  1. Sorry to stray so far off-topic, but for people who want grain-free bread, try "Oopsie Rolls" which originated from the www.yourlighterside.com site. Can be adapted into multiple forms--hamburger buns, cinnamon rolls, etc. My best tip to share. You can't believe how tasty and satisfying.
  2. Me, too. Not for celiac syndrome, but because Wheat Belly made a lot of sense to me. (I can see firsthand that "fields of waving grain" don't exist anymore.) I wouldn't watch a show or follow advice from that stick, though. HFF! Healthy Fats Forever!
  3. The Iron Islanders are a fickle bunch. Yara? No, Theon. Okay, Yara. Yara! Wait . . . Urine!! Seeing Jon strap on his new wolfpelt topper made me laugh a little. He already wears that giant black yak cape and he's sort of a slim figure to start out with. I didn't need seven shots of Arya looking sour while she watched the play. Way to maintain your cover, A Girl. Then she goes back and reports the target seems nice enough, so . . .? But, wait, can I pick out a face, 'cuz that would be fun. Arya, did you just meet Jaquen H'gar yesterday? The best part of the segment was Arya getting her ass kicked by the mean girl. Before the season started, I saw so many articles about the huge budget, the thousands of extras and the complicated choreography for the bigger, better, more realistic battles. For my money, we'd be better served by more dragon and direwolf action. FFS, who decided to eliminate the direwolves one after another? Aren't most people in it for the fantasy stuff rather than the epic battle vistas? This episode left me sad and cranky.
  4. Ooph, I'd forgotten this thing has all the depth of the morning dew. Interesting that I don't think I've ever seen tv people fret over a young rich handsome doctor-type because he hasn't yet made a marriage commitment. Usually it's high fives all 'round for the lucky swordsman. Oh wait, "unfulfilled childbearing vessel" alert, so we're coming out eveners. I'm in favor of child services stepping in since the sister is "too scared" to try lifting the bike up off her kid brother. The Lifetime Movie kid units generally display more grit.
  5. It tickles me to think that Elton John is a fan of Nashville--sitting over there with the hubs, watching illegally downloaded episodes from Pirate Bay. But it does make sense because there were multiple aspects of his life reflected along the way. We're always here if you want to chat it up, Reggie.
  6. That was exactly the sort of pickle Jack Tripper would have bumbled his way into. And that's why Jack Tripper revolutionizing the communications industry would have been a reach no one bought.
  7. I was aware, but that was my first time to hear someone really say it. Sigh, my life is so remote. I like to support any woman who weighs more that 103 pounds and faces down a television camera, but oh shit, "smidgeons"? Noooo. They would have to drone in a still-warm bite of that Cuban dish to convince me it was delicious. That "never been in a professional kitchen" Real Housewife was lucky only one thing on the stove burst into flames. She was so egregious, I think they had to have Bobby kvell and declare hers the "best dish of the night" to justify keeping her. I also suspect the little slivers of cod were dried out beyond redemption and artificially praised. Bye, Havird. "These cahds ah mahked."
  8. I liked that dog and wanted him to stick around in the story. He was a playa.
  9. Opposite here. So far, I've passed on Hardwick working himself into a faux FTWD lather, but this time I want to see him try. I expect to spot little bottles of five hour energy drink littering the set. ROTFL
  10. You know, I think I don't really dislike this show, except that the Madison character is KILLING me and she's so central to everything, I'm having trouble getting past it. Take the scene where Madison slowly backs out of the cell and slowly pulls the doors together, observing Celia for a moment. She's damn lucky Celia's reaction is to slowly turn around and stand there cranking out the hint of a tear because THEN Madison slowly reaches down and turns the key in the lock. Slow-mo was also her method acting of choice when the whole place is going up in flames, the zombies are bearing down on them, Strand is revving the getaway truck, her daughter is screaming at her and she sees her missing son is safe, off in the distance. And I'm not a fan of the "fart smell" comparison point, but Madison does perpetually wear an expression that suggests she's offended by something somewhat. . . distasteful.
  11. Is this whole conflagration just to dispose of those zoms? That wasn't a good plan. And usually this show is so sharp.
  12. Maddie will never be Rick, Lite or any otherwise. Did you see her thoughtfully lock that door in slow motion? Anyone besides Crzy Celia could have made it back out and reversed the situation. Pfft! Rick!
  13. Do not tell me fucking Wayward Pines got another season?!?!
  14. This makes me giggle. His goo is always so symmetrical. I'm sure they filmed all Nick's gore scenes at once.
  15. Well, I guess that's supposed to be shocking, but, umm, OF COURSE he has to make his addled son a priority.
  16. What happened to Travis' feet? I didn't see anything about that. This is a very slow MSF.
  17. Okay, let's review. I'm still sure Celia is a faithful retainer who became close with the family after years of service. What's with all the mi casa es no su casa?
