  1. (Even after telling us her name isn't really Sita.) Guess the third time really is a charm!
  2. Dom is good with people when he's comfortable - I like his sense of humor and his food. I liked that they went with the guys v. girls because to do anything else is awkward and can cause (unneeded) drama. I have seeing people not get chosen (or get chosen last). And I preferred no presentation theme over the Sexy Food theme which, in a perfect world, would've died with Penny. and her stilettos. The order in which I would consider watching a show by any of the remaining contestants: 9. Jay 8. Emilia 7. Michelle 6. Alex 5. Eddie 4. Rosa 3. Arnold 2. Rue 1. Dom
  3. Remember the good old days, when Jess was staying off SM? lol
  4. Let's make it an international adoption, just for good measure. lol Yes, please! This would free up about 38 minutes per episode for silly things like therapy, conversation, etc.
  5. I'm so over the whole #womensupportingwomen meme on Twitter. (And yes, I'm a woman! But I don't choose who I support based on gender.)
  6. I don't see the need to fit a honeymoon, holidays, apartment shopping, etc. all into the 6 weeks. Why not have the wedding, then move each couple into a furnished apartment (provided by the show) in an already agreed-upon location? Have the couples spend more time together doing more typical couple things (grocery shopping, meals, church, going out, normal work routines, etc.) to see how well they incorporate into each other's lives. I don't think there's any need for all the excess stress & manufactured drama when the situation is already over-the-top nuts. (This assumes that the experts have already done their job interviewing, researching, background checking & matching. Yeah, I know... huge assumption!)
  7. I didn't see her this way at first, but with everything that's happened since the Decision Day episode aired, I've come agree. I'm not sure if she did it in a totally mean-hearted way or was acting more out of a need for validation, but the end result, IMO, was definitely setting up Ryan up to look evil & herself to look like the sympathetic victim. Thanks for all the links you've provided, Rules. It looks like the main source for all of the allegations is the New York Post's claims of what is in the petition. I'm sorry to say that I've come around to believing that these reports are true (not necessarily true about Ryan, but true in that they are the allegations made by Jessica in her petition). The most disturbing aspect of this entire thing to me is that someone revealed confidential court files to the media - that's a horrific breach of privacy. Anyway, I don't know what (if anything) from the hearing will be made public, but I doubt you'll owe Ryan an apology. :) He seems to be over Jess (if he was ever actually invested to begin with) and to have a thick enough skin to survive all the hate directed at him from strangers/MAFS fans, so I think he'll come out of this just fine. As will Jess. I just wish they'd BOTH shown better judgment and better behavior throughout this "experiment".
  8. I wish they'd do like the Bachelor and bring back Davina & Jaclyn for another season. I'd watch them again, and would hope the "experts" could do a better job on the 2nd time around.
  9. If a court-appointed Special Referee is releasing information about a Family Court filing to the media, New York has some very serious defects in their justice system. I'm hoping that in actuality, some TMZ-type "journalist" simply looked at the docket and could tell (either by courtroom # or file #) which referee Jessica's case was assigned to. I'm not against anyone taking a threat seriously. I do like to try to distinguish between facts & rumor/opinions, but the way so many of these articles are written makes it (purposely?) hard to do.
  10. Great post, Japmo! ::standing ovation:: My only comment is that I'm not sure this is something Ryan did just because of the cameras. If I remember right, after the $100 nastiness, Ryan was walking off set & Jess said something like "This is what he always does!" Makes me wonder if he's uncomfortable with fighting in general and chooses, instead, to walk away until the situation cools down. Granted, he sticks around long enough for both of them to get make their points and take their shots, but at least he gets to a point where he's ready to let it end. (This is why I don't buy all the abusive/bad-tempered accusations.) Thanks, mimgming! "Celebrity divorce attorney" - lol!! Interesting that this specifically says he wouldn't comment on the case - so apparently all the "inside information" isn't coming from him.
  11. I understand that there are accusations and claims all over the media - I'm wondering where it's originating. I haven't seen any sources. In fact, the People article refers to their source as "rumors". I'll keep searching for something more. Who is Jessica's attorney (or where is that info given? I'm happy to search for it myself, but I keep coming up empty.)
  12. Court calendars are often accessible by the public, and the 7/13 date has been reported quite bit, but where does this other info come from? As a paralegal, I find it immensely disturbing that any information about a family court matter would be made public. From the mentioned charges to specific quotes of threats Ryan is accused of making... nobody should have this information except the parties themselves. We know what Ryan posted (the style of the case & Jess's signature on the Verification) - which party is leaking the other stuff? Per New York code, "Family Court is governed by Section 166 of the Family Court Act, which provides that the records of any proceeding in Family Court are not open to indiscriminate public inspection."
  13. Thanks for bringing that point up again. Some rumors have been repeated so many times and in so many places, they're being accepted as proven fact. Like so many other things, there may turn out to be some facts to substantiate this claim, but ... none so far, that I've seen or heard.
  14. Absolutely varying mileage! If I felt Jess was sincere and if I believed the (to date, unsubstantiated) rumors about Ryan, I'm sure I'd agree with you and side with public opinion. The way I see it, he wasn't given the opportunity to explain about Valentine's Day, even though it was clear he had something to say. He wasn't asked to give his explanation of didn't live together after Decision Day. He's been accused of lying about the watches. He's been accused of cheating (based on a mailed card, so far as we know) & doing drugs (based on a fake Instagram account). It's just all way too much innuendo & accusation, and not enough substance, IMO, unless one chooses to take Jessica's word without question. I simply don't. And I'm not afraid to be proven wrong and will happily eat crow when/if anything concrete comes out. :)
  15. Yes. So much yes!! The only thing we know for sure Ryan has done is raise his voice during an argument, from across the room. And several times we've seen him end a bad situation by leaving the room rather than perpetuate - much less escalate - the argument. Yelling during a two-person argument does not equate to verbal abuse, IMO, and quiet words can be just as hurtful as loud ones. Maybe there is a lot more than we know about, but Jessica didn't bring up anything last night that justified Ryan being called an abuser, thief and gambler. I actually think he liked her much more than she liked him evidenced by his efforts & willingness to change. But, as he realized, she's an actress and played this part to her best advantage, regardless of the damage it caused to him in real life.
  16. I ended the season liking only Jaclyn, Davina & RyanD. I had liked Jessica until recently, but unless a LOT more comes out and is substantiated by some kind of evidence or proof, my opinion of her is about as low as it can go. She was the first one I followed on FB and Twitter, and the first one I've un-followed. What a depressing show. That being said, between PTV posters calling him Ryan Douche and FB posters calling him Ryan Sushi, he will, in my mind, forever be "Ryan Doucshi".
  17. I had to go back a ways to find this! @Joobie - at the time, I agreed with what you posted about Ryan, but not with your opinion of Jess. Today, I'm in total agreement regarding both. I feel like he's been vilified and accused and had his entire character & reputation totally ruined. He's been labeled an abuser, drug dealer, gambler, thief, and potential killer (when the worst thing I've actually seen him say or do is tell her to "read a book") - all for the sake of the "success" of the show and of Jessica personally. That being said, I'm guessing the 95% you mentioned is even smaller today than it was yesterday. The few, the proud.... lol Also...I'm old enough to be his mom, and feel awful for her - this must be devastating.
  18. So glad I read this thread because I honestly thought Matthew's comment to Alex was "You're a piece!" To which I made the exact same face Alex did, as if to say "a piece of WHAT?!" Beast is much more acceptable, and I agree with those that see it as a compliment. I'm all about Dom, but also like Rue and Rosa. I'd like Eddie if he really did make "cheat day" food because I'm so not into the healthy stuff. Jay is too wrinkled & frumpy for me to want to associate him with food, and the others...meh.
  19. I'll keep watching -- for Danielle & SallyDan. That kitchen scene made me cry every time I watched (and re-watched) it. Danielle's support of her dad is beautiful to see, and I understand where SallyDan is coming from in being afraid to leave the house in make-up, etc. I relate to that kind of person much more than Carly and her extreme level of confidence and ambivalence to other people's attitudes. (Not saying one is right or wrong, just commenting on the type of personality I understand better.) I agree that the friends seemed very...convenient, and a little too perfect. Hopefully over time we'll be able to tell if they're real or just characters. Sister Sutton...please go back to your boyfriend, or maybe go on Say Yes to the Dress. We don't need you on this show!
  20. I agree completely that RyanD should have kept all of this off of social media! Under the circumstances, I can understand him wanting to speak up and fight back (VERBALLY!!! lol - don't want to further the "abusive" narrative) after all the negativity and accusations - whether warranted or manufactured- but it would've been wise, IMO, to keep from sinking to this level. Even worse is his friend slut-shaming Jess - that's the one thing I can't find any excuse or justification for. Ryan himself should have shut that down or defended her.
  21. De-lurking just to say this is how I took RyanD's post. He was able to screen-shot the mystery Instagram posts & track their location before someone thought to cover their tracks. I don't see "death threat" by any stretch of imagination.
