I'm on Red Zone now. FWIW, the scene in Pittsburgh around the game was pretty tremendous, but I'm back at my place & totally got here WELL before traffic hit. I don't know if FOX switched over, but I'm surprised they wouldn't have by now. That's why I decided to skip the game & watch all the games at home. Saves money, in a huge way. More important, I avoid commercials, while having the ability to control my content After 5 minutes or so, Scott Hanson has not switched to Giants/Cowboys. NFLN totally gets it

Totally understand. I can so see Minnesota retaining the title. However, I really do not need to see the Chargers win. It would've been better earlier, but the Chiefs own them, so I can do without them taking a wildcard spot

Looked favorable that Baltimore taking care of business against Cincinnati would be the way to go, but now I probably need the Bengals to topple the Ravens. Meanwhile, while it's a road game, Pittsburgh absolutely has to win next Sunday because if they don't Cleveland will definitely finish ahead of them for the first time. Which will be okay only if they win the division (which I think they'd have earned). Plus the Browns are playing much, much, better (than the Steelers). We'll see when Kansas City returns, but barring them barfing up their soul, it'll be tradition as usual. Jacksonville isn't that great, and the road to Allegiant goes throw Arrowhead

Pittsburgh, who could go 9-8 AND be outgained in EVERY GAME (all 17) this year, got help in a couple huge ways. Houston managed to upset Cincinnati on the road, and someone is NOT winning the Ravens/Browns game

For real. This usually takes place two weeks from now. Not sure what the big deal is to do it now. I guess when you've lost your 7th game and/or have been mathematically eliminated from a berth in your conference's title game, why not get a head start. Here are the latest rankings FYI: The 3rd CFB Playoff Rankings will be released on Tuesday. As is the custom, it'll be later than normal as ESPN typically releases them between the 2 College Hoops games (The Championship Classic)

Earlier in the week I commented on how there was no way SNF should take place. At least Vegas and New York can make it competitive. As for Giants & Cowboys. There is only one way to make that game look good. You dream big, to where USC and the Ravens face each other in a football game. You actually watch. After GMEN/BOYS. Then you compare the two

For New York at Dallas late this afternoon, I haven't seen any over/under predictions in which you're choosing the time of day (as opposed to a score) related to when FOX will switch to Washington/Seattle. I think 6:30 is reasonable. Anyone else, and I'd go with 5:45

Doubtful. They went to Colorado this year as well as Washington. Furthermore, they tend to take a de facto BYE week before the big home stretch. To be specific, after 11/18, it's The Game (also Iron Bowl weekend), then Conference Championship Weekend, followed by Army/Navy and Heisman Night. BTW, in (very) recent years, the Game Day team doesn't travel from Philly or Baltimore to New York anymore, at least as a whole. Despite Rece Davis taking over from Chris Fowler, the latter still hosts the Heisman show. Lee & Kirk no longer make the trip, especially the former. Desmond does, having been a past winner. Anyway, if there had been a decent Top 8 matchup, I think Gameday goes there. Now, Washington vs Oregon State as a Top 12 matchup is still a very good game. Not great since the Beavers have 2 losses. However, had OSU had one loss or none, Gameday is definitely going there. As mentioned, they're taking it easy for Week 12, which they did in 2022. Which is vexatious since SNF (Saturday Night Football) is actually Washington at Oregon State. Maybe Herbie doesn't care, but I probably might not be too thrilled as a top color guy to travel from Baltimore to Harrisonburg and from that place to Corvallis. My issue is that ESPN used to have Gameday and SNF at the same spot more often than not (pretty much what Big Noon and the hoops Gameday version do). There is a reason when the SEC is involved but I guess ESPN and company has pivoted to a great story over a great matchup over the years. Of course, what might happen is Chris and Kirk either getting the week off or they're calling Florida/Missouri

It was kind of sad, to be honest. Harbaugh is not dead; he was just suspended. He'll be fine. Though I'll be nice; it wasn't as pathetic as Caleb Williams crying last week. While missing the Ohio State game is more than a slap on the wrist, I agree that this suspension is a total farce. If you had to suspend the guy (right away), you make it indefinite. It'll be interesting to see what happens this week. I think they will definitely be fireworks, but man, Ohio State winning THE GAME makes everything sorta moot

Whatever. Though there's no need to taunt, when it comes to fines for those, what a mess. It's never consistent. Week 10 Picks: New England, Pittsburgh, Cincinnati, Tennessee, Jacksonville, Minnesota, Baltimore, Detroit, Arizona, Seattle, Dallas, Las Vegas, Buffalo ATS: New England, Jacksonville, Detroit, Dallas, Vegas, and Buffalo all cover. I guess they'll play that NFC Game, since what took place between 1971-2011 post merge topples everything else. Everything is bigger in Texas, and New York is the biggest end city in the world. Detroit probably shouldn't win, but extra rest vs not much should help them try to win their division for the first time in 3 decades. Buffalo is tricky. They're not that great, but they had a chance to beat Cincy but it didn't work out. It's 2023, not 1983 so there isn't a Sunday Night movie on NBC. I don't think I want to see the Pats depart the Eastern Hemisphere without the most accomplished head coach in the game. Finally Jaguars/Niners is a trick and trap. BTW, this actually WAS my Super Bowl pick. San Francisco could have a successful reset though not that much sans Williams. However, Jacksonville was also off last week, and they are hosting. In the above games ATS, for my over/under, I'll go under with Jets & Broncos games. I'll go over for San Fran, Detroit/LA, and Giants/Cowboys, BTW, Dallas doesn't even need the GMEN to get to that 39.5 total; they sure as heck didn't need them at Metlife the first time!

Well, Michigan escapes. So while the ultimate goal is still alive & well, we'll see what's next for the Wolverines. For me, I think the best thing would be for all the top teams to keep winning, and then Ohio State wins in the Game AND whatever game follows on 12/02/23. BTW, I have Florida State, Tennessee, Utah, Mississippi, and Ohio State covering. Buckeyes will get the over on their own, and I'll go under for everything else
-
Totally great points, Notabug. As mentioned, Michigan deserves to be punished. BTW, I'm not a Michigan fan. Between the BIg 3 of that conference, I'm more Ohio State over both Michigan and Penn State. So this is fine. Just not less than 24 hours before kickoff. While I think it's fair that the Wolverines are getting punished, what's not cool is doing this when it can't be reversed. Furthermore, if it's true that Ohio State and others tipped off Purdue, then the Big 10 can go away and die. BTW, that doesn't give the Wolverines a pass, but if you're going all in to take down one of the best programs in the conference, you cannot ignore the complains Michigan made, if it's valid. I'm just not happy at all. People made the trip, and people bet on the game already. Saying they should've seen it coming is not a valid reason for the timing. Either wait until the end, do it at the beginning of the week, or at the beginning of the season. Not a fan if the Maize & Blue, but I am a fan of greatness. IMHO, Michigan will not be going to court to try to get Harbaugh back on the sidelines; they're actually going to do whatever it takes to make Petitti and the other ADS & whomever else suffer at the very least. Amid or in lieu of that, Michigan might bolt the Big 10 (just a rumor / social media chatter). We'll see, but Karma is a real thing. Week 11 Picks time: Clemson, Michigan, Alabama, Tulane, Kansas, Arizona, Kansas State, Florida State, Mizzou, Washington, Oklahoma State, Iowa, Oregon State, Oklahoma, Georgia, Texas, Ohio State, LSU, North Carolina, Oregon

No Michigan head coach Jim Harbaugh on the sidelines when it counts the most
-
When those young men before no earlier than 1990 show up on television speaking to an audience somewhere in Ohio next to a substance that looks like them, then I'll have no idea what to do with that information
-
Looks like the Big Ten is going to go tough on Harbaugh in a hurry. As in today (11/10/23). What are your thoughts on the situation for Michigan? To be honest, I think Jim and company are guilty as hell, period. If they got punished, it would be the right thing. However, I think I'd still be pissed if it occurred within the season, especially right before the Penn State game. How on Earth is this good for the sport? That would never happen in the NFL, based on who's great though. If Arizona or the Jets pulled off something similar that would be different

TBH, the 45 seconds I saw of Bruce in Season 44 was enough of an indication that he was going to be a problem if you gave him a season to compete
-
No. Just a touchdown. Carolina is so awful that Chicago is giving them a head start, beginning the game with a score of negative 2 to nothing
-
At the end of the day, the fact is TNF featuring the Chicago Bears & the Carolina Panthers will be the most watched program. That's what typically happens I'll go with the Bears for the win tonight, and no way the over hits. It's not a good game at all, and that's definitely the case on paper. However, to be fair, that's on paper; sometimes the worst games end up actually being okay at least. Like 17-13 or whatever. Whereas the best games like Cowboys and Giants end up being the worse than the worst. Replace New York with San Francisco and you're current. Anyway, I don't see tonight being one of those days where a crap ass game is the opposite. So I'll go with Chicago winning 4-0. Short week, and Carolina has to travel with people that make up a football team. Sure you never know, but nothing these teams did in the offseason warranted them being on Thursday this year. This would've been better off buried on Sunday afternoon with Jacksonville & San Francisco playing on Prime instead
-
Even the mental challenges would give someone an edge over someone else
-
The only storyline here is that Chicago has a chance to improve their second first round pick (the one they earned in exchange for Carolina obtaining Bryce Young). Or the Panthers can do whatever it takes to make sure the Bears don't profit, but I don't think they'll have much success
-
It's still a bit too early to totally agree with that scenario, but anyone sitting with Bruce at the end is okay. On the other hand, there are several people that also deserve to get shut out, not just Bruce. To be honest, I don't know or think I'm a fan of someone getting bagel'd at the end. It's more common than not, I get it, but it's rather vexatious that over the past several seasons (since the return of the show) someone doesn't get a single vote. Yet the eventual winner loses the shutout since one outcast goes against everybody else to give a vote to the lesser of two evils. I don't have a huge issue with it, but I am sick of 7-1-0 being the final tally. I'd prefer something like 5-3-0, 4-something-something or even 6-2-1. Finally, Bruce actually doing well might not be that surprising. In the past, he'd get some votes over someone that did nothing & was invisible for the most part. However, similar to Kaleb as mentioned (and Jake FWIW), you just don't see those players make it to the end or earn respect if & when they get there
-
I'm rooting for a stick. 7-1-nothing for sole survivor
-
100% I did like the contest, but it would've been better pre-merge From there, merge, everyone is at risk & everyone is on the jury
