  1. Superheroes revealing their secret identities is such a bad trope, there's a reason if it didn't stick very long for Spider-Man Realistically she'll never have a normal life again, she'll be the biggest celebrity on Earth, there will be fans and paparazzis everywhere she goes, she can't be a journalist anymore because her objectivity will be questioned by everybody She won't have a private life and she's seriously deluded if she thinks she'll be able to date someone who won't have second thoughts about her being Supergirl And there's the little thing about all her love ones being a target, Alex is a dead woman walking You can really see the thing where the writers said that's sound cool and didn't put any thoughts into it
  2. I found the movie pretty good, as always with JJ there were a few things that didn't make much sense or were contrived especially concerning the Emperor but the emtional moments worked for me and I liked Rey's story. As for the negative critics I feel like a lot of them had already decided they were going to dislike the movie before even seeing it, especially for the ones who loved the Last Jedi and see TROS as a rebuttal of it
  3. I wouldn't be surprised at all if SG ends next year, having both Supergirl and Superman on air at the same time will be costly, the ratings are down, the original contracts will also end with s6 and renewing them would mean more money. Lot of signs
  4. -I don't think Nia understand the concept of a secret identity, if she gives every little details about her life on TV it's not a secret identity anymore -James better not keep these powers for long -Alex is stuck with her new love interest and doesn't interact with Kara anymore -the relation between Kara and Lena consists of Kara passing 90% of her time apologizing for things she's not responsible or reassuring Lena that she's a good person, this is not a good look for Kara
  5. Now that the status of Jesse Rath and Jeremy Jordan is confirmed the only point of interrogation is knowing if Chris Wood is leaving entirely or if he'll take a similar deal than Jeremy
  6. Brainy had only one trait of personality this season, being like a machine who talks in statistics and doesn't understand humans emotions or jokes. They'll need to change a lot about him because I can't imagine Jonn, Alex or even Kara putting up with him for long before they try to kill him
  7. they are casting three new characters for next season, the article doesn't say if some of them are regular or if they're all recurring http://thathashtagshow.com/2018/05/exclusive-manchester-black-supergirl-season-4/
  8. If the CW and the Supergirl don't want a PR disaster on their hands they really need to find a real transgender actress for the role. By the way, the casting notice came with cast list for the show that confirms the spoilers circulating around for next year, Jesse Rath is described as a regular and Chris Wood and Jeremy Jordan are nowhere to be found.
  9. I was dreading a James centric but it was better than expected, they did a good job to integrate it with the other stories though I still think it's too late in the season for this story and James' struggle over his identity of Guardian would work better if we saw him more than two times this season. I don't understand why everybody is so severe with Supergirl, her fear of kryptonite is perfectly normal and she still apologized and said she overreacted, the only wrong thing she did was asking James to spy on Lena, she also apologized for that. Meanwhile, Lena hid important information, lies repeatedly and never apologizes for anything because she considers that when she's the one doing it's for a good reason. She's a giant hypocrite who loves presenting herself as a victim. The return of Mike Matthews! First time of the season that Chris Wood is allowed to have some fun, not having the legion around to bring him down is doing a lot of good for Mon-El The moral of this episode was very forked up, after being told repeatedly by the show that honesty is essential we are now being told by several characters that lying is something noble if you're doing it to protect others and wanting to say the truth is selfish so you should keep everything inside you even if it hurts you.
  10. Since it's a shortened season I wouldn't be surprised if they hold off the show until 2019 to have it on air when Avengers 4 is released
  11. Two very good episodes to come back, Carl Lumbly and David Harewood are heartbreaking together and I'm glad that he's getting the material he deserves Same for Sam, Odette Annable continues to impress me and elevates what the writers give her I was left perplexed by the Kara/Mon-El part of the story, Kara talking about Mon-El's time at Catco or their first training was very random as these events all happened at the beginning of season 2 way before they were even dating, it's not a good look for her character. If the writers wanted to take a good honest look at their relationship maybe they should have made them talk about things that happened while they were in a relationship. Cape magic is fun but I didn't think that it would become so important in their fight against Reign
  12. It was a tiny bit better than the other mytho episodes but still a big mess. - The new syndicate is just blown up by William without doing anything useful, the smocking man killed without any word about his virus, so what was the point of this new mythology? - Reyes unceremoniously killed by Skinner, she didn't have more than 2 words in the episode and we'll never know her motivations for siding with CSM - Scully once again separated from Mulder and passing most of the episode at the phone in distress. I don't remember Carter treating the character so badly in the original version, what happened? -No emotions, the reunion between Mulder and William was treated as a plot point, I felt nothing and then he dies and Scully doesn't care for the child she missed so much because he was just an experiment and she already has a replacement waiting so no big deal. - Why is Mulder so trigger happy in this version? he just kills persons without asking questions or anything. And William just blows up people when he's not busy pitting his girlfriends against each other, Carter really didn't want us to like this kid.
  13. Jacen actually, the name of Han and Leia's son in the old EU. So if you put a human and a green twi'lek together you get a human looking child with green hair? why not The final was more low key than I anticipated, centered on lothal's fate and nothing else Ezra and thrawn must have landed somewhere in the unknown regions explaining their absence during the trilogy, not sure about Ahsoka, did she stay hidden all these years?
  14. I see why they killed Livewire, to raise the stakes, make Reign more dangerous and have Kara doubt if she can be saved but it would probably work better if they had chosen a character regular or someone more connected to Kara. I think it's also a short-sighted decision because every show need a reserve of recurring villains or frenemies that they can bring back from time to time and Supergirl is very limited in this domain, they only have Psy left now, Flash did the same mistake when they got rid of the Rogues because of Legends. Alex is preparing for her new role as Ruby's mother and it may have been the most tolerable Ruby was this season, not a bad beginning Alex. I expect Reign to die since the beginning of the season but now I'm leaning more towards a sacrifice by Sam. Imra continues to do nothing for me, being nice is her only character trait, the actress promised we would see more of her in this episode instead she was the less used of the four, did nothing useful on the mission and didn't have any significant interaction with Kara. The only interesting scene with her was the one with Psy hinting at a possible secret. Winn and Brainy were a good pair though it wasn't a good episode for Brainiac who was kind of an ass. Nice scene with Kara and Mon-El at the end, it shows that he's changed and matured, and they can at least rebuild a friendship. All in all an okay episode raised by the interactions between Kara and Livewire but it did very little to advance the story, the characters learned that there are others worldkillers which we already knew and talking about worldkillers, a new one has just very conveniently awoken by accident just at the right time.
  15. - I liked the scenes inside Kara's mind but the resolution was weak, she kept herself locked up because she needed to learn that she needs to be Kara Danvers again and accept her humanity? a little weak and not really related to her fight with Reign. I like Brainiac he's a needed comic relief for this season and his scenes with Kara were fun, I doubt it will become romantic because he seems stranger to humans emotions. The big fight was so disappointing, I wanted to see Jonn fighting with the legion, instead they came without a strategy, just Imra throw a bunch of weights gets knocked out, Jonn attacks loses immediately and poor Mon-El isn't even given the dignity of fighting before being neutralized because the writers seem to hate him and want him to look as weak and useless as possible. I really don't understand what the writers are doing with this character, I thought they were building up to a revelation with his dour withdrawn attitude but just like the legion I'm less and less convinced that there's a plan. But now there are more worldkillers coming so maybe that's how there are going to justify the presence of the legion by giving us a giant fight with everybody
