I feel bad for Villanova, but they weren't winning tonight EVEN with Justin Moore

LexieLily: In the past, I would have "favorited" your post with laugher but today I did not. I'm sorry. It has nothing to do with you at all; not a shot as you, period. It's just me shaking my head at the situation where some nobody that has done nothing ever feels the need to eject itself as a part of the game on hand. I actually thought about this last night, before learning that this has occurred yet again. In my opinion: it's not funny. It didn't help it was inappropriate. I can't stand and clap/applaud security for allowing this (to get to this point). Those players fought to get to where they are, and there's a problem to where interference gets to that point. I'd be concerned as a spectator that the security in some/several of these games are sub-par at best. LexieLily & twoods: I'm with you. I'm in the Lakers-free NBA postseason. Nothing against James and Davis. I think a postseason with them is good for business, but only if they're among the best in the league. It's a total disaster, rest is needed, and maybe even a nice overhaul. If they backdoor, they're getting pummeled. Sure the bottom seed has had success, but it's usually when they bottom seed is rolling prior to the postseason Lady Whistleup & emmawoodhouse: Agree here as well. However, there is some concern (except for Magog) that Curry could fall victim to a setback, but what makes Golden State great is how they manage their players at the right times. Coaching & leadership is imperative.

Man, I think tonight's a night for a historic prediction-hedge! On another note, nothing against Stanford, but I'm glad Connecticut won last night. That was a very good game, and down to the end too. I wasn't worried for South Carolina taking care of Louisville; I think they'll get it on Sunday. It would be nice to see UConn win again though. The good news for Paige Bueckers is her team got to the point where there isn't a blemish at all. That's in addition to being rather elite!

I'd say no. Instead, there's a competitive reality show with one of 12 participants to win the right to put their image up for display over this "breaking news"

IMO, the big thing he errored on here (and really it isn't that big) is if he's such a big fan, then how are you scheduling a concert opposite the Final Four

For what it's worth, they do have Leftwich there. Plus, I didn't expect Arians to stay around as long as several people did. I don't know if Byron is an answer, but him as a successor wasn't so far-fetched during Bruce's tenure in Tampa. To be honest, while most couldn't predict this happening when it did (being official), I was actually thinking of how NFL news, or news related to Tom Brady would surface during the "Michael Krzyzewski True Series Finale Week"

For what it's worth, if Favre doesn't blow it (almost as bad as Carroll) in the Superdome 12 years prior, we would not have any overtime rule changes!

I'm not sure Brady would go to Miami; he has a better shot at winning in Tampa IMO. I think he could actually clinch the league MVP with the Bucs. Though an in-state move would make sense, as I'm not sure TB12 wants to get slapped at the NFL Honors for holding onto a letter and a bottle of wine!

Meanwhile, I'd put a very short video of Scrooge McDuck diving into (one of) his vaults/pools of pure golden coins as if to come up with an opinion of who a CBS/TBS/NCAA exec might be emulating tonight in the aftermath of the Regional and the prelude to the Final Four. Instead, I'm getting a head start on my report for the NCAA Tournament and next week's game. I guess I get the hate for it, but TBH, it should make for some competitive games (or not). The ratings might top the record. Well, viewership, but I don't know about Bird vs Magic

I sorta hope it's North Carolina advancing. Though I'd clinch the victory in my bracket I believe if St. Pete makes it to the Superdome. Saint Peter's winning out (knocking off the combo of UNC/Duke and then Kansas if not Nova or the U) is a possibility. It's doubtful, but while it would be special, I'd be a little pissed. I had the money to bet on the Peacocks to win the NCAA Tournament. A $1700 bet for then winning 6 games would have been very good

I'm not going to say college hoops is scripted tonight, but based on the second game, if the Peacocks are up 10 points, to leave with success, they have to truly behave as if they're trailing. Unless they truly believe their Regional Finals matchup isn't 8-5 but actually FIVE-ON-FIVE!

Looks like there's a sudden movement for a Tampa to Miami trade for TB12... ETA: That was a rumor I heard. Just adds to a crazy off-season. The Rap Sheet, who, along with Schefty did not make mention themselves (meaning it's not happening), said it didn't make sense when discussing with McAfee. Meh; that would be totally bonkers. Tom would've stayed retired before going to Miami. Brady's still under contract with Tampa; still a better shot at success than in a stacked AFC (unless he returned to New England, where a stacked AFC means nothing)

Many people will argue or discuss what went into the decision, what the real motive was for, and who made the call overall. It did seem to come outta nowhere, but as mentioned, the plans to ease restrictions were there for sometime. This was being discussed even though it appeared the mayor changed his mind out of nowhere. I don't care for Kyrie's position on the vaccine, but on the court, whenever he plays or played, he's been pretty good this year. It's likely good for business, not just for the owners but for the workers within the sports (Yankees included) for your team to be at the max and probably win and advance (postseason time) as much as possible. The decisions one way or another each have their own pros and cons. The NFL eventually went to a stance on only removing people if they're showing symptoms, and I guess there was an argument that it should apply to Kyrie as well. Not really just Kyrie, but everyone else, vaxxed or un-vaxxed

KD > Holmgreen. The latter does have a chance to prove me wrong, but it might take his entire career (and KD would have to suck going forward) I'm not sure giving Gonzaga a lower seed changes anything. If so, it'll mean a faster exit. FWIW, I don't think I'd overrate the Zags right now. It's not easy to win the NCAA Tournament. Other than Villanova, no one has had as much success over the past 6 years. HM to North Carolina, Virginia, and Baylor since they won. Still it's easier said than done to win the dance. Mark Few still doesn't have a championship, but FWIW, Coach K won 5 in over 4 decades, while Boeheim has been the guy at Syracuse for close to a half century but only one title during his tenure

Haha. C'mon man; The Steelers would never acquire Mayfield LOL. More possible than impossible if Cleveland cut someone like Chubbs or Garrett. Someone like Hunt Pittsburgh might think of for sometime longer than Baker. While there's a need at QB, there is a need at RB to take some of the load off of Harris. I'll admit it'll be funny as hell if Pittsburgh cut Mason Rudolph for Baker Mayfield but the Browns probably keep him until they get something for him from the NFC (even if it's a sixth rounder)

And not just money but lots of draft picks. So if he does turn out to be a bust what is Cleveland going to do? They do what they'd mastered since their "return" in 1999: Lose week in and week out, suck for the first overall pick, treat that guy like nothing, and finish below the basement annually

I think I'm going to miss those. Maybe they'll continue if he can find work, but as much as I'll move on fine without them, those were kind of neat. Detroit sucks. They have the longest playoff drought. No one wants to talk about the Lions; ew. I will say this: they did drop the ball with Adian, but not before dropping the ball to try to win a game. Jacksonville is not going to trade with them, I don't believe. On that note, Hutchinson is likely going first to the Jaguars. I think it's a definite no for a QB taken first overall (first time since 2017). However, there is a chance that one gets selected No 1 via a trade. For example, if Carolina trades with Jacksonville, who has enough to afford giving it up, I could see someone like Pickett getting picked by the Panthers of the NFL. I say this because it would a safe bet in case Detroit (or even Houston) gets Kenny ahead of Carolina. I think I'd be pissed (and sad for Pickett) if he ended up as a Lion or a Texan. However, I guess Willis or Kenny as a prospect might be the reason they haven't moved off of Goff yet. Plus I think they said they were satisfied with him, for some reason

Yeah, I agree about Mariota. His move to Atlanta does not make any sense. Except for one thing: youth. Matt Ryan will be 37 in about a couple months, and he doesn't move around that much. Better to make the move now than next year when you can't. Marcus can't stay healthy; while that's the case, he can move a lot more than Ryan. Plus, it might be a bridge year for 2023. They're not doing anything with Tampa in their division. Plus, they have games at Baltimore & at Cincinnati; forget about it for the Falcons in 2022. Yeah, the QB thing, if you think about it, is just for show and tell. Well, it looks like it. Again, better to move along a year early than a year too late. Baker to SF? Meh. Great points, but it might be what needs to happen for him to get back to the AFC in 2023 (a la Favre in 2008-2009). The difference obviously is Brett is a HOF and Mayfield isn't

We don't know that. It's possible that they were claiming the moral high ground. The things that worked in their favor are exactly what you stated, so it would never have come up that they couldn't take the guy due to bad PR. Furthermore, DeShaun hasn't really done too much. I wouldn't say bust-level since he's actually done pretty good in that place down in Houston. Two division titles, one playoff win, but with a rather decent defense, the overall accomplishments (no more than just that win over Buffalo) are pathetic after five years to where he's a must have at all costs
