  1. Kailyn has given up on her marriage. She doesn't use any of the tools because she doesn't care and being right is more important to her than being happy. And she tried to say "I don't want to spend all the time with you because we did that in the first 6 months." That, my friend, is false advertising. It's sort of like "yeah, I'm DTF every day for 3 hours" and then after you get married you're like "nah." Yes, people change, but you don't automatically want to spend LESS time with someone once you get married and get their benefits.
  2. If you had told me two years ago that Chelsea would be in the best position with the most stable career at this point, I would have been surprised. But you put it like that and you're completely right. Randy has babied Chelsea, but his love and guidance also saved her. It's actually quite touching.
  3. OMG SO MUCH AWESOME! Yes yes yes - CW is Ned Flanders! I don't have my thoughts completely gathered about Leah, but I think she's your standard narcissist. She does what makes her look good. That scene of her reading the bible in the first episode? Staged. By her. She doesn't like it when she looks not good - that's why her husband also had to admit to an "infidelity." I also noticed she was the only cast member who didn't tell her family about the experiment. She told a friend. Hou seems to me like your standard wanna be player. Whether or not he'd actually intentionally follow through with infidelity remains to be seen, but I think he likes skating right up to the edge. Maybe with Leah that's more dangerous (and sours him on her a little) because he thinks she might actually cheat. As for that scene with the glass...I agree that's where things went south. The way I watched it, he totally expected her to clean it up (not completely unfair since she left the glass in there), but then talked about her doing it in a douchey way. I can't remember what he said, but I remember thinking "that would piss me off." So she put it back on him and he didn't like that. His wife Alescia(?) seems like a sweetheart and a pushover.
  4. You know, that's a really good point. The idea that she said she followed him "accidentally" implies (to me) that Kailyn friending and following guys on instagram, twitter and FB is an issue that has been discussed, probably ad nauseum, previously. Javi doesn't like it and it's because something is making his spidey senses tingle. ETA: That, along with "I could cheat if I wanted to." Well yes, anyone could cheat if they wanted to, including my cousin's completely repulsive in every possible way ex-husband. Most people wouldn't say that unless they were thinking about who they might cheat with. Like the dude on Instagram you've been following and secretly messaging.
  5. Yep, new show tomorrow! Let's see Leah and Hou show their asses some more! Was anyone else bothered by the way Dr. Shapiro mocked Danielle with his weird buzzing noise and meter reading (the gesture with his arms)? It seemed really unprofessional to me and I don't blame her for getting upset. It also destroyed any trust she might have had in him as a counselor. Admittedly, this is probably pretty low anyway because they're on a reality show, but seriously. Bad form, dude, And then, instead of CW saying "uh, that was kind of effed up man," he takes the opportunity to lean in and dish about how *his* wife would never do that. He doesn't seem to have made the connection that the doctor could just as easily be mocking his wife about something. Anyway, can't wait for the next episode!
  6. Saying someone is "passionate" is a very common way to say "Your willingness to fight about shit that means absolutely nothing to anyone else damages relationships." It is slightly passive aggressive, and since Kail has so much experience in being manipulative (and being manipulated by her mom most likely), she is uber sensitive to a compliment that's anything less than 100% direct. I'm shocked they're in therapy and I wonder if the therapist is a sham. I mean, who calls their spouse out in front of their friends and family? That's so damn unfair and just aggressive. I would have brought that up in therapy. Why didn't the therapist say more about the "passion" thing? They're both at the point now that they're just trying to hurt each other and that's really hard to come back from. I agree with PPs who say that there is something behind Javi's jealousy. Husband Guilfoyle says that when Javi turns into a jealous prick about Kail going out with her friends, it's because he feels left out of the fun. I can see that but also see that she's a shady bitch who wants to keep her options open as far as the other sex goes. Really, bottom line, they're both (Kailyn and Javi) are too immature to recognize that they shouldn't be married at all, much less to each other, because they don't know themselves well enough to not hurt each other.
  7. I have always thought that Dawn is the exact image of what Leah will look like in 17 years. Heavier, tired, hamster hair, no makeup, just...done. Leah's potential mates would do well to look at that.
  8. Chelsea's reaction to Aubree's recitation of her meeting with her father was just...heartbreaking. I can imagine Aubree watching that in 10 years and seeing the emotions on her mom's face and it just makes me so emotional. She is so at a loss for what to say, but she just listens. That's a mom. Kailyn's "I hate your compliment for me!" and her ridiculous need to control everything. And it's not even because she has a master plan, she just wants to satisfy her whim. I would never have thought that Jo would become the good parent in this scenario, but here we are. Kailyn having that stupid conversation about Javi leaving RIGHT IN FRONT OF ISAAC. I want to medicate her, but I wouldn't even know where to start. Jenelle doesn't want Jace back. She wants to give Barb a dose of her own medicine. I wanted to throttle her when she WENT BACK FOR KEIFER I MEAN NATHAN on her way to the attorney. She gives one quarter of one shit about getting Jace back, otherwise she would have been working with Barb and her attorney long before the cameras showed up again. Leah is losing it. She has clearly been high as fuck on several occasions in this season, but the car! And she was so crowded in her own passenger seat that she could barely sit. She's losing this battle. I wonder if the wheelchair is somewhere under all that shit? As PP pointed out, remember that wheelchair and how important it was to get it? How Corey should have been calling his insurance company daily? This is part of her shopping addiction, along with the stupid washer/dryer and Mary Kay crap. And her poor kids with the canned ravioli (yeah, what was wrong with a sandwich or toast? she clearly had bread), and being made to hold their pee until they pee themselves, and getting home at 11 on a school night?! And how was Leah's hair so completely messed up in only 6 hours? I have unruly hair and mine doesn't get that bad. Also I have a 4 year old. I'm not aware of the laws in every state, but most of them require rear facing until age 1 year or 20 lbs (whichever comes LAST) but current APA recommendations say rear facing until 2 years. Their legs aren't really an issue with the tilt of the seat, they sit cross legged or prop them against the seat or splay them out. Kids are super bendy and comfortable in lots of ways we aren't as adults. The legs are less of a concern than the maturity of the spine and the scary term "internal decapitation" in the event of an accident. However, the number of potential projectiles in that car if they were to get into an accident could potentially outweigh any benefit baby Adderall would get from being rear facing. AND that most these kids are just in boosters (not even high backed ones) without 5 point restraints makes me a little crazy. I can't not notice it.
  9. When I was watching this episode I thought that Caputo was setting his overarching plan in motion. Remember when he told the guards that he wanted the corporation to see how badly things would go with untrained personnel before he went in to ask for benefits back? He laid out for the guards what would happen if there was a union, including the role of the the management, and then executed it in a convincing way so that his guards walked off on a crucial day to ensure maximum chaos. And this happened AFTER the "not the warden" quit and Fig lit a fire under his ass about taking the reins of the operation. If he did plan it (and I'm still not 100% convinced myself), it was a pretty brilliant risk.
  10. I am watching this show. There have been 3 episodes now (as of 7/22). There are a lot of fillers and teasers so I'm not sure if I've missed anything. For example, in the first 2 hour episode they implied that the the couples would be told that their spouses are actually living with each other. That hasn't happened.yet that I saw. I think Leah and Hou are the most despicable. Leah can't seem to take responsibility for her cheating, and even wanted her husband Neal to take blame for "cheating" when it seemed that he slept with someone when they were broken up due to her infidelity. I was horrified by her reaction to the therapist saying "you need to forgive yourself for cheating." She immediately piped up "Oh, I've forgiven myself!" I get the sense she is one of those people who can't apologize. I think this show is full of opportunity for shameful drama, I just wish it moved a little faster!
