Agreed. If they do manage to snag Jared (which doesn't seem likely for some reason), I hope Dean has grown up. And I sincerely hope no one refers to him as "The Perfect Boyfriend" in the revival. Ugh. Beyond that, I'm not really interested in the boyfriend debate. It's tedious and unfair at this point.

Well... that good. 'Cause I would seriously have to question a person who labels Jess as 'abusive' but not Dean. Anyway! I hope we start getting some behind-the-scenes stuff soon. I don't want anything too spoiler-y, but some pics of the cast would be nice.

Update: Kathleen discussed this on her podcast back in December. You can listen here (should start around 27:20) Thanks to emilydoesthething for finding this!

It appears Kathleen Wilhoite (Liz Danes) was not asked back.

Didn't MM claim she wasn't invited to the reunion back in... June, wasn't it? Very odd, indeed.

So...

I haven't read much fic in this fandom, but anything by missgoalie75 is brilliant.

It makes me a bit nervous that everything isn't finalized. But I guess that's to be expected when you have this many players, all working on other projects. The boyfriend situation is... interesting. Milo is currently filming a new show (?) but he's been pretty vocal about his desire to return. That obviously doesn't guarantee Jess' presence, but still. The fact that we don't have a straight answer is frustrating. *Sigh* I wouldn't object to an F-bomb or two, not gonna lie! But, yes, I hope it all comes together. Curious if Netflix will go against their usual routine for the show. I want all the episodes at once, and yet...

1) I'm... not sure. I wouldn't be surprised if she breaks up with Paul (assuming he's her boyfriend in Part 1) and remains single throughout the revival. Depending on which actors will be making an appearance, I could definitely see Rory reconnecting with her past boyfriends. I just hope her love life isn't the main focus. Personally, I wouldn't mind if Rory and Jess form a healthy, adult relationship - but I'd be very, very surprised if ASP goes there. I'm expecting a small scene between the two or with Jess and Luke, at best. As long as Dean doesn't play a large role, I'm good. (Sorry, Dean fans!) 2) As far as I'm aware, AB's pregnancy has not been confirmed. I know rumors have been swirling around for some months now, but I think her 'baby bump' is... debatable. We'll see how it goes! I can't say I'm really here for a pregnant Rory, to be honest. 3) Ideally, Luke and Lorelai would be married by now... Or, at the very least, in a committed relationship. I don't see them having children. 4) re: Rory and Lorelai's careers, I just hope The Dragonfly is still going strong, and that Rory is doing what she loves. I wouldn't be surprised if she's struggling, though. Working somewhere unexpected would certainly make for a interesting storyline. 5) I have no doubt ASP will handle Richard's passing with the utmost respect and honesty. Emily is going to break my heart, I just know it. 6) Paris Geller will rule the world, obviously. Haha - I'm not even going to bother coming up with a serious answer. From what Kelly said, I'm expecting lots of laughs. Hmm. What else? Unpopular opinion (maybe?): I hope Kirk doesn't take up much screen time. He's better in small doses - the same can be said for most of the Stars Hollow residents, really. I want family, friendship, complicated mother/daughter dynamics. I want Emily to properly grieve for her husband, and let her daughter in. I want the Gilmore women to freaking communicate. I want Lorelai to let Rory be her own person. I'm very interested to see what their relationship is like now. It was never the same after the Dean situation, which makes sense. Romantic relationships (at least for Rory) should not be the main focus. I want growth.

I'm very sad that Melissa McCarthy can't find the time to make a little cameo. Not surprised - but sad all the same. A tiny part of me hopes that ASP is straight up misleading us, but that would be silly. Not to mention cruel! I really hope Jess makes an appearance. Even if we just get a scene with Luke, you know? Not sure if there would even be anything with Rory because of Milo and Alexis. I know absolutely nothing about their dynamic, but I can't image we'd get much of anything from those two. Oh well.

Never trust early reviews.

It's rather sad that so many people seem to be more excited about "Gillovny" than the revival itself. I mean, that speaks volumes... I'm not going to read any more reviews. Nothing that I've read has surprised me, to be honest. We'll see, I guess.

I don't have an issue with Mulder and Scully growing apart. It actually makes quite a bit of sense, to be honest. Let's face it: their relationship was never the healthiest, and they've both gone through so many traumas. I'd be more surprised if everything was all roses and sunshine. I just... I don't trust Chris Carter, so I'm very concerned with how everything will be handled. And, God... I'm am so not ready for all the William angst. I feel awful for saying this, but I wish that whole mess had never happened in the first place. I still think they missed such a golden opportunity with 2012. Oh well.

They completely wasted Archie Panjabi. I don't know why, but for some reason I was under the impression that she signed up for a multi-episode arc. My mistake... I feel like this show doesn't really know what to do with its guest starts. I mean, aside from Eva Longoria. The Amy/Jake thing makes me nervous for all the usual reasons, but I'm not sure why some people are being so negative. We're only two episodes into the season. Give it some time. And I'm not really getting why people expect this show to be 100% realistic when it has never cared about following real life logic.
