the shit out of me as well. Seriously, who opens a window and waits for pneumonia because their girlfriend is a few days late returning home? A simple check of the weather reports would've told him there were bad storms in West Virginia and Heaven couldn't get a flight out.

Exactly! I feel as if he played with her emotions. Then he kept his depression guarded... I thought that he was gay, and yes I know that he clarified that, but dude...

I listened to a podcast on Dark Angel. It's all fresh in my mind.
