I think Wifey described herself in a public forum as a "kidult" who doesn't use birth control, so it's possible they deserve each other. Previously post on the pregnancy announcement. It's nauseating. Now, what WE deserve is Cierra and Robin. And I guess Max can stay.

"Basically, like, I am technically, like, engaged or whatever." FEEL THE PASSION.

I like your migraine theory. Migraines can make even the most stable people act irrationally just to try to make it go away, and if Schuler had additional issues with substance abuse or something similar, that could easily have layered with a migraine.

What, no pictures of Dr. Daniel Dae Kim? Do you not love us anymore?

Dr. Daniel Dae Kim for series MVP. One of the old school Lost recaps described his face as designed by a CAD program from the future calibrated for perfect balance and symmetry.

If it makes you feel any better, I believed Jeff Fahey when he said in an interview that his character Lapidus was most definitely absolutely dead on "Lost."

He's cute, I guess, if you like them square-jawed and ripped. I don't think Ella adds anything to the cast, which is already pushing at the edges of too large with the addition of Charlotte. They both seem like they're there because somebody owed the actresses a favor or something. Trixie plays better off Charlotte, and if Charlotte and Dan hook up again then she can be in play there, and if you want "childlike" then you might as well use the actual child in your established cast (also, the little girl who plays Trixie is adorable and I love her). Between Dan, Chloe, Lucifer, Pierce, and any number of extras who could be given small speaking roles, there are more than enough people to do scenes at the station already. What skills does Ella bring that couldn't easily be elided with "here's the report from Forensics?"

Thank goodness, some potential celestial shakeup. I have no idea what Lucifer actually wants anymore. Yes, he wants his devil face back and his wings (which we never see anyway so why do they even matter) gone, but... okay, so he gets those back and so what? He doesn't plan to go back to Hell so it doesn't actually matter that he's the devil, as far as I can tell. For a lot of this season, he's basically just been a rich playboy who could be replaced with any number of other rich playboys. I'm here for SATAN IN LA and I would like to get that back.

I kind of think the writers have forgotten he's Satan.

All of this I think speaks to what I feel is missing from this season. The writers or producers have made a major misstep in giving all of the supernatural knowledge to Linda and none to Chloe. This automatically means Linda's relationships with Lucifer, Amenadiel, Maze, and any other celestial beings are infinitely more layered and complicated than Chloe's are. It automatically makes her MUCH more interesting than Chloe, because she's the one who's grappling with all of the existential questions that this knowledge brings up- instead of the female lead. And it doesn't help that Linda has a little sparkle that's just not there in Chloe the way she's written as a pretty average suburban working mom. If Chloe believed that Lucifer is literally who he says he is (I mean, he's never backed off on that), and if she knew that she had some part in whatever celestial chess game is going on with him, wouldn't that make for a far more intriguing show? I miss Maze, but I get that babies gotta baby. I hope she comes back next ep.

Whoops, you're right, I got their names crossed. But yes, I agree that casting would have worked better! I feel like there's been such a run of "he's a dashing, charismatic leading man! she's a block of wood with nice hair! together they fight crime!" shows over the past ten years or so (off the top of my head, Castle, The Mentalist, etc., YMMV, don't @me) that I would really love a female lead who can really hold her own against Tom Ellis.

I've always thought it was strange that the show deemphasizes Lucifer's glorious potential queerness so much. Aside from a brief moment in the pilot(?) when we glimpsed a man in his bed (along with a woman) he's been a performative ogler of women but there's been very little suggestion of anything else. He's SATAN, shouldn't he be more polymorphous? So I was pleased to see some of that finally coming in. And while I can swallow Lucifer becoming a "better" person, I can in no way come around to the idea that he should be interested in settling down and playing Monopoly. Neither Ella nor Charlotte feels like a remotely integrated part of the show. I get that they have Katee Sackhoff and they want to use her, but... maybe they shouldn't? What is she bringing to the table? I would like to see much less of either or both of them and more of Linda. Her scenes with Amenadiel are some of the best, and their friendship feels much more real to me than any of Lucifer's. She has much more charisma than Chloe.

I literally, physically winced at Brandon's godawful attempt at a Monty Python impression. The gender dynamics on this damn show just cause me pain.

NO. TRACY. GIVE UP. HE IS THE ACTUAL WORST. Augh, she's even baby-voicing like Kelly. Get out while you still have some dignity. I do like it when Steve's heart of gold shines through.

Is Mariah's accent supposed to be Texas? Cause it sounds way more Louisiana to me.

JESUS. TRACY. DUMP HIM. HE SUCKS. SO DOES DONNA BUT SHE'S LESS YOUR PROBLEM RIGHT NOW.

For all the narrative emphasis given (by both scripted and unscripted media) to the idea of criminal profiling, has it actually ever helped catch a criminal? Every case I can think of, they've caught their guy and THEN said "look, he fits our profile!" Which... great, but I'm not convinced it actually contributes in a very practical way to the solution of crimes. If I'm wrong about this and there are examples where profiling has actually PREVENTED a crime, please let me know?

Donna and David do look great in the 40s gear. Maybe because their clothes fit.

I find it... difficult to believe that this is the first time he's ever heard this kind of criticism of his personal brand of crackpottery? Shouldn't he be used to it by now and decrying us all as haters or the Illuminati or something? Yeah, I can't imagine why her family doesn't want to talk to him.

Sweet MERCY, Renner is exhausting. It's never been more clear that this isn't about Maura Murray for him, it's about... well, him. Has he ever even bothered to consider the most likely possibility, which is that she MOST LIKELY was drunk, scared of being arrested, walked off and got lost? That we have him to thank for Tim and Lance, and the ongoing attempts of internet "detectives" to harass Murray's family, is just icing.

I kinda want to go find Caitlyn and give that poor girl a hug. What kind of experiences must she have had to think she deserves to be treated like this?
