  1. Kirby:  Hey Roz.  What have you been doing since I took you to prom?
    Roz:  Mostly showering.

It must be David Hyde Pierce's birthday, he's featured on this account today:

I actually like the new twist on the duets, where the contestants make their own pairings (instead of the judges doing it). Less opportunity for producer manipulation, and reminiscent of the old 'group night', where there was a lot of drama involved in people forming groups.

    Totally agree.

Is anyone wondering why on OG they literally have an entire detective devoted to pulling up camera footage from everywhere in the city, and yet SVU does not have video of public parks, alleys, or hotels? Maybe Benson should call over to the 2-7 and ask to borrow their video lady.

I hated how they were so obnoxious about Muncy's brother being a good CI. Would you rather he suck at it? Was he supposed to approach the bartender and just say "Hey. Can you maybe slip date rape drugs to some girls? I'll give you pictures and you call me when they're incapacitated. K?"

It would be amazing if Muncy left and we got her brother instead 😄

    606:  Hollywood Week Part 1

American Idol alumni return as mentors to build confidence, stage presence, and songwriting as they prepare for performances on the Hollywood Week stage.

    April 2, 2023.

    Some notable performances

Matt Wilson - Can You Stand the Rain?
Ian - I Can't Make you Love Me
Blonde piano player with an original song about her brother

I don't know the names of the contestants but some songs sung were "And I Am telling you I'm not Going", "Black Hole Sun" by Soundgarden, "Make you feel my Love" by Bob Dylan/Adele, "Vienna" by Billy Joel, "Cold as Ice" by Foreigner, "How Will I Know", Whitney Houston.

A girl also sang "Movin the Line" which is an original song from the show "Smash" - honestly, I liked the performance!  But she was cut.

I think two separate people auditioned with "My Mind" by Yebba - do I have the artist right?  I don't know that song.

    Fire sang poorly again.

I don't know if I buy Henry not wanting the scifi job. I can see him being apprehensive, but even in his 40s, it's not that late. Jon Hamm didn't get Mad Men until his 40s. You parlay the role into other jobs. I don't know, but I didn't get the feeling coaching the kids was some epiphany. What bothers me a little is that he's considered a good actor. Certainly not A list, but a workable actor. It just strikes me as jarring.

That annoyed me too.  It felt really contrived, for the purposes of leaving the open for Season 4, but they could easily do Season 4 if Henry did that movie and it tanked or something.  I don't know.  Or he could visit the crew or they could see him at an industry party.

But, Adam made it work acting wise, and from what he did, it was very believeable.  Just annoyed me plot wise.  Also if he becomes a success, he'd be more in Casey's world which could only be a good thing.  I think.

I kinda wish we had gotten a whole sketch on the Gwyneth Paltrow ski trial. That whole thing was so weird. I thought it was perfect for the show to skewer.

Yeah, that would have been good, or I was expecting something Abbott Elementary ish.

They really should have done a Gwyneth sketch for the cold open, reading about how everyone is just sick of Trump by now.  That kind of musical humour doesn't do it for me either.

  7. Joshua could have been good, also the random hot guy she met at the coffee shop that she wore the yellow dress for, but all of these times, Rachel was hung up on Ross.  :(  Not fair.

Another bad love interest they gave Rachel and one of my favourite episodes - Ben Stiller as The Screamer.

  8. I'm kind of pushing things to call "Murder Mystery 2" a romantic comedy - it's more of an action comedy - but I had a lot of fun watching it and I liked it better than the first movie (which I was really disappointed by). The ratings have not been good, but I definitely liked it enough. It was a short, easy watch with a lot of scenery porn.  Oh, and

    Spoiler

    an absolutely gorgeous Indian wedding.

Lonely Island - well, I still think the only reason they got picked out of all the sketch groups in NY is their dads. They're not bad, but they never really make me laugh and laugh.

They're called Please Don't Destroy. The  Lonely Island is Andy Samberg's group.

PDD doesn't really do music, do they?  And now that Chris Redd is off the show, I guess there won't be many musical numbers, unless they're by the women.

Quinta has been great so far,

    She was born for this.

Some of the sketches I felt were a little lacklustre, and didn't showcase her when I thought they should have, but whatever.

Some of the humour was very relatable.  I totally can relate to the Bridesmaids sketch, but that could have been anyone in Quinta's place.  She was great in the highway/driving sketch.  I had to Google the Panic! at the Disco lyrics.  I did not know that song at all.  Maybe an age thing?  I don't know.  But I COULD relate to the PDD sketch - I too did not want to figure out the subway when I visited NYC and just walked everywhere (LOL) and I also had nightmares the last time I had oxtail.

Funny how Quinta's goodbye speech went on forever like she was accepting an award.  Got cut off on my side, but I'm sure SNL will put it on their Twitter.  (Sad, thinking about how Twitter used to be a reliable social media.)

On the Garlin situation: Curb could go on without Marty or even Richard, but I really wouldn't want a Curb season without Jeff. Maybe it could turn into a story if they had him die, but the character is so close to the core of the show, and has been since the first scene of the 1999 special. I like Garlin's rapport with the other major players.

Disagree personally.  11 seasons with Jeff is more than enough.  Larry divorced Cheryl in Season 7 and the show's been fine with her having a much more reduced role.  Leon wasn't even in the show in the first 5 seasons and now he's a main character.  There's ebbs and flows, and it does not matter.

Kwame?  What is you doing? Really?  Why are you still asking putting doubts out there when you are talking to Micah?  Man, there is just no rooting for him.

Micah tries so hard to keep Kwame hangin' on, just like The Supremes song.

  13. I have been thinking that Jackie is bipolar for ages.  Something is very wrong there, and she needs help.  Honestly, even though I looooooooove Marshall, something's a little wrong with him that he wants to fix her too.

Why would Micah listen to these absolutely drunk idiots?  It would only be to her detriment.

I think it's bc she said people compare her to Megan Fox in the pods. He thought he was gonna get his first trophy GF instead of the Granola girls he normally dates

Paul dates Granola girls.  Not Zack.

Not true. Pretty sure they all had to "date" him in the pods.

Okay, they "Dated" him in the pods and as soon as they were all released and saw his looks and demeanour, they ran squealing from him because they suddenly think he's a freak.  I hope that explains it better.

  16. I can't believe it's over already.

The Casey stuff shook me, that was just wonderful.  Definitely helped to make up for Constance's Zoom stuff.  Good lord I cannot stand people appearing by Zoom.

Henry had more chemistry in that brief scene with Casey than he did with Evie all season long.

There's a lot of articles/mentions out there about Adam and Lizzy's crazy chemistry, even by the show creators, and yeah.

Maybe Padma couldn't believe that Victoire ate something she knew could cause that reaction?  It wasn't as if she didn't know she was allergic.   I'm just glad she was OK.

Victoire ate walnuts?  I thought she was just near them?  If I'm near a stove when pepper is in the pan, which is like every day, I sneeze too.

LOL, THANK YOU!  I had the exact same thought.

  18. I started out being so mad at Kuzie for putting two women up to support her "Women's Alliance".  I have no idea what would have happened if Vanessa wasn't pulled for medical reasons.  Makes me annoyed just to think about it.

But, it's easy to forgive Kuzie after all of her amazing moves and speeches this week.  She's so cool.

Zack is one of the most controlling reality TV contestants I've ever seen.  He was upset when Vanessa showed emotion, he was upset when Santina tried to go to the washroom, he was upset when Hope wanted to speak.  There's something deeply wrong with him.

But, don't worry, I hate Ty too!

I thought that Dan S. was gay, but I guess he's in a romance with the brunette woman who's name I don't know?  I hope Claudia gets therapy after this, she should have more self confidence than to align herself with such a bad person.

Eh, the title was kind of spoilerish, wasn't it?

    YES!

I never know anything and even I knew the drug was in the limes.  Although, I was 50% is Churlish faking it?  and then soon realized she wasn't.  LOL.

  20. Obviously the show is highly edited, but I did notice Gail nicely asking if Victoire was okay, and then the cameras just showing a shot of Padma looking inconvenienced 😄
