  1. The bad mutants will run off with the baby (because that's who they secretly wanted all along) and leave Polaris behind for some reason or another, so Polaris will have to join up with the good mutants to find her kidnapped baby. Then the kid can show up in in the final season, conveniently aged, and save the day.
  2. I assumed only angels could pass the barrier. Waverly was part angel and Doc recently had drunk an angel dry, so had a lot of angel mojo still flowing through him.
  3. Who in the heck would answer their door on Purge night? That scene with the boss was ridiculous. It's not like you'll have adorable trick or treaters on the other side.
  4. I'm teaching at the time, so I can't play either! I hope they vary the starting times on this thing or it's not really a great app for many people who, you know, work. It's not like I can tell my middle school class to hold on for five minutes so I can play on my phone outside, since the reception in my room is so terrible the game wouldn't connect in there anyway.
  5. I would think there would be a lot more raping going on, but they haven't even mentioned that. Everyone appears to be more into the bloodshed. With all crime being legal, my main concern would be the kids with asshole parents. That would give me nightmares.
  6. That's something that bothers me, as well. It's great for both Sean and Meghan to try to find something to supplement their incomes, but living entirely off what they make with tie-dye and t-shirts doesn't seem likely. They have SSI(?) income, undoubtedly, but it can't be enough to pay long-term for the nice place that Rachel and Meghan were sharing if they wanted to live somewhere comparable. Meghan and Sean don't run their businesses and the parents keep telling them they'll be doing all of this on their own soon; it feels dishonest. What they need to be talking about is finding a trustworthy business manager if the parents aren't going to be doing the job of actually running the companies. They need someone to handle the stock and the finances. Yes, Meghan and Sean can help make decisions and share design ideas, but someone with a little business acumen would help the businesses last and get connections that could help with longevity. Meghan got extremely lucky that Sanrio was looking for some good PR. How long that relationship continues is still up in the air, but it is a lucky break that would not have happened without the move to CA and the show. From what I recall, Sean's t-shirt business did start after the show began and probably after Megology got a bump from the publicity, though the shirts seem very show specific and interest will drop once the show ends for good. I started to watch Born This Way because it was supposed to show me the reality of the lives of young adults with Down Syndrome, but it doesn't appear to be showing us the reality of [some of] their lives, but the reality the parents want to represent. Don't get me wrong, I enjoy this show - maybe not so much the Meghan and Sean parts, but the rest of the cast is great and their stories seem a bit more realistic. They're dealing with the struggles of living without the daily help of parents, figuring out transportation, taking care of themselves, and working. We've seen amazing growth in most of the cast, with Elena and Rachel being the real standouts. My favorite part in the last episode was when Rachel's father said something along the lines of, "It's faster and easier if we do it, but [Rachel] can do it and we need to let [her]." That is a message that spoke to me. I've mentioned before I had a parent in my classroom that did not allow her daughter to do anything to care for herself - pretty much everything you can think of that allows someone to be even a moderately independent person. I wished Rachel's parents could have talked to her and given her this great advice.
  7. I don't like the name of Sean's business. I mentioned that on Twitter and was sent an article explaining how it got its name. It wasn't like it was particle physics - I figured out the connection when they first mentioned it last season, so that didn't win me over. I'm not altogether fond of the name Megology either, so I thought maybe I just disliked name themed businesses. Then I admitted to myself that I don't much like Sean or Megan so that might be why I find their business names irritating. House of Rachel or Elenagance probably wouldn't bother me so much. Yes, I am a horrible person apparently. I loved that they went to self-defense! I think they need to add that to PE requirements because it's more useful than skipping. It would be great in middle school and high school. Rachel is really blossoming living more independently.
  8. When Dwayne and Anne left to get the beer and go to the Bahamas at the end, they sounded obviously dubbed. It makes me wonder if there were other jokes promoting the next season that were replaced upon news of the cancellation.
  9. Can you imagine? From previous episodes it appeared that Megan could not even do her own laundry, so poor Rachel will probably do it out of kindness and end up the Cinderella of the household.
  10. I was amused that the show managed to completely avoid mentioning that those Real Dolls are life size sex toys made to order. That information might have put a different twist on the ability to give the robot a certain personality like they were doing on the show. "Make her more needy and jealous. What would that be like?"
  11. With this show, I wouldn't be surprised if Ruval is in witness protection (willingly or not) and will show up a season from now just as Desna's about to marry Roller. Nothing ruins a wedding like the first non-dead husband showing up!
  12. It has to have run its course since both the local police and the FBI know about the drug operation, how it was being run, and who was running it. To continue to do the same thing would be foolish. It was necessary to come up with a new way to break the law, at this point.
  13. I had that exact same thought! In a fit of pique, I wanted the rules to state that none of the items created could be a bar cart. Alas, the fates were not on my side and the show I was watching had the de rigueur two.
  14. Same here. I was very annoyed that I had to wait a day and then look it up on SyFy's website. My DVR also failed to record something else, so I'm hoping this is not some system-wide failure as Trial & Error is on tomorrow and I shan't be home. I can't miss that!
  15. I wish Roller would learn how his buttons work, as well. I was replying to another poster who only mentioned Desna. I'm reading a book that touches on this button conversation. It's called How to Invent Everything (in case you travel through time, get lost, and need to reinvent civilization) and there was a section about buttons that said, "That's multiple millennia in which humans walked around with buttons sewn on their shirts [for decoration], thinking they all looked pretty sharp, when actually they looked like big idiots who didn't even know how a button works." (emphasis the author, not me) I literally laughed out loud thinking of this show.
  16. I'm tired of seeing her bra. She has some nice outfits for her figure, but she appears to not know how buttons work since her shirt is never closed. As a fellow ample bosomite, I know she can't blame the twins for that continual sartorial mishap. My first thought was, "What? No foreplay, Roller? Ouch. It's no wonder she attempted to murder you and then hooked up with Ruval." Roller does not seem to know what he's doing which makes me wonder why all these ladies keep running after him. Maybe it's because Desna found someone who understands her confusion over buttons.
  17. I thought there was no penetration, except for his fingers in her mouth. I saw it as aggressive frottage, with both remaining fully clothed. In other words, he was dry humping her butt. It was undoubtedly assault since she didn't want it, but there was no penile penetration of any orifices.
  18. I think the reveal was supposed to be that there is no such thing as the perfect Plum is striving for. It doesn't exist. Every woman that Plum sees as perfectly pretty (and therefore happy, in her opinion) is really pulling off the ultimate con job. Julia was the magical Beauty Fairy of Daisy Chain, and in the end she was wearing a wig, fake lashes, falsies, heavy makeup and Spanx to create that image. Kitty, with her dyed hair, starvation diet, and tons of makeup, goes almost daily to the beauty closet for another cream, eyeliner or whatever to make her feel beautiful. Julia's reveal was the rewind of every Cinderella story - yeah, you can feel like a princess for a little while, but it takes a lot of work, and in the end you're still just the same girl with dust in her hair that you were before. Plum will still be Plum, which means she likely won't be happy even in a thinner body because then she'll have to worry about all the other things she'll then find imperfect about herself.
  19. I used that in a lesson this year, though it was "equal" vs. "fair". I wish I could remember what it was, but I'd have to scan through my lesson plans for that since my brain has turned off for summer vacation. It started a good conversation with my students, though!
  20. I recently started watching this and binged what was available, but add me to the Sweet/Vicious list! I loved that show and was salty with a side of beef that it was cancelled. I was hoping this show would follow in that vein, though I'm still not sure where it is heading, yet.
  21. It's shocking, I know, but some women don't actually want a baby and are perfectly content with their lives. It's OK to have a character represent that demographic, Show(s).

  23. I was horrified at the vinyl flooring. They say they want to save these homes, but when they say "save" do they mean restore or just make livable? From what I've seen, there really isn't much restoring involved, just tearing down and rebuilding to modern liking. I 100% understand the need to update, but not to throw out everything that made the home interesting in the first place. And I'm really tired of being able to see the kitchen from the front door. I may be the only person left on the planet that has zero interest in seeing your kitchen or having you see mine. In other news, I loved the painting of the woman in the hoopskirt in the poltergeist episode. According to the 2 chicks website the artist is Kyle Ragsdale, but it wasn't listed on his site.
  24. Clementine wasn't controlling the Hosts so much as spreading a computer virus that corrupted the Hosts' codes so they would self-destruct through violence whereas Maeve's control was more like a technician at a desk telling them what to do. If given time, Maeve could make permanent changes as she did with Hector's personality, I believe, but when faced with hundreds of rioting Hosts she could only hit the pause button, not go in and fix all the infected code.

    S02.E01: Shook

As bad as it would look on me, I really want to know where to get Jennifer's rainbow bodycon wedding dress. My google-fu is failing me because everything I've found is a mini, not past knee as her dress was.
