  1. Finally got to Friday's episode.  Not quite sure how to interpret Steffy's blinks. Is she reconsidering Bill's offer or is that a deer in the headlights look?

I felt more sorry for Liam. At this point I don't believe he's in love with either Hope or Steffy, he just wants to belong somewhere.  It's kind of sad that there's no one who wants what's best for Liam without an ulterior motive of their own.  It makes Bill co-opting Wyatt that much more despicable.

  2. 'Letting Ghost' - Martin and Lena are thrilled when they hear that Mae has won the lead in the school musical but are surprised to learn that she has been confiding in the school psychiatrist, Dr. Rydacto (guest star Fred Armisen), about her feelings toward how not divorced they are acting. Meanwhile, Martin has reservations about how fast his relationship with his girlfriend is going and asks Mason for girl advice, on 'Splitting Up Together,' TUESDAY, MAY 8 (9:30-10:00 p.m. EDT), on The ABC Television Network.

  3. The Conners can't pay their Wi-Fi bill, so they befriend their new neighbors to use the Internet for Mary to Skype with mom Geena, who is stationed in Afghanistan. Meanwhile, Dan loses an important job and D.J. admits post-military life has been hard, so they come up with a plan to make extra money.

  4. Yes, they just don't have any ability to follow through and transition stories. Everything is so abrupt and headache inducing.  (You do have to admire the actors' ability to go with the flow.)

Even though I thought the way they got to Still 2.0 was sleazy, it could have been okay - Steffy finally realizing that Bill was really the one. But using a perfectly fine WTD moment to initiate months of painting Steffy as Bill's victim and then the shooting to nowhere, I would say that's the dumbest way to evolve a storyline except this show would just consider it a challenge.  :-)

The show misses the low hanging fruit. Bill's shooting could've served as a way to have RJ's exit with Rick suspecting he had something to do with it and teaming up with Thomas to protect their brother with Brooke and Ridge in the dark. Liam could leave town so that he can be rebooted. Hope's return includes a husband with a secret agenda and who can bring new blood into the show. Thorne/Katie/Wyatt was a worthy triangle that was cut short, why? Rick/Maya(Myron) have a dynamite story for Maya to have a kid from back in high school with its mom in tow and Maya unexpectedly has feelings for her or Amber returns with lil'D and threatens Maya's marriage. Or Jack Marrone returns and is rivals with RJ while falling for Young Adult lil'D. Maybe Nick dies and Ridge and Brooke are both his next of kin and suddenly are raising a teen who has severe resentment issues with both of them.

I agree, not sure why BB doesn't get it. The ratings have been abysmal and critics are noting that the show is unbalanced storywise. BB makes feints at moving to something new (Sally, Sheila, Thorne) but he never commits and when the going gets tough all roads lead back to Steam/Lope/Still. He wants and sees that as his marquee couple when fans of practically both pairings want this resolved. At least with Steam/Still there was a bit fresher ground to till by everyone addressing the elephant in the room- Still was first and Liam may have been a placeholder for Steffy or she fell for Liam but never stopped loving Bill. Instead the show had no faith in truly exploring Still and apparently no plan for a Liam without a Steffy so they're keeping him on this infernal Hell along with the audience. Liam having to swallow the bitter pill of Still ruling the Spencer roost with their daughter and/or Liam well and truly losing to Bill with the exception of his daughter is a story they may feel is hard to write or too complicated and yet that's exactly why they should've gone there. It was fresh and uncharted territory. But if they needed a blueprint just use the blueprint of Eric/Brooke with Liam's Ridge moving on until he has an affair with Steffy and she gets pregnant again and doesn't know who the daddy is!

Yes, yes, yes, yes, and yes!  That's the worst thing, knowing there are so many stories they could do and won't.

With JY on recurring, I don't think we're going to get Myron's kid anytime soon but there's still time for Hope's European guy to show up - Ridge certainly could bring him over to butt in.

But Simmons actions (and later Fitz's actions) lead to Ruby getting more powerful with the Gravitonium. Basically if Simmons didn't think that she can't die or think that she would be fine with almost drinking the posin then maybe this wouldn't have happened. Its about cause and effect which some fans apparently don't understand and are blaming Yo-Yo for motivating Hale to get the Alien Confederate involve.

Yeah, I've been really disappointed in FitzSimmons this season.  Jemma even more so, I think.  If I blame Yo-Yo at all, it's for enabling their idiotic decisions.

I really hate it when characters change for plot purposes.  May hasn't even escaped. Mack is the only sane person in the group anymore.

Except that it motivated her to break Fitz out and then go after Hydra's "Destroyer of the Worlds" machine though. Seems like she thinks that nothing bad will happen to the two of them so again, her sudden fear of "oh, no big bad Ruby is going to hurt us" doesn't really make much sense. To her, "invincible" implies engaging in really risky behavior and coming out, her and Fitz in particular, unscathed.

Because she (finally) realizes that alive doesn't mean unscathed?  That there are a lot of parts that can be damaged while leaving the reproductive parts in working order?

  8. Well, Bill did say the shooter was some guy he didn't recognize. So the police could conceivably charge him with obstructing their investigation. ** Because now the police are looking for a tall-ish, lanky man - not a crazy woman who thought he molested her 30 year old daughter. :-)

I don't think he had any actual obligation to tell them, either when it was Liam confessing or Taylor but he did flat out lie to them when he thought it was Liam.

** Conclusion based on 20 plus years of faithful L&O viewing.

  10. I don't remember which one it was, but one of the spoiler links said that the stress Steffy was under was putting the baby in danger.  So, I suppose Bill trying to reel her in is kind of stressful but compared to what both Bill and Liam have been thru recently it doesn't seem like all that.

LOL, yeah the one thing we know they can't do with Karla's pregnancy is make her character pregnant as well.

I remember reading last year about uterine transplants, which evidently already works with women but the researchers are also looking at it for trans women.  I doubt it's going to happen any time soon but you never know.  Maya may sneak off to Italy or Thailand or wherever at some point and come back pregnant. :-)

  12. Well... that was an odd episode. Taylor sitting there talking about power imbalances and sexual abuse seguing into this whole "Bill is in love with you" thing was additional proof (not like any was needed) that TPTB still don't get consent and associated issues.  They want to have their 1950's cake and not choke on it today - like Ridge (and then Taylor) accusing Bill of assault even while Steffy is nonplussed  that no one  (except Hope and Brooke) accepts that she was a willing participant.  They use the words but they obviously don't understand them.

Also - every time someone tells Steffy that Bill is in love with her, it's just weird, like courtship by proxy.
