Sookie and Jackson -- I would worry Chris would just land me with babysitting duties..... WYR A Gilmore Girls reunion movie/short season - with Rory's ex-BFs or with new love interest/s? LL together or LL apart?

After doing a re-watch of this show on Netflix and being x number of years older I have a whole new appreciation of the character of Emily and now have disappointment that the character was not given the journey she should have been given. There was so much glorious potential for particularly the characters of Emily and Lorelai. Kelly Bishop and Lauren Graham should be writers gifts but alas, as with much of GG, the cynicism and negativity took over and the opportunities for growth were swallowed up. The "one step forwards, 2 million steps back" pattern of storytelling just killed this character and wasted Kelly Bishop's talent. It's a travesty! For anyone who doesn't know about the Gilmore Guys podcast I highly recommend listening to Kevin's chat with Kelly from the reunion weekend in Austin! She's amazing, engaging and lovely!!

It's got a slightly altered flavour but YMMV I just don't remember Alexis featuring as prominently but I do admit to only occasionally using that website but the big honking picture of Castle and Aexis from the season 7 finale just struck me as an odd choice and not one I have associated with the official site before (esp considering Beckett was sitting right next to him in that scene and just how lovely that particular scene was for those 2 characters) -- it just stood out to me straight away because it felt so weird to use it??!! It's very subtle I'll admit that but just look at the selection of clips.....yes, they feature Beckett but you wouldn't know that at first glance. Even Espo and chemistry cop get more of a feature.....

I am really interested to read Jon and Seamus' interview and how hopeful they are about the future of the show....they do realise that if they show continues next season in the form of Castle PI that they will almost certainly be out of a job, right?? Should Stana chose to leave and the show carry on I can see the network trying to erase everything Beckett flavoured in an effort to keep the show going forwards with its new branding...surely the 12th precinct would fall under that?? I know it's jumping the gun but, hell, it already appears measures are being put in place for this kind of transition.....I mean just take one look at the official website for the show.....

I feel like I am been fed a rather large glass of Koolaid right now -- made up of one part Hayley, one part grown up Alexis and one part "shaking things up" Better get that straw....

The constant character assassinations is ASPs style....her writing always comes from a very cynical place! Kind of makes you wonder how her own life has shaped up!!

When Lorelai went to Chris at the end of S6 that's when I stopped watching....I will always believe that she was sent there by ASP to deliberately deflate a show she had lost control of. I don't actually blame ASP for making that move (as disappointing as it was) considering how ridiculous the negotiations with the network had gotten but that moment killed the L+L romance for me forever....there was no going back. Chris was an overused trope that needed to be gone in S5 when even his own daughter was well and truly done with his s**t!! Nearly 10 years on and I have absolutely no regret jumping off the ship at that point....I refuse to bang my head against a wall when it comes to TV shows. It's a trait that has served me well. Granted L+L were magic in the first season -- just magic.

I am on this team too! It's like do you want to be a quirky "Murder She Wrote" type show or do you want to be 24's ugly second cousin??? The conspiracy episodes always went too far and it's why I pretty much hated all the 2 parters. And while I'm at it -- I think I am the only Castle fan who absolutely hates the character of Jordan Shaw....more like Jordan Yawn!

And considering the changes her character is undergoing this season is a change of hair style really that shocking?? My friend just went really radical with her hair because she feels it's the only thing she has control of at the moment! It's a bold choice but I totally understand where it came from!!

I think that's what I am struggling with. I'm supposed to suddenly care about all these characters they haven't bothered to develop for 7 whole seasons simply because they have no option other than to care about them now??? I think it's gonna take a miracle for my Castle love to return. It's like under a week until the show returns and I can't get excited....it's just a feeling of dread and it's a total bummer. I need to try to shake my Castle ennui.

So AH and TPW have chosen to describe the season opening 2 parter as "delightful" Not a word I would chose to use to describe an episode where you are breaking up your much loved main duo.... That's "Marlowe-esque" in its sheer stupidity....I can't wait to see what words fans come up with and I'm pretty sure not many will be sitting back at the end of the 2nd part saying "well, that was just delightful!!!" Exciting? Maybe. Intriguing? Maybe. Horsesh*t? Maybe. But delightful?? I doubt it!!

There is no sense to chasing down the actors on Twitter and spraying vitriol -- I understand not liking SL direction and/or character words and actions but what on earth do these people hope to achieve by abusing people like Molly, Nathan, Stana and Toks on Twitter?? It's borderline psychotic and inexcusable!

I think this is the more likely scenario -- they aren't focusing on the Caskett dynamic exclusively anymore because circumstance dictates that they can't so they aren't really writing for that audience anymore! They're just patronising us with generalisations. Either it will work and fans will transition or it won't and we can kiss S9 goodbye?!? It's a massive risk and not ideal but does anyone really think that if they couldn't keep telling the Caskett story, keeping the fans satisfied and happy, they wouldn't?? I mean who WILLINGLY casts aside, for the most part, their story's biggest asset -- it's engine and throws in an already proven to be unpopular SL (PI Castle) in its place? I just wish ABC wasn't so desperate.....it's killing this show.

This bugs me more than any other spoiler we have had this summer (the big one included) -- I would rather watch Castle work on his own....it's bad enough that we have to endure more ridiculous PI story lines as it is. Throwing Alexis in there because (let's be honest) you have nothing better to do with her makes it just that much worse. Of course YMMV ;)

Yep, it's surely on the cards *insert eyerolls* I mean, how else do they prove that Castle and Beckett are truely, wuurely meant to be other than test them both with good looking suitors....or how about 7 seasons of storytelling....oh wait....

I'm willing to give it a shot but if they decide to throw "other potential love interests" into the mix I'm out. I haven't watched this show for 7 seasons to see Castle and/or Beckett end up with different people and I won't be drawn into that sort of contrived BS this late in the piece. That would be an insult!! As verdana said - manufactured drama.....it's boring, pretty predictable and unimaginative. If they have to have a break up I hope they try to keep it fresh, do something new and not fall into the predictable tropes of TV drama breakups cause would any Castle fan buy a new love interest (even if temporary) at this stage

If I am remembering accurately didn't Ryan and/or Esposito once suggest to Castle that his whole relationship with Beckett is based on his boundary pushing?? If that's the angle their gonna try to work with I'm game (I guess)

I understand the desire to maybe go the music route but in this style?? I dunno.... I'm a fan of both of them and their work on the show but I can't take any of this seriously! It just feels like a big piss take!!

I'm just curious -- am I the only Castle fan who finds this ShayJean stuff beyond ridiculous and cringeworthy?? A website and merchandise?? Are they serious???

And here we were thinking Marlowe was stretching the limits of believability ;)

It's very sweet the way Nathan is supporting her show but OMG just the idea of that show bugs me! Does anyone here for one second think that if it was a hot Dad banging his college aged daughters bestie that Hollywood would even contemplate going there (but it's ok for it to be a chick doing it oh and it's "funny"?!?) I'm sorry but I find that offensive! Can't say I'm shocked it's struggling in the ratings! Sorry for OT!

Seriously.... My take away from that promo is "get a life, Alexis".... I guess I would be more gleeful about a new promo if I didn't know what was coming.....seeing all the people who have no idea, peeing their pants with excitement is kind of funny and tragic all at the same time! Hope they still feel excited at the end of the 2nd episode and beyond...and can I just add I am stunned that the spoilers here haven't leaked out into the fandom...stunned!
