I have no idea what's happening on my end. This is the second time in as many days that my post has ended in the wrong thread. Totally unbelievable. From the baseball area but before Giants/Packers kickoff...

Well, I was planning on putting all of my Sunday picks at the same time + MNF. Despite being unavailable for the second consecutive Sunday full of great action, I'll get them shortly before the 1:00 kickoff. However, I guess I better post for the early Sunday 9:30 game. Green Bay, as the designated home team, is favored by 8.5 over New York in London. 41.5 is the over/under. The Packers & Giants game ends in a tie. This isn't vintage Packers and the GMEN haven't been that bad so far. So New York definitely covers, and forget the over hitting here. Packers struggled at home against the all but winless Patriots. It's a tough spot to shine for anyone, so this could be low-scoring

Well, I picked one game to go the distance. Just not the right one, but the one I'm happy for. Sorta wanna see the Mets regain whatever made them good before their collapse (not something I'd say about 30-35 years ago). Heck of a run from Pujols. I would've been okay to see him exit outright with another title. Which would've been pretty doubtful. Not going to lose sleep over St. Louis. Man, that Blue Jays/Mariners game was brutal (for the former). While New York survives, the American League playoffs and its League Division Series are completely set. Man, 8-1. Even though Seattle had a game to give, totally brutal. Hats off to the Mariners though! BTW, I don't know about the Braves repeating, but I also don't know how they'll handle their failed bid to do so if they win the NL pennant only to lose to New York
  4. Well, I almost went perfect I think. In terms of moneyline. Unlike the NFL, I usually rate my picks against the spread since College Football is loopsided a lot more than the pros. So ATS, I did pretty good, not great, but I think I was wrong with V Tech, Kentucky, and FSU. Still a great day of college football!

C'Mon Mets. Don't be like Toronto. Be you!
  6. Well, whew! Almost broke my TV!
  7. Meh re: Sparty. They could be good, but in a conference like the Big 10, when the legends are great this year, they probably weren't doing much more than the Clancy's Pepper Bowl. Yeah they were in a NY6 bowl and were fortunate against Pitt, but what helped there was a down year for Penn State + Michigan in the CFB Playoff X Ohio State in the patented Rose Bowl (due to their rivals being playoff bound). Speaking of Pitt, it's amazing how Pat Narduzzi was winless against the program even when they were times when the Tarheels were winless elsewhere. At least 2015 was okay for them. At least with a win over the Panthers, it'll be a decent team under a legend in Mack Brown

Survey says? Toronto says "no thanks" to advance to an ALDS. What a choke job. The Blue Jays die so Toronto fans will have to hope for a good dream of seeing maybe the Maple Leafs hoist a cup while they wait for the 2023 MLB Season
  9. Michigan State has road games at Illinois, Michigan, and Penn State. Those are 3 tough matchups right there (and not many people are betting on them being okay in the other four). So 3 games you can mark down as an L, and they already have 4 losses. Despite their stumbles, Pitt might survive to keep the Coastal, but despite the chance to successfully defend it, no way they're beating Clemson to retain the ACC title. However, they'll have to do something they struggled to do most of the past decade. North Carolina might be really good, and I think right now, the best team to defeat Clemson in an ACC Title Game. So Miami isn't much of a threat other than damage to a record, but UNC might be the best team in the conference other than Clemson or NC State. Texas Tech & Oklahoma State was tough to forecast. That was a decent game

Condolences to Mr. Jim Nantz and family on the passing of his mother (she was 91). I believe this was about two decades removed from Jim's father. News made by Adam Zucker on College Football Today.
  11. Sorry, the original post here was one I meant to post in a different thread even though the news occurred on a college football TV show
  12. Go figure I'd be wrong with Michigan & Georgia (both against the spread). Michigan probably covers without the emotion, and Georgia sorta had a garbage TD, and Auburn sucks. I might have gone with a push with Alabama & Texas A&M, but can't do that with a half point. So, The Tide outright (24.5 favorite). Over actually hits (48.5)

Yeah it was amazing that Tampa made it. Some of their postseason decisions over the years have not been good (like going with analytics in a World Series elimination game). However, even though Cleveland had a game to give, a pretty decent defensive battle. Some awesome pitching. 39 Strikeouts and 14/5 innings without a score from either team. Both are MLB postseason records

Man, what a beautiful double-play to end the Top 14th!
  16. Whoops almost forgot the Ohio State / Michigan State stuff! Under here, and MSU will cover (IMO) but probably won't win the game ETA: 26.5 spread for OSU & an 64.5 O/U per FanDuel
  17. An update to the scary scene in Indiana. Michigan RB Coach has communicated to the staff. Looks like he'll be okay. Georgia favored by 27.5 over Auburn. Too many points this year, but not that many. I’d tease it down FWIW (to maybe 20.5 or 24.5). No way the over hits. Meanwhile, ND is a 3.5-point favorite. Can’t see them covering, nor the 51.5 over hitting. Clemson should cover the 20.5. The over hits. Heck, Clemson might get there themselves!
  18. What makes a blowout suck is when you picked the victim of the blowout. Of course, getting any pick wrong isn't great, but it happens. A winning pick is great, and you're at ease (for the most part) when it's over after 3 quarters. That being said, despite picking Tennessee & Texas, both games are not good. Blowouts are common in College Football, but these are conference games. Sure you want distance, but that's really only meaningful in the final quarter of regulation. I expected a little more fight & competition from LSU and Oklahoma
  19. A lot of great games today. From "The Oldest Rivalry in the South" to A&M and Bama, it'll help toward skipping my second consecutive Sunday of NFL action. Week 6 Picks: Texas, Michigan, Tennessee, Kansas, Cincinnati, Georgia, UCLA, Oklahoma State, Virginia Tech, Ohio State, Clemson, USC, BYU, Iowa State, Kentucky, Illinois, Wake Forest, Alabama, NC State, Arizona Texas favored by 7.5. 65.5 O/U. Over barely hits, but I think the Sooners can cover Michigan might obtain the over by themselves, I think they get 75% there. It’s still a conference opponent; but if they shut them out it probably will not happen. Indiana is undefeated at home (albeit against non-elite programs), so I think they’ll have some success. Anyway, Michigan finds a way to cover the 22.5 and with an 58.5 O/U, the over hits easily. I believe this may definitely be the first time CBS had a primetime game on the same night Notre Dame had a home primetime game (as the home team in Vegas). Could be several factors to that

No point in doing a prediction for the entire postseason, even though there apparently isn't any reseeding. Anyway, my picks: San Diego, St. Louis, Toronto, and Cleveland all advance. Everyone sweeps except St. Louis

Every letter of the story made me happy. Revenge for 1927! FYI: 506 Sports has the announcer pairings, and I believe they mentioned the League's Division & Championship Series (as well as the Fall Classic) at a different time

At the end of the day, someone in the history of Planet Earth would have traded this game for 2004 Penn State against 2004 Iowa. If they had to do it again in terms of what football to watch!

I'm sorry, but there's no sympathy for those that "wanted" to watch the game. This had skip all over it since the start of this week. TBH, the next best game isn't for another 3 weeks

After over 8 and a half years here, while my posts didn't look too bad, I was so clueless forever. The separation between unrelated content led to way too much spacing. Thank you!

Looks like Denver is favored by 3.5 over Indianapolis. That's what FanDuel has as of this post, and I believe that's been the number everywhere else. 41.5 Over/Under seems high. I cannot see both teams getting half of that. Well, because you can't. Seriously, I don't think both are each getting 21. Maybe in a rather rare case someone goes off. Both the Colts and Broncos have been underwhelming. I don't care if they topped Kansas City and San Francisco, respectively. If they turn it around, that's great. It's a tough ask on a short week; Broncos FTW, but Indy covers since the former will find a way to keep it close when it may not be necessary. Feels like 16-14 tonight
