People are convinced the blind item breakup is Kermit and Miss Piggy!?!? Oh my.....

I didn't think it was possible but right now I am more confounded than I am interested! I actually don't think I have ever been so frustrated by TV "spoilers" - it's actually ridiculous!

Is what's happening to Castle TVs version of the "7 year itch"??? ;)

I can live with the "want to be together but can't manufactured angst" but the minute I smell ulterior motive ie there's more to this than just a storytelling motivation - I am gone! I'm not gonna watch one of my fave shows get flushed down the toilet because of things beyond even the writers control! I'll go back to that peaceful, hopeful end to S7 and call time on my days as a Castle fan!

It's also hard to see so many fans both on Tumblr and Twitter who absolutely refuse to believe that TPTB would ever consider breaking up Castle and Beckett.....the fallouts gonna be ugly. It sort of bums me out seeing the mock ups of "baby Castle" and how hopeful so many fans still are despite the subtle clues out there. I am not happy about it but at least I (kind of) know what's coming.....for other fans it's about to come crashing down! I already have my helmet in place - I feel for the ones who don't!

Really?? We're gonna be filled in on Alexis' sexcapades?? This season just keeps getting better and better...... *insert highly sarcastic eyeroll*

Isn't there a setting in Twitter that allows you to limit notifications to receiving them from only people you follow?? That would seem to be the best solution for her??

Are they still giving her a hard time?? Wow! I guess, no matter what, she's gonna get the last laugh! She should get her popcorn ready or at least practice her "I told you so" dance!!

Yep that's definitely an option but talk about scraping the bottom of the barrel ;) Still, I'm willing to wait and see. I'm not gonna write off any idea until I see it play out....I do want to give the writers some credit....if they can actually juggle knives successfully I will be the first to stand up and applaud!

I just hope they can keep the funny/comedy present.....it's a key part of Castle, both the show and the character. Without the funny I don't know if I would still wanna watch. That's what I am most curious about....how do they achieve a breakup and maintain the fun?? A lot of fans like the fun......how can a breakup not weigh that down?

Desperate times call for desperate.....storylines? I mean if you have to do something that drastic to keep the show "interesting" maybe it's time to call it a day? Especially when you know the choices are gonna piss off a fair number of your audience!

I guess my fear is not about a breakup but more about the reasons as to why they feel the need to hit the reset button in s8. I'm kind of reluctant to watch a do-over with a couple who really should be over the WTWT phase which takes me back to my big fear.....this is been done to accommodate a "permanent" change (odds being a Beckett-less Castle) that I already know I won't like and won't wanna watch. I don't not want to watch Castle - I love Castle but if either Stana or Nathan want out I would rather say goodbye to Castle than watch some bastardised, half baked version where Beckett and Castle don't get their happy ending! I hope I am wrong but my spidey senses have been tingling for months now and as time goes on they only tingle stronger.

Exactly! The leap was too dynamic to be believable for me! Don't get me wrong, some of the outfits Beckett wears I love but at the end of the day she's a cop! It sort of reminds me of the days on Gilmore Girls where the writers were trying to portray a woman who could barely afford to feed herself as she got her Inn off the ground yet said woman always wore $1000 coats and carried around $3000 handbags LOL Bless fashionistas!

Producer credits for actors usually just mean more money....very rarely input or control over SLs. I could be wrong but it's a fairly standard negotiation sweetener at this stage of a shows life for lead actors!!

I long for a return to Season 2 days....is it mean to say I was hoping for a new costume designer this season?? I mean why not reign in the changes to the show by dressing Nathan better?? And Stana for that matter! I have not been a big fan of a lot of the choices Luke makes for a female cop......

I agree...I find it weird that Luke dresses "Ryan" the way he does but doesn't see fit to give "Castle" more style considering his wealth and social standing?? Especially compared to "Ryan" it's a mystery!

So Luke styled Nathan for that Tyler Shields shoot?? Curious....didn't fans swoon over him in that?? Yet they are out for Luke's blood when it comes to dressing him for Castle! Kind of hilarious, really!

And the fact they feel they have to ask us to trust them says a lot too.....

I agree - if she's gonna walk away from Castle I wonder if the roles will dry up especially if she doesn't have the commercial network "face" of being a regular on a long running show anymore!? If she wants to do independent, arty films I guess that's her prerogative but if she wants to make a living I would think long and hard about turning her back on Castle.

I have to take anything anyone who works on this show says with a grain of salt. I mean come on!?! Are any of them gonna come out in public and do anything other than wax lyrical about this amazing new season they are about to embark on?? I'll judge for myself thanks!!

I wasn't surprised by the response from some fans on Twitter but I was surprised by her sass! Good for her but I think she may be wasting her time and energies responding to those kinds of tweets!!

So are you saying they break up but don't fall out of love, Hal? Hmmmm must find my dictionary of TV tropes and try to guess this one! Intrigue.
