  1. I handled dynamite one summer in construction work. This situation came up regularly. You would never, ever check the wiring with the power source connected. An accidental explosion this way would be impossible under normal circumstances.
  2. Wow, do I disagree with this. I think it's quite good and I enjoyed every minute of the party. Way better than Charleston, to my mind.
  3. I had zero hopes for the first season based on the negative reviews here but to my surprise I liked it just as much as the original (maybe low expectations had something to do with it).
  4. I thought this was absolutely riveting. Every bit of it was well-done but especially the dialogue. What a contrast after listening to the clunky script on Walking Dead.
  5. Great season. The quality of this show really stands out when you watch it side by side with a series like Fear the Walking Dead. The acting, dialogue, plot are all on a much higher level. There were so many interesting characters this season and they did a good job of getting you invested in them and caring about what happens. My wife could barely stand the stress of worrying about what was going to happen to Jorge. I really hope they make season 4 but it wouldn't be a terrible thing if they went out on a high note. Side note to benteen: Little Big Horn Benteen?
  6. It's a shame that this series apparently has lost its following. I think it's fantastic.
  7. I wish it'd get renewed, too. After reading the forums here, I was expecting to hate this series and stop watching after an episode or two. To my surprise, I found it every bit as enjoyable as the original. I especially liked Catherine's snark.
  8. Yeah, I'm still watching but have to admit my interest waned some after watching West World because of the gaping difference in production values.
  9. I don't think so.
  10. Late to reply, but I believe the coyote is fake. It was probably set out by the condo board to scare ducks away from the pond.
  11. Maybe this was a joke but there was no baby on Connor's back.
  12. The killer dripped blood from the left side of his body as he left the scene. Did the police sneak into OJ's house and inflict a deep cut on his left hand finger? The killer wore extremely rare size 12 Bruno Magli shoes. Did the police sneak into OJ's closet, take the shoes, and return to the crime scene to plant the shoe prints? OJ denied he owned such shoes but photos later surfaced of him wearing them. I could go on and on. He should have been easily convicted even if there were no blood evidence. So no, it's not more complicated than people believing bullshit.
  13. Historical nitpicks. The guy in the cowboy town claimed he was in the 8th Ohio at Pickett's charge and recognized the protaganist as belonging to the 4th Virginia. The 8th Ohio was positioned on the right of the union line and had no close-in fighting with the Confederates. Even if they had, and even if he wasn't blinded by the smoke, the idea that a soldier would focus on the face of some random enemy soldier and remember it 15 years later is laughable. The 4th Virginia was in the Stonewall Brigade and was not part of Pickett's Charge. I really don't expect shows to be historically accurate but there's no reason to just ignore simple things that could be looked up in two minutes. Wayne
