Bolding mine:  most families do not want to believe their loved one killed themselves.  Mindy was a hot mess and her family was.....odd.

Marvin Gaye was a suicide by murder. He was such a troubled man, it's the one biography that I can't read.

The Farrah Fawcett episode made me cry. Not because I was a big fan. I wasn't. Just watching her suffer was heartbreaking. I understand her not wanting to lose her hair, nor wanting a colostomy bag, but it was still heartbreaking to watch. Ryan O'Neal sucks

My DVR didn't record Mindy's episode. Her family says that Harvey W. raped her and they alluded to him having her killed. They do not believe that she committed suicide.

    Where's the Mindy episode?

The Mana Cass episode made me cry. Aww man. How sad. RIP Mama Cass. I'm so happy to see that her daughter grew up just fine.

She sure did say the reason why another white woman wasn't on the show was because they weren't dumb enough to come on the show.  So Kim knows EXACTLY why she was on RHOA in the first place.

During the Eva birthday party episode Kroy seemed to be having a good time with the rest of the cast.  He was very pleasant with Eva and laughing along with everyone else at Nene and Gregg's costumes.  I wondered then if perhaps it wasn't Kroy that distanced Kim from the rest of the cast but if it was KIM who wanted to distance herself from the cast and used Kroy to do it.  What she just said to Andy about another white woman wouldn't be dumb enough to do the show just confirms to me that Kim wanted the distance from the black women and used Kroy to do it and used Sweetie and Sheree to protect herself against claims of racism.

The fact that Andy let that be shown on TV was a signal to the African American viewership of RHOA that Kim would NOT be back.

And when Kim said "real racism" that was the exact moment Sheree knew she had played for the wrong team.  AGAIN.

You could see the look on Andy, Sheree, and Kroy's face when she said that. Kroy better see if NFL TV will hire him or perhaps a local station. I don't see them having their show for much longer.

The nerve of Kim. Good riddance! Maybe Holly Robinson Peete can join RHOBH or something, because although I don't watch any other housewives shows, I am quite sure that they don't include a Black housewife. Not that it matters, but since Kim brought up the fact that 'no other White woman would sit on that stage next to those women' or something like that. I'm quite sure that there are plenty of White women who would love to join the cast of RHOA.

I know HBO has money coming out of their sphincters, but it still amazes me the kind of shit Ollie can get away with in using their money. It's like he's embezzling it for his own purposes - or not exactly his own, as in the case last night.

It was painful watching all those clips of that fucking idiot Ari Melber quoting rappers and their lyrics. One of his guests should just grab him by the scruff of the collar and yell into his face, on live TV, "Knock it the fuck off, white boy!"

White boys can't like and quote raps? I didn't even know G. Eazy was White? Can you really tell these days?

I ♥ Ari Mebler? Am I the only person in the fan club?

What I liked about the bit with Ari Melber was that in each clip when he started to quote some lyrics or mention a rapper, many of the guests started to smile or laugh like, "Oh geez, here he goes again."

I didn't think Cardi B going on and on about her fucking taxes was funny. She just sounded ignorant to me and very conscious of saying "fucking" to get attention.

I get so pissed about corporations and individuals avoiding taxes in this way. I don't know if I understand what John said was a possible way to deal with it: have all countries use the same rate?

In that one clip of Trump in front of the Christmas tree, did he actually say "plum-bers"? Sounded like he pronounced the silent B.

Requiring reporters to shout the all-caps words in Trump's tweets definitely should be a law.

Cardi B is a umm idiot. I can't stand the way she talks. She may be perfectly intelligent, but I will never know because of her voice. I'm so judgey. :/

Ari Mebler is kind of like the running joke. There's one lady, she's older, worked in Watergate. She started learning rap quotes to say back to him. So you have this little old white lady, and this youngish Jewish guy quoting rap lyrics on MSNBC in the middle of the day. Fun times.

Thank you John for pointing out Ari Melber's obsession with rap.  I thought I was the only person being driven crazy by this.

I try to like him but he can be a little bit of a dick sometimes to his guests, he tried to get the former editor of the NYT and Mike Lupica who writes for NYDN to argue by insulting Lupica's paper they both had this "WTF" look on their faces, like "is this why we're here?"

And please Ari, shut up about rap.  You look like an idiot.  That one black guy in the piece, I guess he's a rapper, laughing his ass off, and other members of his panel with the "great here he goes again".

was that a Trump tweet? JFC

Ari Mebler rocks! Actually, he draws a moderate hip hop audience. They play ads on hip hop stations on Sirius/XM radio for his show. I like him, and he's not forcing it, and he knows what he's talking about. Read his interview in the Source.

Yeah, I think medical examiner determined that she didn't die from falling down the stairs, but, from being beaten.

The real medical examiner said that he had never seen a beating that didn't effect the bones. I just watched the Dateline episode, and I don't think that the state could have proved murder. It was NOT Peterson who came up with the owl theory. It was actually the police, who used to joke about it. A neighbor is who kept pushing it to Peterson brother who is a lawyer. The neighbor had a owl problem and knew of 2 people in the neighborhood who had been attacked in similar ways (one person appeared on Dateline) by owls. The brother then reexamined the evidence and found the owl feathers in her hands and in her hair, and so on.

Personally, I think that she was attacked by a owl, she did fall down the stairs.... But it didn't kill her. Peterson took the opportunity to finish the job. Or did nothing and watched her die.

Wasn't the first death a neighbor and not his wife? Why would someone kill their neighbor for their kids? That doesn't make sense. The nanny and friend says there was a lot of blood, but the police says something different. I believe the police. ??‍♀️

Oh and I believe the guy on Autopsy. Natalie Woods was not killed. I wish that they would stop with that.

  7. Forbidden: Dying for Love. OMG, a man is on death row in Texas for a murder that he didn't commit, and it's Texas, and he's Black, so it's most likely that he will die. I'm so angry. This is a tragedy. One that can't be fixed because we don't have a fair and partial court system.

  8. I loved the show too. I wish that Sylvia was a permanent host, she was hilarious. I thought Nicole was channeling Oprah in some of her over the topness which I found funny. I watched 5 of the 6 episodes, and I'll watch a 2nd season. The title is what got me. Despite being a 7+ year Netflix subscriber, they don't send me a notice of new shows.

I do not but it sounds tragic.

Watched Forbidden last night about a niece and her uncle. She was illegitimate so never a part of the family. They have an affair and everyone is upset. They move to Belize and he ends up dead.

I didn't understand this because first it is incest and she gave up her children for this relationship. It seems a very steep price. I just thought she was so defiant. This is pretty rareI think. I know first cousins marry.

That was all types of eww. She was allegedly sleeping with her attorney.

I remember hearing rumors she was pregnant, but I can't seem to find anything to confirm that from any legit news source at this time.  I see lots of gossip sites, and tabloids, but that's it.  I could be wrong - I don't have time to do a deep search.  CPS did an investigation after the fact, and concluded she was neglectful, but too little too late.  She was convicted of 4 or 5 counts of lying to police, but that's a slap on the wrist.  She was also sued by a number of people, including the woman she claimed was Caylee's nanny (that case was thrown out) and a company who donated their time to search for Caylee.  The lawsuit said that Casey knew she was already dead, and the cost for their service exceeded$75,000, and they wanted reimbursed.  They won the suit, but they'll never collect that.  I don't know if that suit came before or after she filed for bankruptcy.

I do remember that photo of that little boy.  I thought it was so sweet.  That breaks my heart.  We were never able to have children, and it really hurts when I see women kill their "unwanted" kids.  Someone else would love to have a child.

His mom's adopted him. They adopted 5 other kids. All are gone. There were allegations if abuse and neglect. The kids were knocking on doors saying that they were hungry. Just sad all the way around. They could have spared the kids.

I never got into Roseanne, the just never captured my interest. The actress is a horrible person. I don't pal around with racist, so I can't watch this show.

  11. Didn't Casey have another child? Do they watch her? Because she is guilty of neglect....and murder, but they didn't find her guilty. I think that they only found her guilty of neglect. Now she's parenting another child?

Remember the viral picture of the black boy hugging a police officer in Portland? His mom's alleged drove him and his 5 siblings off of a cliff. They were being monitored by CPS.

Yes.... that owl story was nuts. Owl’s outside, she’s inside... with her crazy husband.

Wasn't she painting upstairs in a room with the window open that owls were known for being outside of? If I recall correctly, they found owl nest right outside her painting room. There were feathers found in the house, and in that room.. In her hand. He could have planted the feathers there....

Also I don't think that she was leaving him, or rather he didn't know. I think that she was fine with his bisexuality.

Did you see the huge amount of blood?

Yes, I've never said that I 100% believe the owl theory. I have seen experts give convincing testimony for it.

I don't know what newspaper you've read, but the fireplace poker was never missing. It was sitting in the same place before the death of Kathleen and after. The prosecution lied. That's why there were 2 trials. Many experts have said that the owl theory holds water. She was almost scalped, her defensive wounds were pulling her own hair. Evidence of a beating? You mean the evidence that the unqualified medical examiner who did the first autopsy made up or left out? You know he was the cause for the entire trial being thrown out... So yes, I am willing to reserve judgment, but that's moot. He pleaded guilty or no contest.

There's also the story about Mike Peterson, also convicted of murdering his wife in Durham, NC, coming on soon.   It happened near me and I've seen a lot on it over the years. Not sure if I'll watch the new one. It's pretty shocking.  She was found at the bottom of their staircase, though her death was due to beating, not falling.  (Surprisingly, a female friend of Mike also died the same way many years earlier in Germany. He was the last to see her alive.)   He's an unlucky guy.

I believe in the owl theory. I've watched a lot of programs on that case. He was a jerk, and he probably would have caused a accident, but there was evidence of a owl attack.

I do think that he killed the 1st wife or was it a family friend?

Phoenix is a boy.  There was much speculation when that show first aired that she was trying to replace Ella and didn't seem to care that she had a boy.

Wow! I can see that happening... Gross. OMG. Someone call social services! Her and Kyla made up and she lives next door to her. I went back and read the commentary that you guys had... The entire family is a mess. I see a Bennett trucking, but I'm not sure if they still own it, or if Kyla cashed out. Did anyone read the stepson's lawsuit?

I watched Drew Peterson... What a piece of work! I was living in Chicago when Stacie went missing Err was murdered. I remember the arrogance, and how smug him and his lawyers were. He's now in FED prison, Illinois said that they felt like he was a danger to the state... Since he tried to have the state's attorney killed. Good riddance. I'm convinced that he killed both women, and he would have continued to kill.

I wasn’t going to watch the 4 parter on EARS/ONS/GSK (man, he’s got a lot of nicknames) for this very reason. But I did after tricking myself into thinking he won’t come east and he’s got to be old (if still alive).  I would love for them to solve it after all this time. All of his victims need justice.

That’s also why I dislike the show Diappeared. No resolutions and no justice.

I find myself maddling googling while watching Disappeared. I haven't watched all of the episodes, so I watch when I have time.

I read The Stranger Beside Me by Ann Rule when I was a teenager, I couldn't sleep for days. Then I thought about it, I'm fat and black, totally not his type I'm safe... And then I got to the end of the book and saw that he was dead. What a relief. ??

I finally watched The Family I Had. OMG. This family... So many problems. Charity's dad was married to her aunt first... I wonder if that's why Kyla had him killed. She did it, that 'I don't have a jury to charm...' lucky for her there's no double jeopardy...

Is Phoenix a girl or a boy? I saw earrings, but then he/she was in blue. Charity being happy that Paris can't see Phoenix should tell her something. I don't know how I would feel, but I think that if my son tried to kill me, and then killed my daughter, I would have to sever the relationship. He still has problems! Wanting killer porn... Kyla was a piece of work.

Co-defendant Carlos Ortiz said (after Aaron’s trial but before his own) that Aaron and Odin were the only two that got out of the car at the industrial park and only Aaron came back.

Prior to Odins murder, Aaron also shot another ‘friend’ in the eye at an industrial park in FL. But Alex Bradley refused to press charges or cooperate with the police, although I think he tried later to sue Aaron.

I thought the 2 episode show was really good. Much better than James Patterson’s book on the case, which I didn’t like at all. I still don’t like Baez, although I did agree with him about the gay thing and the talk show hosts and reporter. And I didn’t like the inference that just because he may have had CTE, he could just go around killing people. And he was allegedly trouble w/the law in Florida during his college years so I don’t know why the NFL would get all the CTE blame anyways. I guess the NFL just has the deeper pockets.

I do wonder what the fiancé is doing now. Just living on the rest of his money?  Still fighting w/the Patriots for all his back money?  Still living in that house?

Oh I also really liked the college girlfriend who said she wasn’t going to sit around being an NFL wife. Unlike Shayanna, who may have loved him, but let him running around doing whatever he wanted with whatever woman.

I found the college girlfriend dubious. I didn't see any evidence of him having said that he was molested. So what if his fiance wanted to be a football wife? It's better than being a bitter ex girlfriend... I also didn't see his admission to being gay in her letter.

Fiancé had a lot of nerve to think that her sister should have been on Aaron's side when he was present when her fiancé was killed. So what that she knew Aaron since she was a teen... He was on trial for the murder of the person she loved!

I too found the reporter and dj's foul. How could you be so callous towards someone if your words may have caused their death?

Was he gay? I don't know. I don't care. Not my business. Did he kill Odin? I don't know. I do think that if he wasn't who he was everyone would have been charged with murder. The dude who got shot in the eye... I don't care who you are, you don't just let someone shoot you in the eye. Not even in the streets. There had to be something behind that. Missing money or jewelry... Lovers quarrel...

EARS/ONS doesn't interest me. For some reason, I only like solved serial killer cases. Otherwise I'm just scaring the crap out of myself because they could still be out there... And I could be next. ???

Right, I know, but since they're under the impression that they are, I feel like it makes more sense to give them the same hair color. Otherwise where is the surprise element for non book readers that Tony is her real father? Heaven already sounds like she's going to be the proverbial (non) redheaded stepchild when we're supposed to wonder why Luke would hate his only child from Heaven. I feel like the non book reading audience is going to pick this up from the jump based on casting alone. (Although I'm remembering now that Tony and Jilliam don't appear until the second book.)

I'm curious as to how the movie will handle the plot with Fanny and Reverend Wayland. I can't imagine that they'll run with the idea that 14(?) year old Fanny supposedly seduced the good reverend. At least Heaven understood that Fanny was the victim and that the Waylands were sick and criminal hypocrites. I can't remember if they kicked Famny out or if she left of her own accord. Do we ever find out how Fanny's first kid turns out? Did she ever see her again?

Also, when do we find out that Luke II is Logan's son? Is it in Fallen Hearts or Gates of Paradise?

That's the thing that sets Heaven apart, the fact that she looks different than everyone. You are suppose to notice. The movie should start off showing you Heaven's difference, remember Granny tells Heaven about her Mother and gives her the portrait doll.

On 3/22/2018 at 6:54 AM, ElectricBoogaloo said:

I feel like they're probably going to tone Fanny down because of her age. She's pretty young for most of the first book. She's 11 or 12 years old at the beginning of the first book, 12 or 13 when she is sold, and 16 at the end of the first book when she's pregnant with Darcy. She's only a year younger than Heaven so they can't age her up without messing up Heaven's age and the later plotlines (like being in high school when she moves to Boston).

Fanny should be 2 years younger than Heaven. Tom is exactly 9 months younger than Heaven. It may be a little less.. But Luke was cheating on his precious Angel it is implied.

In the history of reality TV, I think BB is the only show without a Black winner. The only show with open racism, and maybe that's why I haven't watched in about 5 years. Since Dick Donato's 1st season (is he still alive) they need to do something, or maybe not. Maybe the goal ISN'T to attract minority viewers. Smh.
