  1. Marcus seems like he would be a total bore to go to Vegas with. Just sayin'.
  2. As soon as they showed Nini telling the servers to start polishing the silverware as their most important opening task, the writing was on the wall.
  3. I never thought I would say this but I actually miss Jorge and Anfisa.
  4. I agree with other posters who think the contest is rigged in favor of the teenage contestants. It seems like that's where the money is in signing new talent on these kinds of shows these days.
  5. I had to wonder if someone turned Reagan's Pro Tools auto-tune off, because she sounded really bad last night -- much worse than she had sounded all season. I think that everyone's been getting the auto-tune treatment the whole season, but it felt like Reagan was unassisted for the first time.
  6. The whole FaceTime call from DeAndre to Reagan was so producer-scripted -- down to the "I love you" parts. Awkward. I can see the producer meeting with DeAndre and telling him to be sure to tell Reagan he loved her. Yuck. Kirk was the weakest link tonight. I dig him, but that was an awful song choice for him. MaKenzie, Sarah Grace, and the Wisconsin guy are the most talented of the gang left, if you ask me. Kennedy is a good performer with a beautiful voice but there is something robotic about her -- too calculated, not enough realness. I can see the producers positioning Chevel (is that her name?) to be the next LeAnn Rimes. Her hand gestures when she sings drive me crazy (but they've gotten really good at cropping that hand stuff out and just showing her face) and she needs a lot of stage presence coaching in general but she has a lot of the right stuff to do well in that old-school country genre. She's a marketer's dream.
  7. I feel bad for Asuelo. I could see a fun-loving American wife with a Jenny McCarthy-type personality adoring him and appreciating his unique zest for life and the cultural differences he brings to a relationship with an American. I feel like if he stays with the Kardashian-wannabe all the cool things about him will be slowly exorcised from his being. It's sad.
  8. I'm so happy TC is back! My boyfriend almost fell out of his chair when they kept showing Padma in her white jumpsuit. I was more focused on her face, trying to figure out what looked different. Facelift? Fillers? Whatever it is -- she looks gorgeous! As a South Carolina resident, I'm always happy when shows like this spotlight Southern places in a better light than someone like Angela from 90 Day Finance does. I saw Padma interviewed on the Today show and she commented how surprised she was that she really liked Kentucky.
  9. When I was 20 like Steven and Olga I couldn't have transitioned from the "summer fling" mode with a guy I was into for less than two months to a "I'm a mom with a baby and we're talking about getting married" mode without a hell of a lot of internal turmoil to work through. That is a big ol' adjustment for the both of them. Add into that the fact that she's speaking a second language to the person she has all the conflict with and trying to communicate those feelings in English -- I just can't imagine. Their scenes just hurt my heart. I much prefer the other couple's scenes that bring my full snark wrath.
  10. Totally agree with this, guilfoyleatpp. I noticed when Larissa made the breakfast sandwiches it sounded like Colt had previously been eating what sounded like a low carb diet (and what she had been ridiculing him about, for "eating like a king."). He or Debbie said something about him usually having eggs and bacon and something with cauliflower, I think it was. She told him he needed "simple" breakfast options (but that looked like white bread - def not low carb friendly).
  11. It looks like she's already had a facelift with some cheek implants, in addition to the fillers and Botox. Her skin is very taut on her face (which is especially evident when she makes the cry face).
  12. I heard a rumor Megyn's done with the show, and then I saw Craig was the host for her show today. Any truth to the rumor?
  13. Darcey looked like a Mariah Carey wannabe in her "Meet at the Park" outfit. #goals
  14. That "tell all" wrap up show or whatever it was called was wretched -- one of the worst things I've ever watched on TV. Why can't TLC find hosts we can make these 90 Day live shows interesting? I seriously would rather see a fun, involved fan from our board run that and ask the questions we all want to know. I don't know who Michelle Collins is and don't care enough to google to find out, but I do know no good interviewer asks so many questions that can be answered with a YES or NO. You ask open ended questions that gets the subject thinking and talking -- and relaxed (so they let down their guard and spill some details). Her interviewing skills were horrible.
  15. Agree! I found Sawyer and Richard to be very similar looking and had a difficult time telling them apart. Initially, I confused them with Matt a few times, but later I could recognize Matt more easily. My beau and I were sad that the other people who weren't rescued got no updates/camera love at the end. It seemed it all ended very abruptly. Also do we know how much those who were rescued got for their cash payout?
  16. I'm guessing the ratings must be crappy, because it seems like they're just trying to push through the episodes and get it over with.
  17. I want to do an episode of "What Not To Wear" for Angela, Rachel, Tarik, and Paul. I think Rachel could be stunning if she took her game up a notch. Angela needs a new hair color and some toned down makeup/clothes, and she would be much more attractive. I want to throw Tarik's Egyptian tank and mesh shirt in the gigantic garbage can. Paul needs some clothes that actually fit. I've got this.
  18. Conspiracy theory 1: I think the producers hyped up the marriage proposal possibility with Noxema big time so that she would have a more dramatic disappointed reaction when Ricky came out with the Melissa stuff out of the gate. (And I'll bet Ricky was coached to do it in that specific setting, too.) She was clearly dressed up and looking extra good, the table was all romantic with roses and candles, etc. And everything she said up until that point was essentially encouraging him to go ahead and propose. I mean, Ricky is a big tool and she's a dummy for being into him, but I still felt a little bad for her.
  19. I got my boyfriend into this show this season, and last night after this episode ended we decided to start watching Season 1 of "Before the 90 Days" (which I had already seen, but he hadn't) so he could see the background on some of the couples. It's weird to go back and see how sweet Kreeny was when she was recruiting Paul and how much better she looked then. And it's apparent that not only has Darcey lost weight in season two but she has done several things to her face since that season. Her style seems to have evolved, too, because she had all those blingy chokers and earrings in the first season. We also noted how often she referred to herself as "Mommy" in the third person (A LOT) during all the footage they shot before she left for Amsterdam. For those that care, the vest that Pole has on in this episode in season two is the cooling vest he proudly shows off in season one as he packs (but we also wondered if it was a bullet proof vest initially). Any bets on whether Kreeny is truly pregnant and having complications in the clinic scene?
  20. I was bummed out that Tim left. I was developing a crush on him. (*Sad trombone sound here*) Did we find out how they're being compensated? Do you think they get a certain amount of $ for each day they stay, and incentives if they are able to wait to be rescued?
  21. So Ricky flies to Colombia with the intention of asking Melissa to marry him, but then Noxema becomes his love interest and then he needs to "vet" her to make sure she's not just in it for the money? Was Melissa going to get vetted? I didn't hear that mentioned.
  22. Anyone else think it was weird that Tracee (I think that's her name) would have access to a charged cell phone to make a video and the phone would still be charged enough that others could watch it later? Then there is no more mention of the phone again, and then women who found it never used it themselves for any fun stuff? The solo people do an awful lot of talking aloud/talking to themselves, so it seems they've been coached to do that by the camera people to help provide action/plots. "Look, I see someone over there. I wonder if I should go visit them?" I think I'm developing a crush on Green Beret/child sex trafficking saver guy.
  23. Dobian, I agree with all of your comments about Darcy. I can see her with a wealthy, older New York-y kind of guy who would be honored to bankroll her designer label fetish. She would still introduce drama, but he would know how to deal with her and assure her when she has those self-esteem flare ups. Overall it would be way less drama. Also I agree with the posters who commended that "Kriny" was definitely cradling her lower abdomen area in the wedding dresses like a pregnant woman would. The suspense builds.
  24. Has it ever come up exactly how much money Ricky was sending Melissa?
  25. Three observations: * Clearly Stacey and Darcey got a special from their doc on the lip and facial fillers, and I suspect they've both had facelifts, too. They probably pressure each other into getting these things done so they'll deal with their insecurities and look the same (rather than one look younger than the other after procedures). * I actually like Angela a little more now after seeing her learning and using the language, greeting locals, etc. She at least put the snail in her mouth and she tried to pretend to be excited about the meal Michael's mother made for her (but we can all agree how vile the way for her to get rid of it was). She's trying to "get it" when it comes to the culture sometimes, which is more than the others. I think her hangup about not getting a Nigerian outfit has less to do with culture backlash and has everything to do with the weight issue (and maybe the cost, because it's clear she's not loaded). I can't believe I'm actually giving her props, because as a child of the South myself, I wouldn't want her to be our first round draft pick for shows like this. But she's doing better than I expected. * I can't wait to see what happens with Ricky's big secret reveal and the brunette chick. Any ideas?
