  1. I loved the episode, as usual! Favorite line - Mrs. Patmore (not exact): "By now she has found the mystery of life - I wish I could." I am guessing that Lord Grantham's stomach pains will be the solution for the hospital controversy. He'll need special care from a larger hospital and will change the mind of the Dowager!
  2. I'm sure most people on this forum were shocked that Lady Gaga won the Golden Globe last night! I thought she was pretty good, although not the 'best' actress.
  3. Yeah! I'm reading "The Crossing" now. Love Bosch!
  4. Snookums, I love the your first quote - really makes sense. I also love your explanation of why so many posters hate Alex - again, really makes sense. This season is just getting better and better! How creepy was having the baby sneaking around and hearing the weird sound? Can't figure out if John has some big time backstory (i.e. mass murder) or is just affected by his son's disappearance an crazy. I guess we'll find out soon.
  5. Just read that Jon Snow is back for a long time..... http://www.huffingtonpost.com/entry/kit-harington-jon-snow-humo-interview_55f86151e4b09ecde1d9e88a
  6. I am really enjoying this season. Even though some of it is cheesy (Mickey and his girls and some of the dialogue), I'm loving the twists and turns. I'm worried about Bunchy getting involved with Mickey's 'business'. I hope that somehow his girlfriend/fiancee finds out and reads him the riot act! Please, please writers, don't let him get into trouble with the police or the Armenian gang. I'm hoping that Ray can use his connection with Finney to get him out of any trouble Bunchy may have. I agree that Fr. Romero used Bunchy in a way that was reprehensible, but I don't feel the hate I'm hearing by posters. He was molested himself, and has worked his whole life to find a way to deal with his anger and fucked-up-ness. I prefer to think that we all can be forgiven by God (maybe not by fellow human beings), no matter what we have done. I hope that storyline is over. I just loved Abby and Terry. What a lovely interaction at the Barber Shop and Abby's house. I was shocked and disappointed to see Ray in bed with Katie Holmes. I really hoped he had changed. Guess I can't expect him to be perfect - yet. The whole 'murder' thing was a bit melodramatic but I guessed right. I hope the gang is back together for good!
  7. I love this show! It has been disjointed since the beginning and I enjoy that - makes me think more. Let me see some more Josh and Dorian (and I'm a 68 year old heterosexual woman)! I'll also take some Josh and anyone! The new episode was excellent. Great setup for things to come. I love the witch stuff - how weird they look without clothes. Madame Cali is a real bitch and I love it. And, Frankenstein, you are a bad boy (didn't guess you were a necrophiliac (sp). Disgusting! Vanessa is an excellent actress and I can't wait to see how she defeats Lucifer, again.....! I have a soft spot for Caliban - hope he lasts out the season.
  8. This was the first Bourdain show I didn't like very much. I don't think it was the backward regression. I think it was all the gaming in the show - boring for me. I still love Anthony and got a kick out of seeing him really blasted!
  9. I guess that I am in the minority here as I have enjoyed the entire series, including Season 5. I like the Bateses love story, but hope the murder stuff is done! I was tickled with Edith this episode - she was 'happy'! I think it is Mary's turn to get jilted and not have everything go her way. I detest her hate of Edith. It was nice that Edith reached out for her hand and Mary responded when they were praying about Sybil. As others have mentioned, I adore Carson and Mrs. Hughes completely! I won't miss Tom or Rose. I think Robert is great and just is a product of his upbringing which results in some harshness. At heart, he is a Sweetie! Thomas has grown on me this season and I have hopes for him finding a mate and using his talent of conniving against the enemies of the Crawleys! I already can't wait until next season.
  10. Sounds like ending of "Six Feet Under" finale! Love it.
  11. The Prince did mention he wanted them to be 'lovers'!
  12. I used to like Mary, but she has gotten worse in her meanspiritedness to Edith. I'm glad that Tony seemed to blow her off in their final scene. She wants her cake and wants to eat it too! I think Violet must have loved the Prince once upon a time, and perhaps still does. However, I don't see her abandoning her life-long beliefs for him.
  13. At first I thought he was going to burn up the house too, but then thought it would fall into his hidey hole. I think if he wanted to burn it down, he probably would have just set her on fire! Oh, what a horrendous thought.
  14. What a miserable creep! I can't believe he left his mother in the bed with the candle lit - perhaps for the smell? His death seemed a bit anticlimactic. Anyone else agree? Does anyone remember him from the books? Perhaps I haven't gotten to that book yet. Currently reading book 10.
  15. I really enjoyed season 1 of the series. I'm reading book 10 now, so I've covered what was included in the series. Some surprising changes from the book, but I don't think they ruin anything. Both the book and the series are fun to read/watch. The music is really good. Did anyone notice how the jazzy style changed to bluesy in the final song of the episode 10? What a sicko the killer was! I had a hard time watching the scene when he was chasing his last prey. There is so many stories from the books to cover in the series. It could go on for years! At least I hope so.
