I'll look back on this season overall fondly.

I, on the other hand, will have forgotten everything about it by the weekend.  No shade on this group, but much as I love shows like this and Survivor, there's nothing about it to make it memorable, except that a woman accepted a proposal from a guy she should have run from.

As hard as successive people have tried to make a run for it this season, giving up immunity has to be almost by definition the dumbest possible single move of all time and will never be topped. (Prove me wrong, Survivor!)

When I think of poor, sweet Erik being so dumb, I temper my disappointment by remembering Alex, Mookie and Edgardo having the smug wiped right off their faces.

Her triumph smiles remind me of Boston Rob's but it was okay if he smiled when he pulled a move cause he was a man.  But a woman smiling when she makes a big move and is happy about it apparently isn't allowed.

Shocking as it may seem, I don't dislike Maria because she is a woman.  I'm a woman.  I dislike her because she is smug and quite happy to let us know she considers herself the smartest person on the island (which in fairness, she might actually be)and her caterwauling last night after she didn't get reward was annoying.  I get it, you are allowed to be hurt even though you understand the decision, but, enough already.

I didn't like anything Boston Rob ever did, except for the times he was eliminated.

I'm starting to wonder if Charlie just pretended to be a Swifty since it's Taylor's big year and we don't expect young men to be big fans. It just seems really odd to me.

No question, it's odd for a guy to know anything about Taylor Swift, but I can't imagine anyone pretending to be a fan could play a game of 'name Taylor Swift songs' for hours.  In fact, I bet there are a lot of guys his age who can't name one (and old ladies like me who can't name one either.)

Oh, wait.......   Shake It Off  (or perhaps Up?)  Not gonna waste any time looking that up.

I'm impressed with Maria's game but I find it hard to like her. I want to (older woman kicking ass, yay!), but she's making it so hard!  It's the "You MUST do what I say!" approach that's such a turn-off,

This.  From the early episode where she went on the journey and got her back up because the guys lied to her in a game where the instructions were to lie, to her attack on Ben in the hidden scene, her gloating over Tiff's exit and at last night's reward challenge, 'make your case guys,' then when nobody would beg, her big speech about making sure everyone was fed then specifically not choosing any of the people who hadn't eaten, I get the distinct impression that this is one woman convinced her own shit doesn't stink.

I wish Kenzie had clued Tiffany in and hadn’t been pushing so hard for her to go.  She definitely seemed to be having second thoughts and I’m not sure why she thought it was a good move in the first place.

Had Kenzie told Tiff about the plan to vote her out, she would have achieved her goal of getting the idol out, and she and Tiff would still be an alliance.  If I'm one of the others, I now know Kenzie can't be trusted if she was willing to throw out her ride-or-die with 8 players still in the game.  That's the kind of move you pull at 5 or 6.  No way would I trust anything Kenzie says or does from now on.

I haven't liked Maria or Venus since the beginning and nothing they have done since has altered that opinion.

  8. I cannot believe Hunter was so dumb that he didn't play the idol.  He  looks like a guy who should be in Hallmark movies so I was enjoying watching him, but I couldn't believe how paranoid he was a tribal, then decided not to play the idol.

I think Maria is not as smart as she thinks she is and I hated the smarmy way she came at Ben in the hidden scene.

Venus is incredibly off-putting and it seems that everyone on that beach agrees.  She thinks she's running the show yet nobody wants to strategize with her, or really, even talk to her or spend any time with her.

What a disappointment of a season.  This has been the first time in many, many seasons that I don't worry about whether I get a chance to see the show on Wednesday night.  Of course, the fact that I don't know anyone who even watches the show anymore (other than all of you awesome folks) so there is no danger of overhearing spoilers could be part of it.

As someone who has watched enough Survivor to have used various winners as mnemonics for numbers

This.  I have watched every episode of every season since about Season 10, I couldn't tell you who won last year, never mind S25.  Of the three he named, I vaguely remember Denise, and would have bet money she didn't win.

  10. I'm not sure what type of lawyer Katurah is, but I would never want her representing me.  Imagine being charged with a crime and in her final summation, your lawyer senses the jury is leaning the other way, so she suddenly decides to go with the flow and announces that she thinks you should be convicted.

Yes.  We spent a few pages talking about her beautiful hair, but I don't think she got any screen time other than background.

@dleighg I also have grey hair.  I dye mine but you do you.  Why would you care what I think?  We don't even know each other.  My personal feeling is that grey hair ages people.  As do wrinkles and sagging.  Some people like to colour their hair or use cosmetic solutions to minimize wrinkles.  It's not 'expected,' it's a choice.  One everyone is free to make, and everyone is free to have an opinion on.

  12. How do you know unless you try?  Well, you don't.  So, I tried.

Having never watched a Bachelor/Bachelorette/Bachelor in Paradise show, not knowing anyone who did, not caring about how they worked or who won, I was sucked in by the old guy.  Because I'm old too.

I watched, and saw a handsome, older man who seemed friendly and excited and kind of overwhelmed by the attention.  I saw a lot of stunning older women who weren't afraid to show they could still be sexy and fun and would be a catch for anyone.  I also saw women who, while looking better than me, were not really anyone I would think would turn anyone's head.

Imagine my surprise when the one I automatically disliked because of her resemblance to the Kardashian mother, turned out to be the nicest, sweetest, most fun one there.  Also, one woman who had stunning long, grey hair (and I'm not fan of grey hair, long or short) and a natural beauty she was clearly comfortable with, alongside women who couldn't move their face because of the botox and fillers.

It started going downhill when I noticed women at the rose ceremony who had never been on camera before, not being offered a rose.  I would like to think Gerry met up with them, but there was no chemistry.  Surprising to me though that we didn't see any of that.  It continued downhill with the manufactured drama between Kathy and Theresa, someone with bad lipstick and no sense of how to read a room, or shut her mouth when it was clear she was setting people off.  I also didn't like Leslie, who moaned every week about whether or not Gerry looked at her or talked to her or looked at or talked to anyone else.  I was so disappointed when the two women I found least appealing, were chosen to be the two finalists.

I stopped watching once Garry went back to Leslie's room. It was clear at that point that he had picked Theresa, and I wasn't interested in Leslie's caterwauling or Theresa's smugness.

Well, now I know.  I won't watch the wedding, or read about it online.  I also won't watch a Golden Bachelorette, or any version of this show going forward.

After all that, I can say that I enjoyed every minute of coming to this board and reading everyone's comments.  It was much more enjoyable than watching the show.  So, thanks for that.

Austin less so, because I find his confessionals snooze-worthy, and don’t know why he hasn’t been targeted.

Because Dee calls all the shots, so much so that she can now announce that Austin is her #1, and still have people vote the way she wants.

No wonder she got that finance job over more qualified people.

What makes you think she got the job over more qualified people?  Others may have had more education or trading experience, but if she's making more money on her trades than they are on theirs, they're not more qualified.  She has all the certifications required for the position.

I didn't like production giving Katurah a letter from her mom if she has cut off contact. I'm assuming that was the cause of the panic attack at the immunity challenge.

Granted, I am not afraid of water, nor did I ever cut off contact with my mother, but this comment makes no sense to me.  So, she got a letter, then the next day, everything appeared to be fine but she suddenly thought to herself, 'oh yeah, I got a letter from my mother yesterday.  I'm afraid of water now!?'

I liked that she refused Jeff's offer of being boated back to shore and jumped in with the gang to swim back.

OK, this appears to make more sense to me.  I thought everyone was swimming to a boat but Jeff offered to have the boat come over to Katurah, and in the pan-out shot, the boat was nowhere to be seen!

Perhaps it's because there are fewer players now, and Reba clearly has control, which nobody appears to want to break up, but 90 minutes is starting to seem like too long per episode.

Too bad you didn't work in Canada.  Two retired teaches here could have bought mansions in both places, as well as an airplane to travel between the two (exaggerating, but not by much.)

I think he probably talked to Treeza all night, but I don't think Leslie would have let him go without pushing hard for a chance to show her sexy skills. After all, that seems to be how she sees herself, as the sexy dancer.  She wasn't already talking like Beevis and Butthead for nothing.

I think he had sex (or some serious petting) with Leslie but probably not with Theresa.  No particular reason for thinking that other than that seemed to be what they were alluding to (we were awake really late, it was a wonderful night, etc)

I can't tell if she just keeps her cards close or if she's not as into Gerry as he is her.

Oh, she's into Gerry.  I think every sentence out of her mouth had the words 'I love you' in it (as did Theresa's.)  Her gushing about how wonderful their night together was, the sex jokes, her sad staring off into the distance clip while he was with Theresa.  It's a continuation of the person she was during the season where she fretted constantly about whether Gerry would look at/talk to her or who he was looking at/talking to when he wasn't with her.

  18. When Theresa said, 'I love you,' and Garry replied, 'You know how I feel about you,' I thought that was the 'tell' that he had chosen Leslie.  Then he got into the blah blah blah about their conversation the night before and it seemed they had made some deep connection.

I think little Garry wants Leslie but big Garry is realizing that Theresa is probably a better match if he's looking for 'til death do them part.

Joan has been a favorite for many, she is putting out videos on social media and while she is a beautiful woman I don't find her interesting.

Is she that beautiful though?  I can't get past the frozen face and the lip licking (which are probably related.)  Not saying she wasn't pretty at one time, but there is nothing there today that I see that would cause me to say she was beautiful, and I can't believe there are that many non-Hollywood men who would think so either, given the amount of work.

I think he'l end up choosing Theresa purely because she's needy and it makes him feel big. Leslie is probably fun for him, but his preference seems to be someone who makes him the center of their world, and I don't see Leslie doing that.

I don't disagree about Theresa but given Leslie's behaviour during the season (every week we would have to listen to her fret about Garry not talking to her, or Garry not looking at her, or Garry not spending time with her or Garry being interested in someone else, or Garry not giving her a rose) I think she would definitely make Garry the centre of her world, maybe to the point where he feels suffocated and wants out.

I was cringing at Faith's sobbing, sorry.

I FF through it and couldn't believe how long it lasted.

I noticed 2 women at the WTA, sitting on either side of the Indian woman.  One in a black dress, one wearing lavender.  I have no memory of them from the show, nor did they get any direct camera views or opportunities to speak.  I'm sure it would be devastating enough to be eliminated early, but I'd be pissed it I bought another dress, had another set of hair extensions/botox injections and the show couldn't even be bothered to give me a 5-second clip.

What's with Dee' s lips? Too much silicone for my taste. And her behavior continues to be bitchy. I really dislike her.

As someone prone to coldsores and sun blisters (dealing with one right now) it looked to me like Dee had a couple of blisters on her lips.

I agree with your characterization of her as bitchy.  She seems to get something in her head and there is no dissuading her from it, like imagining Sifu had an idol.  Where did she get that idea?  Who knows, but woe betide anyone trying to change her mind.  And as someone said earlier, she seems to think that since she won immunity, everyone has to listen to her.
