I didn't realize this series was so short. I do like how they dived in so fast, although there were a couple times I could've used more background actually.
Short anime series of 12 episodes plus an ova or two or three is becoming pretty common. There is in fact a Japanese word for this trend and I wish I remember which j-list blog posting mentioned it. A manga series may get several such seasons of 12 but something that didn't come from a manga also tends to now follow the rule of 12 plus ova. Like Deadman Wonderland if you want to see all the extra good stuff you buy the Blu-ray or dvd set.

Except there is plenty of people that read both and don't want blood and guts simply for the sake of blood and guts. Snyder and his ilk miss the point of what is mature in nature rather then a label to keep immature minds away lest they get too excited by the content of the material within.

Well its Warner Bros not DC comics that runs the movie side of things. Marvel at least decided to make Marvel Studios in order to make proper Marvel Movies.

Don't know if this was posted but the net has dug up an old Zach Snyder interview that explains the ultraviolence in Batman v Superman. Basically Snyder thinks maturity means lots of violence for violence sake and that Batman should have had a prison rape origin stpry.

Have any of the trailers shown Sophie Turner speaking? Her acting is a bit hit-or-miss on GoT and i'm wondering if the studio is hiding something. Although that being said, Storm, Psylocke and Angel have had any spoken lines either.
Yes one of the early trailers did show her speaking.

Carol Danvers is was in the Marvel Universe Live event so she has been planned to be the role of Captain Marvel in the movies. Which was pretty good worth the ticket price. I think it may still be touring. If you haven't seen it check it out. Nice amount of action and they do some pretty impressive costume effects although the hulk looks funny. Mar-vell could still be in the movie as how she got her powers and took the name.
The Inhumans did introduce this little tidbit about groot and one just has to root for Maximus the Mad.

I wonder how people will react to these videos. They are sort of scary if you are Christian. They have received pretty much zero radio time in the US due to their theme. But Colbert last Halloween had them on for their first and so far only tv appearance. Thirty no even twenty years ago they would likely have been banned in the US due to the theme of their lyrics.

Easter Island today has over 5000 people . If a major research facility started then the pop could drastically increase and an area of the island become incredibly urbanized. There have been major increases in population when a major facility opens. Sometimes just a few thousand other times tens of thousands.

Now, I love RDJ and Iron Man. And I know that without the success of Iron Man there probably wouldn't be the MCU as we know it now.
But seriously Iron Man does not need to be in every movie in the MCU.
However if the civil war portrayal is true Iron Man was a mentor to this version of Spiderman so it would make sense for him to be in the reboot.

The whole point of Iron Fist is a fish out of water tale. Guess what an Asian in that role going to Asia to learn martial arts is not fish out of water. It fits a non Asian background better. As for James Bond history and the mission history a black guy wouldn't fit the character.
You don't change an established character background to fit some pc agenda. That is not only lazy but an insult.
You want more non white characters or female characters then create them don't change established ones.
I enjoyed Iron Man 3 change of the Mandarin to avoid stereotyping because in the movie it made sense story wise and was a nice twist on the character plus the whole short on the dvd/bluray poking fun at the people angry at the portrayal,
I disagree with the explanation giving as to why Tilda Swinton was chosen and the ancient one be chosen and that the character is androgyneous. Seems on the surface a lazy way to have a woman character in the film to appease demands from the pc crowd. Maybe it makes more sense and is more acceptable when the character is introduced in the movie. .

When you listen to the SJW you realize that they live in bizarre world. They wanted Iron Fist to be Asian and indeed wanted the Ancient One to not be Asian. They wanted James Bond to be black.

I intend to see this next month. I am honestly shocked at how many theaters it opened in and how well it is doing for next to advertising budget.
Of course I wonder if the name has generated a lot of ticket sales making the buyers think its some sort of porno film.

Yeah a movie based off of those books or off the video game series Tie FIghter would have been cool. Grand Admiral Thrawn and Rogue Squadron as well as Gray Squadron were some of the best expanded universe stuff.

I don't think Darth Vader was implied in the trailer. Those two characters in red are the Emperor's bodyguards.
It has been stated that this film is about ordinary people fighting the Empire so no Jedi powers or lightsabers.

Yet its had drop offs that would without them make the movie a billion dollars in revenue already. 700 million is actually considered a disapointment considering the budget, advertising, hype and the upcoming movies that tie into it.

Red eyes with white hair is usually a style thing in anime. Like blond hair with brown or black skin its just there for contrast. Heterochromia is also common such as no irises or one eye being a different color then the rest.
Its to make characters stand out. Ever wonder why the vast majority of manga/anime characters are foreign looking? Its because Japanese or Asian characters all tend to look like one another when drawn. You can count the animes where the characters look Asian and are listed as being Asian on one hand.

Much like the Fantastic Four reboot the changing of the character was a huge red flag that the movie will suck. Namely because a gender or race change from the established property is a huge sign the director, producer, writer, studio is doing something majorly wrong. This tends to be borne out through the awful remakes Hollywood and other outlets have done through the years. The only time such changes work is if they are done as parody but a good or great parody and it is known from the start it is parody, a what if or alternate take and it is explained as such but it has to be good or great.
I think this all female ghostbusters is going to suck and not in the way that is enjoyable.
