  1. Nikki James as Eponine I think. She was in the original cast of Book of Mormon and was quite good there, but yeah, I don't think this particular score is doing her any favors.
  2. Orlando, what's with the terrible spray tan?
  3. I actually agree for most of the series. There are bits that are stronger in one or the other but both are worthwhile. With SuperS I can't think of a single thing I prefer in the anime. Its that bad. And its the only arc where the plot is totally confined to the handful of 'important' episodes. You could skip the majority of the season and miss nothing important. The pacing is just terrible.
  4. "My Only Love," "She's Got The Power," and "The Power of Love" are all great too.
  5. I can't choose between the first three seasons. Classic-It's so damn iconic. It's what you think of when you think Sailor Moon. And the finale-what can I say that hasn't been said? R-The Doom Tree is a nice breather, I like the Four Sisters and Rubeus as antagonists. And Saphir's one of my favorite supporting characters. Crytsal Tokyo as a concept is also really cool. S-OUTERS! I love them all so much. And Hotaru is my favorite senshi. She and Chibi-Usa's little friendship is so sad and sweet. I can't quite get behind Seiya and Usagi in the anime. Way too much "Nice Guy" behavior from my perspective. (Even though she's a girl.) I do like her as a character. Seiya comes off much better to me in the manga and the '96-'98 musicals, though. YMMV of course.
  6. I really love Classic-S. SuperS I loathe, because i read the manga first and it was so much better: Stars I have a lot of mixed feelings about, but a lot of the negatives are just the bad habits of the previous seasons reaching their zenith. The R Movie is IMO damn near perfect. Every character is relevant and gets to have their moments and the climax is pitch-perfect. Moon Revenge FTW.
  7. These were pretty much my exact thoughts. *waves sad little "Ariel and Eric 4evah!" flag circa 1989* Camera One, I giggled through all of your "honest" promotion. Great job!
  8. Heee! That was where the thread name came from, yep. It was during the hot springs episode. The line made perfect sense in the original as Brainwashed!Tux was going by Endymion so he legitimatly had no idea who the hell this "Mamoru" guy is. But since Dic made their changes he ends up telling "Serena" he's "never heard these names" when she calls him Darien, despite walking around as "Prince Darien." They did a slightly better job in Crystal Tokyo where Future!Tux says "They call me King of the Earth" instead of "King Endymion," but it's still a bit awkward. Amusingly they finally called him Endymion during SuperS, but it came straight the hell out of nowhere since they had never ever used it before. Whoops. That said, I have a ton of affection for the Dic dub (well through R anyway), so it's a lovingly mocking thread title.
  9. Super excited! I'm hoping the final animation has a bit more expression in the faces, but otherwise it flows really well.
  10. At Spooky Empire Sean didn't imply he was going anywhere and during the panel Lana said "Pixie dust never lies." My guess he's recurring but they have him on lock for X number of episodes. Maybe Elsa will put him on ice for part of the season or he'll go away with Marian and the Merry Men but then come back.
  11. Heh. Ginny was doing an interview with a late-night show and said something about how they can't do geographic first names like "Austin" because with the "Dallas" last name it will sound like an airport. Also, anyone prepping for the Once Frozen invasion, the cast recording for the musical Idina Menzel's currently starring in, If/Then, has come out and it's also streaming on Spotify. Premise courtesy of Wikipedia: The music is by the guys who did Next To Normal and it's so good. But don't listen unless you're ready to both laugh totally innapropriatly and be punched right in the feels. Sometimes in the same song. My top five songs are "What If?", "What the F***k?", "Some Other Me", "You Learn to Live Without", and "Love While You Can". But really there's only one or two songs that don't grab me. YMMV of course.
  12. Excellent points, stealinghome. I agree that logically it makes the most sense that Lana knew but Regina didn't. Especially since they made such a point of Marian not sharing her identity and implying her family thought she was already dead.
  13. Trailer here and a 5 minute series of clips from the pilot here. The latter surprised me with
  14. I was actually at that panel and I thought it was ambigious as to how much regina knew VS how much Lana knew. Here's a link to the Robin/Regina part of conversation, in case anyone inetrprets it differently.
  15. A thread to post upcoming appearances by the Once cast and crew, or discuss past ones and link to video of panels etc. Please clearly mark when coverage contains spoilers for upcoming episodes. Lana Parilla (Regina), Rebecca Mader (Zelena), Lee Arrenberg (Grumpy) Sean Maguire (Robin), Freya Tingley (Wendy), and Jason Burkart (Little John) were at "Spooky Empire's May-hem". I attended and everyone was really gracious and happy to interact with their fans. Full video of the Once Q&A panel here. Nothing spoilery for next year.
  16. Cindy, I'm so sorry for your loss. Losing a loved one is always hard, whether it's sudden, or drawn out.
  17. I am SO excited. I love pretty much every incarnation of Moon, and I'm curious to see how close "closer to the manga" really is.
  18. I've watched the first batch of subbed episodes on Hulu and all I have to say is: Everything is so freaking pretty. The video, the audio-I'm in heaven. I had the misfortune of getting the ADV boxset of season 1 when it came out, and the difference is night and day.
  19. Hey! I'm SilverShadow, another TWOP refugee. So bummed the site's closing. But great to talk to you all!
