S11.E01: Acheron: Part 1

Agree on Maggie, she has so gone over to the dark side, she's no longer thinking things through, just being angry and impulsive. I'm surprised she's not out venturing on her own, like Daryl and Carol. Princess yeah i felt the same at first, i was 'she is too much and ott'. BUT she has grown on me, and she does have some nice funny moments. I think the actress is doing a great job on the character, and look forward to other roles she may do. -
I have to admit I thought the swipe memes were dumb, until Dick Whiskey popped up and I did laugh out loud.

What was the deal anyways, baking chicken breasts is easy enough an amateur like me can do it. He had such a hard time with it, it makes me wonder if the producers mess with the ovens/burners or something.

I miss his trademark shark fin hairstyle, that always cracked me up. As judges go I don't mind him, he's not mean or catty and tends to give constructive advice. Someone mentioned seeing him earlier, he's been on Top Chef TONS of times, first as contestant, then judge later.

i don't see antonio naming sam as throwing him under the bus. he's got 2 choices - himself or sam. hedge your answer and GR will crush you for it.

Or better yet, build a dead body wall that new walkers cant figure out to climb over - a la 300. daryl's train scene was very 'oldboy'. but then again, it's the trope of attackers cooperating by attacking one at a time so the target has time to deal with each one. -

I was. I wouldn't mind if masterchef borrowed some ideas from HK. -

I don't know how valid the blind taste test is, as if you are sighted you can eyeball what you are cooking, but it was always enlightening seeing what the chefs could discern vs not (and not sure how valid vs staged the competition is). I mean cauliflower, from the texture how can you not pull that one? I'm guessing the celery family is more difficult, and some of the poultry and beef. -

nope agreed, open space far beats subterranean attack zones, unless you are certain they are secured. i'm thinking drama for drama's sake. who one could've chosen a building to get trapped in as well as a subway. i'm in line with negan's thinking on this strategy. -

why go to the subway at all when upstairs yes it is raining, but infinite places to run to? jeezus walking in the rain or storm is not that horrible compared to a zombie massacre in a contained space. -

Ah man the dreaded relay cook off. It rarely ends with good results. I wouldn't mind seeing the dreaded blind taste test, without the comical punishments to other contestants. -

Yeah, agreed. that's on the judges egging Joseph on, because he wasn't being vocal except when they prompted him. Imagine if Elise from Hell's K was up there, all the comments she'd be making. -

I know it really bugs some people, but I could listen to Autumn prattle on all day. I love the Boston accent - I'm amazed we haven't gotten a "that's wicked good" out of her yet. 😆 -

I know of him from Top Chef, he was one of the judges in a food truck competition. Apparently he's a biggee in that area. -

omg Rosa's 'adios amigo' in her regular high voice had me so cracking up. so glad this show is back. (if you haven't, watch interviews with Stephanie B. Her regular voice is way higher than Rosa's gutteral low.) Here's one: -
I am happy this is set in NYC, totally different vibe than Miami. I expect it to be more hectic and tense with Dex not so laid back.

Not tried either, but both sound interesting. Is tea bread special compared to regular bread? -

If YOU were to go on Masterchef, what dish would you prepare? I don't have a signature dish, I guess that would be step one. I can't make pasta (correction, just never have, guess I could learn); I can make an ok chili; I do an ok steak on the grill; fish not a good choice for me; never made a sausage; soups I've not made from scratch; I guess I'd be elim'd quickly. -

Ah. I could see him being a ball breaker as a boss. I wonder if most chefs aren't temperamental as bosses? I never worked in that world so I don't know.
