I have watched DOOL all week and it is fun!! Some of the posters there seem as exasperated as we are, but it was my jam in the 80s, and seeing some of the same characters from then, as well as actors I have enjoyed from other shows (Kassie! Chrishell! Daniel Cosgrove!), I think I will stick around Salem for awhile.

Three days in and I am mostly enjoying myself. I like that there are people like Hope and Jennifer around (I watched during the 80s) and I also like seeing people I liked on other shows, Kassie, and was that Chrishell Stause today? I just love her. Jen Lilly too, though her character is not pulling off the Brady hit John thing very well, and why did she hit John in the first place? I guess that there was some trickery involved with her marrying Brady, no one seems to understand why.

I don't suppose the murdered Nick you reference is the same guy Charlotte Ross's Eve was involved with? I think that actor may have died.

Answers beget questions. Who is Rafe? I liked the guy who I think was Nicole's brother who always called her Samantha.

I will probably be asking a few questions a day as I get caught up, so please bear with me. Kassie is Eve Donovan, right? Shane is her father but Kim is not her mother, if I'm remembering correctly. And Jen Lilly is her sister? Who is her mother? Were there ever any Kim/Shane offspring? Who were the two young men working at the bar? Was that the Brady Pub? I do not like the darker hair on Alison Sweeney. She looks better as a bonde. Has James Scott actually left the show or will we be seeing him again? Thanks everybody!!

Daniel Cosgrove must have a portrait in his attic. He looks younger than the last time I saw him.

Watched today for the first time in years (I am bored with GH and exploring my options) and have a few questions. Who is Will's father? Where is Bo? (was that Daniel Cosgrove?) Is that young man Abby's brother, and if so is he Jack's son? Where is Jack?

Don't know what I did, but it's only the part about Y&R being the first soap that's mine, sorry previous poster!

I find this so depressing. Y&R was my first soap and my sister still watches it. Maybe I will give DOOL a try. Or with B&B at least I would be wasting less time.

I am just incredibly bored. I was thinking today about when Nash fell through the skylight on the Day of the Hat (OLTL). I had just come back to the show after several years, so was not terribly invested in Nash, or Nash/Jessica or even Jessica herself, but I was a damn puddle on the couch during the hospital stuff. This? God help me I have been watching regularly again since the OLTL folks originally crossed over and I can summon up no emotion whatsoever. Does anyone know if DOOL or the CBS soaps would be a better way to spend my time? I have to tell you something. You really need to know this right away. I must tell you this, it is really important. Please, listen to me IT WILL CHANGE EVERYTHING!!! (gets interrupted, passes out, whatever)

Robin too. He has always been Uncle Mac, but there has never been any doubt in anyone's mind that he did the majority of child-raising. Robert has thanked him for it at least once or twice. Mac IS the best soap-dad!!

Love the photo of the Davis girls upthread. Maybe Lexi as Kristina (since I do not want the most recent one) could come back to comfort Molly in the hospital, since that's obviously where she's headed. Alexis and TJ being awkward, but also trying really hard in the park was fun. Where did Ned go? He and Michael need to put their heads together, talk some sense into Tracy, and bring down FauxLuke.

Crazily though, I seem to remember Spencer(!) threatening Luke to leave Sonny alone and then we saw Luke on the phone telling someone to "take care of" Emma Drake. But why would FauxLuke even know Rafe and why would Rafe be threatened by him?

Cannot figure out quoting on this tablet, but Lola16 mentioned that she must have been good: no Levi Franco or Kiki. I must have been extra good, no Sonny Carly or Ava either. I also did not understand the detective promotion thing, since I thought he had always been "Detective West."

Reading upthread that Roger could have been Tom Hardy makes me very, very sad.

Every time Sonny "threatens" someone with "the only reason you're still breathing" line is one time too many. He is an inefficient, short, greasy moobster who shot AJ in cold blood and is not man enough to fess up to Michael. I won't even get into the Carly part of this all, it is just too maddening.

I always wonder why Gilmore Girls never gets mentioned. I flipped through People at the grocery store and it said Bridesmaids was her big break and mentioned Mike and Molly, but not a peep about GG. Was she unhappy with that part of her career?

This is how little attention I am paying to the show these days: I did not even notice that Levi's call to the judge was sans accent. And I did not care enough to go back and watch it again once y'all mentioned it.
