  1. Back to my Season 9 rewatch.

Daphne's reverse proposal?  Re-proposal? back to Niles after Niles found her father was very sweet.

And I liked watching Cora and Frasier trick Martin and Cam, that was really fun, until Cora and Martin's kiss which unfortunately was made incredibly awkward by John Mahoney.  LOL.

Watching Frasier and Roz talk FOR AN ENTIRE EPISODE about how they had sex the previous one was so uncomfortable. I wonder if anyone on the planet was ever asking for the two of them to hook up.  It's not as bad as Rachel Green and Joey Tribbiani, but it's close.

I don't like the Rays but it is impressive. I think I can safely say that anyone thinking they will finally face a good team when they come to Toronto this weekend is mistaken.

We have a good lineup but our pitching sucks.

    Oops!  Jays win easily....

Eh, I spent the first 20 years of my career in fashion (as a department store buyer).  My father spent his entire career, 60 years, in fashion.

So did my mother.  And yet even if she didn't, I think that anyone's opinion on the topic would be valuable.

  4. It's funny to hear week after week that Dale is this horrible human being but to see no evidence of it.  I guess I missed the flashback to his first season, I don't remember it.

Tom (the contestant, but possibly also the judge) is a dick.  So is Buddha.

I don't like Tom the judge.  He could certainly deliver his messages in a better way.  I think he relishes being a jerk. I'm fine with Tom the contestant and I love Buddha so they haven't really bothered me yet.

  5. Micah and Paul's parents look like they are related to the opposite person.  I kept thinking that the parents were hugging the wrong child.

I went back to watch Marshall's little segment.  Poor guy.

Thank you for taking one for the team and counting. I know it’s been mentioned in previous episode threads, but it’s really obvious when the cc’s are on. And, Paul seems to be picking up the habit as well. Or has he been doing it all along? Not as much as Micah, but definitely more than 1/40th as much! 😉

    I NOTICED THAT TOO

  7. Not sure what to say.  I guess my advice is to FF through the intro to Brett and Tiffany and Bliss and Zack's weddings like I did :)

Why did it seem like Bliss have doubts, because I definitely didn't watch.  Now you got me curious but as I said before I feel like she's been lying about these so called doubts the whole time.

Micah's BFF is still nasty as hell.

Honestly, I was pretty surprised at Kwame saying Yes and Paul saying No.

  8. Pitch clock controversy - this article converted me pro-pitch clock immediately:

"Okay, sickos, you actually asked for this:

That’s not a screengrab, folks. It’s a 9.9-second GIF with nary a flinch, maybe the least active 9.9 seconds in sports history. Miguel Cabrera made $160 in that GIF, and the only movement around him is a brief rustle in the dugout and about two inches of lean by umpire Ben May. Before this GIF, the baserunner Jorge Polanco actually snuck out to go to a party and left a uniform stuffed with pillows and a tape recorder of himself snoring. Those 9.9 seconds of pre-pitch-clock baseball were, appropriately enough, sponsored by a wall advertisement for Miller Lite, the original boring beer.

I bet you can already guess what the next frame of that video would have been if I’d let it roll, the exciting movement that reanimated those human statues: Zimmermann stepped off the mound, to start the sequence over."

    She's hurting her liver.

So you feel like she deserves judgement?  You believe that people should tell a 56 year old woman when she should drink and how much?

People have this very dramatic idea of alcoholism if somebody drinks.  Marisol is on an all expenses paid vacation.  Some people drink without hurting anyone else or their own life so I can't understand where the judgement comes in.  Again - she is on vacation.  For example, the person who set up an investigation about a missing bottle of alcohol and demanded to look through everyone's personal belongings to find it was not Marisol.

  10. Gabri congratulating Nicole, even though his team was on the bottom, was so sweet!  He has an amazing attitude.

I loved Nicole saying outright that she's just interested in the money, but my excitement was dampened when I realized the editors simply inserted that statement to telegraph the ending.

Ali jumping over tables.  Calm down dude LOL this is cooking

  11. I actually have sympathy for Marisol.  I don't watch her season so I don't know her but I think she should drink any time of day and it doesn't matter.  Happy drunks should do whatever they want, they're not hurting anyone.  I think people's judgement of her online feels very puritan.  I think a man who drank like her would not be judged the same way.

It was actually much more appalling in terms of Porsha and Gizelle's behavior when Pepsi gathered them all and started talking about how it was difficult for him to differentiate between real hostilities and what they are doing for the "show"

I watch with closed captions and Gizelle was whispering to Porsha that she didn't really care what he thought because he was paid - given a paycheck - and so they could essentially treat him like the hired help.

It was really a glimpse into the truly dark depraved soulless entity that wears Gizelle's skin.

    Oh, I agree.

We thought Leah would be the villain/Dorinda of this season.  But it's Gizelle.

Alexia making what Whitney was doing about her kids … eyeroll.

Pole dancing is so popular and normal these days.  And movies like "Hustlers" have made it even more so.  To say you've never been on a pole "because you're not a ho" is so weird.  Marisol said that.  But she won me back by saying that she WANTS to be a ho.  LOL.

I wasn't surprised at all. I actually yelled to the TV, "He likes baseball cause it's boring just like him!" [Runs and hides from all the baseball fans in the thread! 😜

No, baseball is boring.  We are completely aware of that even as fans.

He doesn't care about pleasing Ty!  Not in the least!  He said as much himself in the Diary Room in last night's episode!  He just wanted him to think that he was with him until he could finally take the shot at him!

There is really no difference.  And effectively, both have the same result.   He can feel whatever feeling he wants and say whatever he wants to the camera, but the action that he actually took was pleasing Ty, letting Ty put himself on the block.  That gives major advantage to Ty and very little advantage to Hope.  In the end, who is pleased by this action?  Ty.  So you can say "Hope doesn't want to please Ty" but what really happened?  Hope pleased Ty!

Hope cared enough about it to let himself be put on the block, and potentially be evicted this week, and that's not nothing.

  15. 23 minutes ago, Victor Magnolia said:

That's not true.  Hope and Jonathan hate Ty and don't trust him at all.  Both want to take him out the first chance that they can get.

Well they're pretty awful at it?  Behind Ty's back Hope is all talk but he put himself on the block a million times and is probably leaving this week.  And this is Ty's HOH week.  Hope could have said NO don't put me on the block but he's more obsessed with pleasing Ty than saving himself.  This is evidenced by:  Him being on the block this week!  The proof is in the pudding.

I think that tonight shows that he's probably very close to blowing things with Claudia.

I think I've already suspected this 3 times before and it never pans out.  I'll believe it when I see it.  Claudia seems to forgive him for the world.  What could Ty do that's worse than waiting until his ally is in trouble and then ratting Hope out to the producers?    I think that's worse than even putting Claudia or Shanaya on the block, and yet, Claudia thinks nothing of it.

I kind of rolled my eyes at Gregory trying to make small talk with the school nurse.  It's one thing to not be great at small talk.  It's another to write the guy like he's barely able to hold a conversation.

He wants to be princiPAL, and he didn't even realize how important it is in that role to be able to speak to everyone in the school.  It's something he needs to learn and I can understand he's not the best at it.  Social anxiety makes people react in weird ways.

I'm not even one who follows sports and that was the first thing that came to my mind, too :p!

Probably because we grew up with examples like Martin on "Frasier" or even Frasier not wanting to know what happens at the end of a movie or a play 😄

@Annber03 I remembered the episode -- It was the one Felicity Huffman was on, one of my favourites "A Man, A Plan, and a Gal Julia" she spoils the baseball game for Martin  😄

  18. As an enormous baseball fan I would have hated someone telling me the score (I go home and watch the recording later LOL) but I think it was made clear that Shenae (?) really wanted to know the score, so that's ok then.

I would have never pegged Gregory for liking baseball, but he's always throwing curveballs (pun) with what he likes.

I was such a big fan of Cookie Lyon until I felt like she was kinda ruined in the second season so I had really built up this Taraji spot in my head.  It was kind of a disappointment.  Ava being scared of her was good though.  It was really more about Janine's growth as a person and learning to set a boundary and taking care of herself.

I kept wondering if the phone thing was going to be a lie, but that was sidestepped by Janine saying she would go directly to the source.  Obviously she had no suspicions that it was a lie, but I was surprised that it wasn't.

And might I say that I'm tickled pink to see that Ty's HoH has turned out to be a complete, utter disaster.  First, Canada saves his primary target.  Then, an ally of his secondary target saves her with the Veto.  Now he's forced to put up two pawns he didn't even want to see go.

Ty has complete free will.  He could have put up almost anyone else in the house.  Daniel C. Anika Kuzie.  But he chose the people he wanted to put up.  So....... it's not like he's exactly losing here.  He has allies everywhere you look.  The only people who are working against him are Santina and Renee and possibly Shanaya now.

Daniel C. seems to work for him.  Hope, stupidly, seems to work for him.  Claudia seems to work for him.  A lot of people just swan about trying to curry favour with him.  So I don't think he's in this remarkably awful spot yet.

Anyway, this episode was so depressing. I don't love that Hope cheated in the game but he's so likeable and all of his crying over Jonathan being nominated with him was just so miserable to watch.  But I keep saying I'll quit watching and I don't, so it's my own fault.
