  1. Well now we know why Johnny/Dutch didn't happen... he's more into Lucy the ship. "No, no, you & D'Avin go ahead, I gotta stay with Lucy." Or when he asks Lucy, "You with me?" (on his crazy plan) and she responds with "Always." Maybe he's like the Doctor and his one true love, the TARDIS. Now I'm imagining an episode like Doctor Who where Lucy becomes a human girl for a day... D'Avin is still clunky and stiff and keeps asking obvious exposition-y questions. He does improve in the action sequences. And now I've realized I like D'Avin as long as he doesn't talk. Dutch's assassin-training past is still the most interesting part of this show. She and her steampunk hair and Johnny (yay for Warehouse 13 alums) are the only reasons I keep watching.
  2. According to Sepinwall, Fuller thinks they have a 50/50 chance: http://www.hitfix.com/whats-alan-watching/hannibal-producer-maybe-a-5050-chance-of-surviving-cancellation Plus the Save Hannibal Petition seems to be gathering steam. Check out all the international signatures! Now if we can only get the Korean fans** to sign... ETA: **this link goes to a Korean promo video for season 2 on youtube scored to K-pop. Avoid if you don't like K-pop.
  3. I skipped out last season, but I decided to check in to see how they handled the Harvey/Donna work break-up. Glad to see that she's still awesome. And Louis looks so happy to have her working with him! Harvey's acting like he lost his security blanket instead of his girl Friday. I really hope she doesn't go back to him anytime soon. I could have done without that whole Harvey therapy framing device. We can see that Harvey is having anxiety attacks (Gabriel Macht isn't that limited an actor) and that he's in denial about Donna leaving him without him having to say it or having every other character say it... over and over again. Unfortunately, Rachel/Mike still don't interest me. I find them even more boring than before.
  4. Another member of the Childermass Fan Club here! *waves hand* That said, there wasn't enough Childermass in this ep-- though I was amused by his expression as he watched the two sycophants manipulate Norrell into letting Strange leave. Norrell smiling with delight when he first saw Strange perform magic was so nice when compared to his usual pinched expressions. It's too bad their relationship starts to sour due to his own pettiness. Then again, after how callous Norrell was to Lady Pole, I can't say I'm that sympathetic to him. "Arabella is not a 3 yr old, Jonathan." Hee. I'm liking Arabella more and more. Her suspicion of Mr. Norrell is totally warranted. Now that Creepy Green Suit Faerie is following her around, I worried he's the enemy mentioned in Vinculus's prophecy.
  5. I haven't watched SYTYCD in years, but I caught some of it today. Anime was impressive and Paula's #1 fans were all cuteness. But what was that Breaker-Ballet guy all about? I was convinced that he was a comedian b/c of the exaggerated cringe factor and the way he ran off into the snow in that overly dramatic way. If it was real, then that was just plain sad and unnecessary.
  6. This is from the creator of Lost Girl? *smacks head* I quit that show because the romantic pairings were a complete mess. Although it tried to squeeze too much into this first episode, I thought it was entertaining and fun. There's a lot of potential as long as they don't try any stupid love triangle silliness. Dutch seems to have an interesting backstory with her old mentor. Plus, she and Johnny have a good rapport. D'avin does seem clunky in this first ep, but I'll give him a pass because it's a first ep. I'll give it a few more episodes to see where it goes.
  7. I was on the fence about this one. I liked Hermione Norris in MI-5 and it has that girl from The Hour (I really miss The Hour) and for a bonus, two Downton Abbey cast members. But... between this & Poldark, I'm going with Poldark for the one obvious reason already pointed out on this site.
  8. I found the Hannibal/Bedelia scenes darkly comic. Like how Hannibal kept trying to pin the Professor's kill on her cuz "technically" she caused his death or the contrast on their faces watching the couple eat what I assume was the Professor. Or how Bedelia provoked Hannibal with that question about his sister... then sunk slowly into the tub. Chiyo seems cool. Heh, Will should have turned that guy into a giant snail instead.
  9. Bryan Fuller gives a set tour on TVguide: http://www.tvguide.com/videos/todays-top-videos/play/hannibal-bryan-fuller-shows-us-the-series-most-elaborate-set/ Pretty amazing how they recreated most of the chapel.
