I think it was more of a sloppy battle than a defensive battle. JMO. Still a little pissed that the 11-10 score is no longer exclusive. Really in a joking sense, but the anger is due to the fact that the planned option of Yankees & Red Sox in case this SNF game died in terms of interest was scrubbed

Looks like they called Yankess/BoSox. New York gets the sweep; a rain delay as Judge was on deck after 6 full innings

Man this game is brutal. Though it kept me occupied by pondering the biggest out in left field scores. Still looking for a 5-4 final football score, but the current score of 7-5 would be an NFL first if it holds

Speaking of Jacksonville.... Both started with a bold leader as HR, ended up with a better HC on his second stint (with the first stint being successful)

I guess I'll take it, since it's the only thing I'm currently correct on. I should repost my "predictions" for a good laugh before I do a do over at Week 5

The 4th AP Poll (NOT POOL), which was released this afternoon, has the Top 5 remaining as they were headed into Saturday, September 24. The bottom half of the Top 10 (save for Oklahoma State) moved up, mainly due to Oklahoma's tumble down 12 spots from 6 to 18. Penn State is just outside the Top 10 (at 11), and Oregon has basically recovered & is at 13. Arkansas fell from 10 to 20; while Texas A&M had the biggest move up to 17. That's from teams that were ranked in the preceding AP Poll. Texas, Florida, and Miami, schools that have won the title at least once in the past quarter century, all fell from the poll. Despite posting the update for every week, I think the ratings are sorta meaningless. Well, they are meaningful until November hits. A lot of it is legacy-based, but more than not, they are fair. For instance, Pittsburgh was on the way to a Top 10 or Top 15 ranking before losing in OT against Tennessee (only loss for the 2021 ACC Champions). A home loss, but one where they lost their QB and nearly their backup QB. The Vols, an SEC team, is undefeated & knocked off a pretty decent team in Florida. PITT nearly dropped out of the rankings, in fact, they dropped again after a win (courtesy of a decent Texas A&M win who was ranked just below after Week 2, at 24. No movement for the Panthers after a big win on Saturday. Meanwhile, Oregon was a Top Ten team, and got booted outright after a road loss to Georgia (yeah I know it was ugly). That was their only loss; no need to drop them out over the reigning National Champions. They are back up to 13. Still a lot of football left, but it is a combination of results, tradition, and legacy

To be fair, Ken Dorsey was in a spot where he was less likely to get caught on camera than Brady. If he's on the field, he might not have had that volume of a meltdown

It's a two-horse race regardless of his status, IMHO. Maybe a 2 and a half. Forgot to mention about Cincy being a great second half team. Miami has back to back comebacks, but if they're behind, they can rally all they want. Chances are that it'll be offset with what the Bengals can do. Cincinnati is a great team, but a division foe. Despite that, I'm glad they won today. Sure they were sorta cocky last year, but that aside, they're mostly great guys, as a unit trying to persevere. Overall classy

It sorta breaks their cachet as the unbeatable team of 2022, no? The Dolphins are giving notice that last week's come from behind win was no fluke, and now the Bills will be looking over their shoulders. It does. On the other hand, as mentioned, it's a wake up call, and an early on. FWIW, Buffalo hadn't played anyone. The win/game against Los Angeles was a surprise, but Tennessee is not great. They survived against Vegas, but what have the Raiders won this season. Meanwhile, I'll still pump the brakes against Miami. They might not be for real, but just better than in years past. I just checked and the game at Cincinnati is this Thursday. Wasn't sure when it was but I knew the Bengals host them. If they beat the defending AFC champs on the road during a short week, then that changes things for sure!

Painful loss for Buffalo, but sorta not a big deal. This was the game they probably could've afforded to lose. A division loss on the road; they'll get the Dolphins in a cold month of December. While they would've been ahead of Kansas City, it helps that the 2019 NFL Champs lost
-
What a game in Miami. But man, they would've been better off with a GWFG
-
Huge stop for Miami! Buffalo with a couple TOs but this outright upset may just play out!

Too late for me! Though I've reacted. In other words, flipping through the games during commercials, with additional options including the Presidents Cup & Red Zone

While I'm glad Tua returned, you gotta question the concussion protocol. Maybe he passed it and could do so again, but it's fair for someone to have cause for concern

I guess I'll look forward to xaxat's comments should xaxat respond, but there are too many negative places in history that an octopus couldn't count on its hands. Fortunately, Pittsburgh soon managed to regroup and win 3 titles in the following 25 years

Week 3 Picks include: Chicago, Las Vegas, Kansas City, Miami, Minnesota, Baltimore, Cincinnati, Philadelphia, New Orleans, Jacksonville, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Tampa Bay, San Francisco, New York The Big Nationals: GOTW, SNF, and MNF all have 1-point lines, with the Buccaneers, 49ers, and Giants being favored. The Packers/Bucs one is questionable; I think the former is getting routed big time. The weather, venue, Tampa defense, and questionable Packers’ offense may have FOX switching to Rams/Cards midway through the second quarter/half. I’ll settle for the Over in SNF and the Under in the other two

Week 4 picks include: Clemson, Michigan, Iowa State, Kansas, Georgia, PSU, Pittsburgh, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas, Cincinnati, Miami, App State, Oregon, Ole Miss, Arkansas, Rutgers, Ohio State, Alabama, LSU, NC State, Oklahoma, USC, BYU, Utah, Washington. Really nothing focused on the spread right now. Moneyline stuff TBH

I was sorta hoping Pujols would've gotten to 700 against the Pirates. As mentioned, about 20 to 25 percent of his homers happened at the expense of the Buccos. That would have been so fitting. Either way, so glad he got there, definitely a classy guy and future hall of famer
-
Nah, it's just tradition

As mentioned elsewhere, it's mind-blowing that the guy got the same suspension as Sarver. I did say that not every case is the same & each case is separate. Fair or not, he's done in Boston. Whether it's disclosed that more stuff has happened or not, what he's going down for is not cool, really

Other than the bye week, where it may be too late, if there was ever a time to make a change, this would be the week. Trubisky is not the answer, but Pickett changes nothing. As long as Matt Canada is employed and in the OC role, it's nothing but failure for the Pittsburgh Steelers. One of the problems Pittsburgh has is that they procrastinate like a champ. Sure their culture is great. Sure their standards are okay. Though not really since the original one hasn't been reached in a very, very, long time. The fact is, there is no urgency towards making moves toward achieving the ultimate success. The only urgency is slopping together 8-9 wins to preserve years where you have never have more losses than wins. Getting to the playoffs is the current goal. Not even winning ONE game, just getting there. That has to suck if you're a spectator. Other than local media, Colin Cowherd, who has more or less "disrespected" the Steelers (not in a derogatory way, just not really praising them when SteelerNation thinks it's warranted i.e. 11-0 to 12-5), said that they're slow to adapt to the current era. They went all in to get Kenny Pickett, who was built to play right away. Then they don't even give him a chance for the starting job, but the person they inserted, Mitch, well, it's not exciting. One more thing I'll say. There's a "next man up" staffer in Mike Sullivan, who I think is better fit for the spot over Matt Canada. If a move were to be made today or this weekend, he'd be the guy. I'd prefer they look on the outside for people that are much, much better. My concern is that rather than seeing what you have with Sullivan, they'll wait until 2023 to promote him. Then if it doesn't work out, the Steelers will say it was his first year, meaning they'll bring back what didn't work for the full 2024 season before parting ways. As a result, nothing more than blah by mid-decade. Before the offense gets better, if ever, TJ Watt will be old, Cam Hayward will be old, Minkah may not be as dymanic. You've wasted prime years on the defensive side. It would help to have decency on both sides, but when you don't, you cannot achieve success
-
It's not funny precisely because it's truthful. Well, he's not on the team anymore. I'm more focused toward those that are there, not people that aren't there

Just don't step on it when things don't work out tonight
