i can't imagine going back 6 years in my life and feeling the guilt there. i would have been eaten up alive if i felt guilty 6 years, but maybe i'm not made of sterner character.
-
Question, is this occurring 6 years after Howard's death, or what is the timeline? If it is 6 years later, I'm wondering what's the triggering event for Kim, as her life, albeit dull, seemed right on track. Was it Jimmy's pphone call?
-
I agree, that was nice. If I see someone in distress like that, I'll at least ask if I can help or what's wrong.

I'm afraid I need to disagree, I do not want sweet tuna fish salad. As I do not want catsup on my hotdog. One has to take a stand on the important things. 😝

Criminal Minds: Evolution in the Media

Paget Brewster is posting about it now on Instagram and Twitter, if you follow her. -
i know right?!? when he was gathering up the phone line cord in each hand, i was so scared he was going to choke her out.

Some nice writing and cinematography there. I don't mind a brunette Kim, but that cut needs to change. UGH miracle whip is the worst, be it on tuna or potato salad. always say NO to MW (I was forced to eat it growing up as a sub for real mayo.) So Kim grew a conscience...the damage is already done, Howard's wife was correct. Time for Jimmy's come-uppance?? We'll see.

woot!!! new season returns in 2 days!!!! who's excited besides me? (actually continuation of season 2, sorry)

so fun and weird choosing nesmtih as a tune. i love the guy since the monkees. why not light or rrio?
-
ok crunched. no kim or skylar spinoffs. i hope this vampire show stands up well. (maintain little hope, as i find the story boring as heck.)
-
just curious, who would watch a Kim W spinoff? i likely would, as I would also probably watch a Skylar spinoff.

...waiting on top chef to return, so i have a somewhat ok cooking show to watch.....well and then there's padma, and tom's got nice eyes....gail is ok as long as it doesn't become the chesty show with her....and i did like the guest judges. -
It brings up an interesting point Danson's character made, in that all weapons eventually will have a weakness found and therefore become obsoleted, forcing advancements in weapons. I'm guessing currently we have no such thing for our nuclear weapons, beyond being able to detect their launches early enuff. I wish we'd figure something out for them. (question, EMPs, do those disable nuclear missiles?)
-
Was Klyden back on the ship? I missed that. Yaphit the character can be voiced by a different actor than Norm.
-
I thnk you are right, so certain alien species have their versions of transporters. You'd think for all their vaulted intelligence, the Kaylons would have it already. And bring back Engineer Dann, he was funny.

Masterchef (US) - General Discussion

I didn't even realize he was still on there. -
Agreed. You'd think any engineers, upon creating a device would keep a record how to create the device, unless its a one-off, which according to their explanation this one isn't. You created a McGuffin weapon and arbitrarily now it can't be used again? It's the time travel around the sun plot hole all over again. It will be interesting to see if they add another new character or just keep the base main characters. We've lost what 3 now, Klyden, Yaphit and Charli...well Klyden not lost, but kinda written out. I'm not sure Yaphit is written out or just temporary hiatus. I would hope they'd keep him, he's interesting and adds some humor. Wait, 4 if you count Alara.
-
LOL excellent point, I'm combining my shows I guess. I think you are correct. I sit corrected.
-
further thinking about it. we saw the weapon in engineering. so it's portable. transport it once and you have its complete template and structure in the transporter buffer, right? so copy this and bang it into an electronic blueprint. I'm a bit of a soundtrack buff which is why i hear the music cues so much. incidental music is fine, expected - it can highlight scenes, introduce characters - but constant music in the background makes it become less important and even annoying.
-
the music is abrasively intrusive again. uh oh a ship flyby, crank up that brass theme and ready the trumpet stabs. pewpewpew. every scene does NOT need music. wow that device heist was amazingly easy. such a powerful weapon, and we have one security protocol in place protecting it. Brilliant. no one ever conceptualized a rogue higher up? i too fast forwarded through the song. i'm sure they have great singing voices, but it takes me out of the story quite a bit. there's a time and place, and a mini-vacation at this particular time seems out of place. also fast forwarded thru the later ship and trench battles. ummm...the weapon can't duplicated? it was all designed from memory and nobody made plans to create the device? is the argument charli is the only one who could operate it?

maybe. and maybe i've seen the equivalent of their tostados at taco bell a million times. i dunno how this team won, i'm seeing nothing above baseline texmex cuisine. attaching plant based does zero for me. any mex restaurant i've been to seems miles above this level. and not being a foodie snob - I grew up in texas, tried many many different tex mex places - there's this and then there's above board, and you can taste the above level effort. unless there's a secret ingredient going on here, i'm not seeing the elevation. ditto mac n cheese, if i can duplicate it, it is NOT elevated. it's just sappy more convenient from a truck. i'm not hating on them, i just wish for the show we choose higher level trucks to make it interesting. variety, spice of life, differences. i can find a dozen texmex trucks close to me, twice that in chinese restaurants with decent take out. italian is somewhat different truck wise. Greek, Hawaiian are different. waffles while not different is unusual, so that's good. let's see a gyro greek truck next time!! or russian, or heck if it's possible a truck that does spit based meat. thai food. norway food, now we are talking seafood. more african based food, their food looking banging. dumb old Boston chowdah area food. variety. am i wrong? heck, go with the times, ukranian food to support refugees. locally we have Cupbop, which is Korean cup food - fantastic, not expensive, not really fancy, tasty as all get out and always a bit busy. BRANCH OUT. -

i just sincerely hope they rethink what they are looking for in teams, rather than very surface tv reality appeal. personality is fine, but not at the exclusion of decent food. variety in the team cultures is also always welcome, it's interesting and keeps us viewers more engaged.- 1.5k replies

and just to check my hearing, did Sugar refer the shrimps as 'skrimps'? I could swear I heard her say that. more annoying little tidbits. yeah its kinda sad when the top two are just assembling dishes rather than making them. i suppose senoreatas did their salsas and maybe the sauces, but i'm thinking the Cheeses just assembled plates and made ZERO, pasta or sauces or otherwise. exactly. unless you are completely out in the sticks and there are NO other options available, i'd never wait that long. heck if a fast food line makes me sit still longer than 5 minutes (eyeing you Mickey Ds), I'm bailing on the line and going somewhere else. my time is valuable, and you call yourself FAST food, so dangit it better come fast. i don't expect haute cuisine, but I expect expediency.
